Sir Torrance Green Baker has a sacred duty to serve the kingdom and protect both the king and his people. For most that would mean taking up a sword and forcing his lands enemies back by force. For Tor it means something very different. Magic on a level that even the times of legend don’t speak about. Which often isn’t enough. Now, to make everything work out, he’s going to have to move past everything that he’s ever known and become greater than anyone would have ever imagined for him. That, or die. There are always options, after all.
P.S. Power works in fiction, mainly focusing on Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror genres, with brief forays into other things just to keep life interesting. He averages 1 to 2 books monthly and has several series going. He lives in an isolated cabin in the middle of nowhere, as a recluse, yet still manages to find time to talk to people online, in a positive and delightful manner. Not one of those creepy hermit types though, you understand. It's more of an isolated farm style thing. Or ranch really. He's also interested in three dimensional photography, and long moonlit walks on the beach, sometimes with vampires. When he can find time he also does writing and voice work for scripted online programs. Anyway, feel free to drop him a line. Or visit his forum: http://pspowerbooks.com/phpBBF/index.php
In chatting with Dale over the past few weeks, it was decided that he was interested in blogging to you, his readers. The blog he had within the main site was not going to be a viable solution and there were thoughts of just creating a Forum where only he could post and everyone else could reply. This MOD is a nice meeting of the two for what will hopefully be a highly successful blog!
Hoping this first (and only) post by me will kick off a nice method of interaction with Dale's readers!

p.s. - Also going to try and get the feed that comes with this to feed into Amazon and Goodreads. Good luck to one and all!! ]]>
Was enjoying the series but by this point it was starting to get really tedious. Same thing over and over. Make 1000 of one thing or another, have sex with one of the other characters, feel sorry for himself then repeat.
Rating 2.0 stars - DNF. Well, initially I put this book down. Call it more of a rage quit. But after reading a bunch of spoilers, messaging my friend Paps and taking a little bit of a break, I did finish the book on 12/16/19. My initial review is below, I was about 1/2 way through when I wrote it and that's the way I felt at the time. Things did get better for Tor, he started to stand up for himself a little more and could understand when people were lying to him as well. While he might never end up super happy, I hope he doesn't have those periods of despair that the had by the halfway point. I will up the star rating to 3 star. Still debating if I should read the next one.
Initial Review: "I can't do it anymore. After what happened to Tor in the last book, I was pretty devastated, then to see what happens to him in this story. It's just too much. I went ahead and read some reviews for the next couple of books and it doesn't look like it gets any better. Apparently Tor will never be happy and everyone will always treat him like shit. I try to put myself into the main characters place when I read, so when Tor is treated like shit, I FEEL like shit. I can put up with that for a little while if there is going to be a good outcome, but that's not likely to happen. No matter how much I like the magic system and the world building, it is absolutely not worth it for me to walk around feeling like shit and pissed off just to finish the series."
Well we have mutch more growing up for Tor in this book, we finally see him maturing in this new envioroment he is trust now, there are some unpleasents truths revealed and quite the disagreements in here. Now I have to congratulate the author for fooling me so long the nature of the first novel was an obvios missdirection for the destination of this series, and I am thrilled to find out wich is.
Tor is such an interesting character. Not pompous as well and is never afraid of doing some hard work. His work ethic in regards to his builds and in physical training is inspiring!
Kinda more of the same but we are getting more deeply into the realm and it's people. This book leads us into more of the complexity of the conspiracy and you will start wondering who is really the bad guys. Things get pretty ugly against our hero and we start really wondering if his life will ever get better. I admit that in this book I really started getting put off and hoping that there was more to this series than the main character taking knockdown after knockdown. And how badly can things get with Thrice, she was his first love dammit! But if you are like me you want to find out and keep going.
I trudged through book two with all the self loathing and nonsense it had. I have no idea how book one could be so damn good (despite the main chars cluelessness and self loathing), but book two took it too damn far.
Now comes book three by chapter five its already rehashing that nonsense. The premise is good as is the plot. The characters kill this story entirely though.
This series has very good world building, and I like the interaction between the characters. The magic system is unique, and works very well. However, there are many editing errors throughout the books. It's jarring to come across these while reading, totally kicks me out of the experience.
