It's not a fanfic. People are not used to see Sasuke acting in a different way with his loved ones since he was a kid. He's MARRIED.

I've realized Naruto fandom doesn't seem to want to see Sasuke's happiness. Y'all expect him to be cold forever. Congratulations. If you think like this, you probably don't understand anything about him.

Anyways, I loved how the author was able to read Sasuke's heart and thoughts. I loved the theme with all these astronomical elements, it's really beautiful and I don't remember seeing it in Naruto before.
The edotensei thing with dinosaurs is interesting, but it seemed easy to solve after all. I love Sasuke and I'm glad we had a chance to acknowledge that he loves and feels loved too.

This book was actually really good. I don’t understand all the negativity just because sasuke doesn’t act like how he used to during the shippuden era. You guys need to grow up.

Unlike people trolling the novel with reviews, I ACTUALLY read the novel which is only available in Japanese at the moment.

The bad reviews are bias and come from people who didn't read the novel. Why can I say that with confidence? Because the fan-made English translation online is not accurate. They claim that the characters were ”out of character ” based on translations made by fans, but haven't actually read the original work!

Translations not done by a PROFESSIONAL are mostly bias a well. And even more if the translation is made by sasusaku fandom.

The main character was NOT out of character at all. It was portrayed very well, coming with a dark past and losing all your family you are going to hold dear the new family you have. That is OBVIOUS!

The novel was interesting and I'm sure when the official English version is released all the people that started trolling with this novel are going to feel very silly.

If you can't read Japanese, you shouldn't leave a review. PERIOD.

People I know have also read it, and we all agree that the author explored and gave answers to all questions there were regarding the most powerful couple’s relationship.
We finally see Sasuke up close and personal not only as a father and friend but as a husband as well. Such growth and warmth made me extremely happy as I always wanted him to find true hapiness and peace especially since he has redeemed himself.
The love and connection he shares with his wife Sakura is not negotiable at this point. Big thank you to Esaka-sensei for amazing writing and knowledge of characters and also Kishimoto-sensei for giving his seal of approval and designing a stunning cover of the spouses!

I understand liking a ship/character and all but… you can’t possibly be a Sasuke stan if you love this. You may like this author’s version of him, as the author themselves said it’s their version and not canon, but for Kami’s sake don’t argue with people that say he’s ooc because he is.

Kishi’s Boruto!Sasuke - doesn’t blink when his wife is transformed into another dimension by a dangerous enemy (and don’t tell me ‘he was confident in her abilities, Naruto and Sarada had spent way more time with her and they did get worried, also later he proved he has poor knowledge of her medical skills), clearly sees his wife wants to kiss him - turns away, has a freaking cell phone + messanger hawks - Sakura says he never contacts her, how hard is it to send a freaking message and ask how is she or how his actual child looks like. When he finally comes to the village - goes to Uzumaki family.

Esaka’s Sasuke - gets possessive when another guy tries to touch Sakura, wants to give her a ring, says they have this great bond (when in fact they know shit about each other)

How are these two versions supposed to represent the same character/relationship?

I’m not saying Sasuke is some cold and emotionless character, because he isn’t, but he just doesn’t show much emotion when with Sakura because they don’t have an actual bond but their child. He got shocked and hugely worried when Naruto was hit with a metal rod, although he knows damn well Naruto can heal himself in two seconds (like he did), but doesn’t blink when the enemy he and Naruto had a hard time fighting transformed Sakura in another dimension.

SS fans love this idea of 'cold boy doesn’t show much emotion but he clearly loves this girl and they don’t see physical contact as something they need to do’ while it’s actually that Sakura is obsessed with him(and confirmed in Gaiden that she CHASED after him) and they have no physical contact because Sasuke doesn’t WANT IT, not because they don’t need it. I agree that physical contacnt isn’t the most important thing in marriage/relationship but sorry not sorry if you have a cell phone and don’t call your wife in 12+ years you clearly don’t miss her.

Sasuke is not afraid of bonding or physical contact, he just doesn’t want it with Sakura, hell even he did come to the village he goes to the Uzumaki house first and genuinely cares about Boruto’s relationship with his parents, while he let Sarada believe Sakura isn’t her real mom and doesn’t make much effort, CANON MATERIAL ONLY, to actually bond with her. Sasuke is very clear about his feelings and emotions, as we’ve seen with Naruto and Itachi, and he isn’t afraid to show them, because he doesn’t care about what people think of him. Never has he given any mixed signals that would conclude something he doesn’t actually feel, if he hates someone or loves someone, he’s gonna show it, and not he’s not gonna do that every 500 hundred chapters, you just need to pay his character attention.

Wow that was a long one, again, love the book all you want I don’t care, but don’t make Sasuke seem like something he isn’t.

Absolutely in love with this. Shows not just Sasuke's evolution, but that of his marriage too. The plot is exciting (spy/detective work is my favorite trope) and makes me look forward to the culmination of the series.

I love it. In some scene Saske kun is little different from the one we used to know but I think he isn"t so OOC.
I hope it will be a movie or animation about it.

Sakura talking about Sasuke
☁︎ ''He's very kind, and he's very pure. Sometimes he's too blunt, and it makes things tough for him and everyone who knows him. His thinking can jump from one extreme to the other. But I like that about him. And he's very attractive physically, but he has absolutely zero interest in that. I love that about him.''

I support and always have for more than 13 years this complicated ship.
Understanding the dynamic of these characters takes way more empathy than trolls have.
Be mature and open, if you already love the characters you'll love to see them in more scenarios interacting, canon or not.
Bye.

Edit:
Noticing that my comment was short, I wanted to give a more proper review. YES!!!😁😁

I'm glad to be a fan of NARUTO's manga and anime (even though I did skip some caps🤭) and to see it from the very beginning, where everything was just a theory of what could happen. (Man, I miss those days)🥺
Able to see how everyone was constructing a bond and their ninja path, it made me understand them better.🥰
And when the manga end, (it broke my heart😟😭💔) I could see their development and how they changed and growth (my babies 💚🧡💙💖)
Sasuke and sakura are characters (for me) to be appreciated. 💕
❤️I love their bond, their connection, and their love.❤️
***(YES and I'm going to put this in capital letters.)***
💖THEY LOVE EACH OTHER!!! 💙
💜THEY LOVE EACH OTHER!!!❤️
I like Sasuke growth and kind heart, (and if you haven't noticed, he has a significant and soft heart, but he covers it with hard stone)
***I don't know if I said it right, but I hope you can get my point***😗🙃
****And by the way, for me it's hard to express myself in English because I cannot translate all my Spanish thoughts*** #Bilingualissues 👍🏽
>>>>>REWINDING TO THE TOPIC<<<<
Sasuke is one of the characters that it took me time to understand it. 🤔
But I DIDN'T JUDGE HIM; because I was confident that he was lost and confused, he was walking with the wrong people and guided by dark thoughts, and this could happen to any teenager or adult.
He regrets hurting his friends and the people who might love him; he cries of what he did. He finally understands that he was wrong, and he wants to heal it. 🍃
Sasuke Uchiha is a new person, an adult with a wise mind.🍃
He is a warrior that wants to protect his HOME.
He is a teacher that wants to help future generations.
He is a man that sacrifices.
And especially....
He is a FATHER and HUSBAND.👨‍👩‍👧
Husband of a beautiful, intelligent, and strong woman.🌸
A doctor with a great soul to heal🌸
and the mother of a beautiful daughter.
🌸SAKURA UCHIHA (HARUNO)🌸
**** To be continued...***
**** Review in process***

🥰🥰The most beautiful and powerful couple. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Thank you kishi and jun esaka for clarifying the meaning of sasuke life. A very beautiful novel and maturity side of sasuke uchiha who literally love his family, sakura and sarada, naruto with all of his heart. He was no more in the shade of darkness. He is strong soul with strong emotions no wonder some peeps just cant digest the real self of him ❤ just want to see him suffer and want to see him cold, heartless person who dont give a shit where he actually has suffered the whole life because of his brothers lies.. glad to see him lovable by everyone because he is the one who gets lonely.. there is no true fan of sasuke, but sasuke wankers..

So, I don't get all the hate from all these... interesting accounts. I get it you don't like Sakura, or you don't like Sasuke showing emotions. But can't we just be decent human beings and let people enjoy what they like without making multiple fake accounts to rain on their parade?

As a NaruHina fan, I've liked the two Retsuden books so far, based on the translations I've read. And I'm excited for the Naruto Retsuden one. Congrats to the author, Jun Esaka, for penning these wonderful spin-off books and for being constantly a best seller. I hope there will be a lot more of Naruto in the next book! Thank you.

Lmao what's with all these 'ALL THE BAD REVIEWS ARE FROM PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T READ THE NOVEL BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT JAPANESE'

I know this might sound crazy but, YOU DON'T NEED TO BE JAPANESE TO KNOW THEIR LANGUAGE.

But seriously like, that's the dumbest excuse I heard for someone trying to validate hate for their ship.

Like, SS was even proclaimed WORST anime couples on TheTopTens few years in a row, and they still hold the first spot

Yes, I enjoyed this book. It was whimsical and fun, while also delving into the character. It has a lot of heart. Don't agree? That's fine. But you don't have to make fake accounts just to try to drive this book down. Honestly that's pathetic and makes you worse than the things you say about the author.

Another thing. Stop sending hate mail to the author. If you seriously think this is enough of a reason to send death threats and harassment to the author then you're toxic and you need to grow up. Yeesh.

This was a fun read. The characters were as I expected they'd be and more. I'm not ashamed I enjoyed it. The person who should be ashamed is the kid who made multiple fake accounts (with names taken from Naruto no less) just to rate this book 1 star. .

It’s a really good book who shows us Sasuke’s actual character, he shows a lot of emotions to whom people are not used to but I think that this is Sasuke’s real character. I loved all the moments, thank you so much for creating it!

For People over here talking about "you didn't read it but I did and your opinion is bias" lmao you're being bias for saying that literally everyone rating is being bias cause it's their opinion duhh 🤡
I did read it and it was freaking terrible, and plus even the creator said it's a spin off (just check her Twitter) so it's not even Canon it's just a fanfiction kishimoto was basically forced to draw for the public.
Also I love Sasuke and sakura both but I hate sasusaku, at first I thought this book was going to explain everything but it didn't.
And people over here like "ofc he acts like this it's his family" in the Canon kishimoto manga he still acts cold af to everyone he's just more chill, and there's also the fact that the only reason why this "family" exist is because of Gilt Tripping and the damn ring?! Like in the manga hinata and kureani are shown wearing a ring so that's also why this whole book doesn't make sense.
So y'all over here like "you guys just don't want Sasuke to be happy" I pretty sure Sasuke would of be a hell of a lot happier be independent and fixing up the uchiha police force instead of being forced Into a romance sitcom. And Sakura definitely deserves better.

Thankfully, the author's declared the novel non-canon himself (herself) on his twitter; so I'm somewhat pacified. I absolutely dislike this out-of-character version of a lovey-dovey Sasuke. He's one of my most favourite characters of all time, and to see him get reduced to a jealous lover is . . . it grates on my nerves. I despise it.

This, for all intents and purposes, is a fanfiction. I see the self-inserting pairing fanatics (who also seem to love Sakura so much and are female readers) rating this very highly. Predictable. I'd give this a zero if I had the chance. Shame.

I think it's a good book which I was hooked at the beginning, on what was happening until the end. I love how the author wrote Sasuke and Sakura's characters, specially Sasuke's and their bonds as wife and husband .The fighting scene was entertaining too ! So I need to give the author the rating she deserve.

Marvelous book, the writing is fluid and beautiful and it was surreal to be able to read such a profound and touching view of two of the most beloved characters in the Naruto franchise.

I'm constantly mesmerized - even months after finishing the book- with how well and precise the author understands the characters, perhaps equal or second to none other than Kishimoto-sensei himself, and with how much of an impact it had upon me. I'm beyond happy that Esaka-sensei has been the one to provide such an intimate account of the Uchiha dynamic as she's the only one who can truly grasp the characters and faithfully portray them with such beauty.

A truly great read, from probably the greatest trilogy/series of Naruto novels to date! Cannot recommend enough!
