They resent it, but tolerate it because they find themselves in a moral no-man's-land where they can indulge their darkest vices. My spies are not capable of jumping onto an oil rig from an airplane, but very capable of connecting with my readers by hitting their funny bone in terms of their inner drives, motivations, phobias, and obsessions. На времето много обичах да чета Христо Калчев и неговите наречени от него „вулгарни романи“. Този роман е подобна историческа версия за корумпирани политици в България, олигарси, мафия и служби. В книгата се говори за министър-председателя на България, ЦРУ и истинският убиец на Георги Марков. Главната героиня е младши офицер от ЦРУ, която разбира психологията на мъжете и живее в София. Прочетох я на английски и сега на български. Наистина беше невероятно приключение за мен и ме накара да обърна жадно страниците. Романът е вдъхновен от истинската история на някои от убийствата на изтъкнати мафиотски босове, помели Източна Европа през 2005.. и авторката е успяла да претвори поредица от хладнокръвни убийства в мрачен романс между самотна шпионка и самотен убиец.
