One of the hottest series in Urban Fiction is back for your reading pleasures!!! This is an edited revamped rerelease!!
Best friends Ashleigh and Amanda both dealt with their own forms of heartbreaks. Ashleigh is madly in love with the potential she once saw in her boyfriend, Dre. It's no secret that everyone doesn't live up to their potential and he proves that true. Amanda was shown love in its purest form only for life to shuffle the deck and deal her a losing hand. They say time heals all things but the lost of her first love still haunts her years later. When life proves to be too much the duo decides to skip town for a change of scenery. Twin brothers, Harlem and Houston have quickly made a name for themselves in the streets of New York. Running the streets leave little time for love so running into Amanda and Ashleigh was something neither men expected but was surely welcomed. An unplanned 7 day vacation and a chance encounter changes the way these women think when it comes to men. Is less than a week enough for Houston and Harlem to sweep these feisty women off of their feet? Will Amanda finally try love for a second go round? Will Ashleigh finally accept the love that she deserves?
Part 2
After years of faking happiness, never did Ashleigh think her secrets would come back to haunt her. On the day that most women are their happiest she's staring in the eyes of the man she plans to promise forever and the man she will love forever. Should she go down the road she is certain of or down the road that may or may not contain her happiness? Though Harlem may be the obvious choice, all isn't right in his chaotic world. Harlem is carrying around a secret that is sure to send Ashleigh running for the hills. With more money, power and drama then he knows what to do with, Harlem finds himself with his hands full trying to juggle it all. Amanda and Houston are both guarding their heart from the hurt they believe is inevitable. Little do they know their trouble isn't in each other, it's in those lurking in the shadows. No one wants to see Houston and Amanda together and will do anything to keep them apart. Will these couples finally get their happily ever after together or will Leah, Kennedy and a few friends stand in their way?
Part 3 It's been said that when you love something it'll always return to you, but what happens when you aren't so sure you want it to return? What happens when you realize that love may no be enough? With Harlem gone in the wind, Ashleigh isn't sure that the love they share is enough to get them past the secrets and lies they both told. With so many questions running through her head Ashleigh doesn't know where to turn or who to turn to. With the backbone of the crew, Harlem missing without a trace, it seems like the gang is slowly falling apart. Houston was never the thinker, always one to act on impulse it doesn't take long for him to realize that he is out of his element. Adding insult to injury, the one person that should be in his corner is so stuck on her past that she has no time for her future. Though she should be on his side, Amanda can't focus on Houston because her mind is on the what ifs. Finally at a good place, her past storms in and ruins the plans she had for the future. Instead of letting go and enjoying life, Amanda makes a decision that sends her in a downward spiral that not even Houston can save her from. Will Amanda move towards the future or let her past swallow her whole? In this explosive finale, bonds will be broken and relationships will be tested. Will the crew come out on top or will Kennedy prove to be a bigger boss than her father?
Missing words & so many typos. There is no way a book should be published like this. The overall plot was good, but the confusion of every few sentences missing complete words gave me a headache.
I really enjoyed this book it was crazy and funny but when I say Ashleigh worked my nerves man but her, Amanda, Mali'ka, and Koi I loved each girl and the crazy they brought to the story.
Whew!!!!!! This was a lot but it was very good. I never thought when Amanda and Ashleigh met Houston and Harlem that all that drama was going to come into play. One trip for these ladies turned into something neither of them thought it was. Amanda was stealing dealing with the loss of Mannie but was also trying to get Ashleigh away from her alcoholic, nonworking, abusive boyfriend Dre. Sadly it shouldn't took Ashleigh to meet Harlem in order for her to stop dealing with Dre disrespectful ass. Dre was a leech and took advantage of Ashleigh love for him but once she was completely fed up. He try to make a change which in all honestly should've been too late but somehow Ashleigh wanted to see the good in him. I didn't like that after Ashleigh met Harlem and went back home. She ended up keeping a life changing secret from him. Harlem also had his hands full. I knew Kennedy was going to be a piece of work but her crazy ass went above and beyond trying to keep Harlem. Amanda was expecting to fall for Houston. She was still trying to get over the loss of Mannie but the heart want what the heart wants. Houston wasn't ready for Amanda and she wasn't the woman for him. Houston was still somewhat childish plus he had Leah still lurking. Harlem and Houston mother Bella was a mess. She really had me laughing. Jury and Judge was crazy and their women Mali'ka and Feeva matched their crazy. The lies, murder, drama, cheating, etc. Was a recipe for disaster when those lurking don't want to see anyone happy .
I give this book a 3 because I know how hard it is to come up with a story. And with that being said I understand that not every book will be everybody's cup of tea. I minuses the 2 stars because of 1, the grammatical errors and character mix ups. It kinda did take away from the story just a tad bit because, it sometimes became confusing with the mix ups.. And 2, because of my personal preferences of not liking dumb a as broads and for stuff to just dragged. And the fact that the main heroine got on my everlasting nerves with stupidity, to the fact that I just had to skip chapters, and scenes just to forward to the end to see how what I assume was going to happen.... Happen. With that being said I usually don't give no less than 3 stars because like I said Not everybody has the creativity to bring forth a story to life like that. So again, not for me personally..
Wow how do you sum three books up in one review? I loved the end how everybody found their happiness. Don’t get me wrong, I love Huston but he turned out not to be a real as he claimed to be. Bella and Huston know they were some ignorant fools. I hate the things that happened to Amanda but I’m happy she came out on top with who she ended with. Kennedy got exactly what she deserved and so did Dre. I’m happy for Harlem and Ashleigh. Great ending to a great series.
The storyline was decent and the drama was filling which is the only reason I finished this book. In its entirety , it felt underdeveloped ,both the storyline and the characters. Plots went unfinished and there were some areas that were confusing . Some areas in the story felt entirely too rushed. However, I did see where the author was trying to and I appreciated the creativity out behind the story. Not necessarily a bad read but I doubt it's something id pick up again. The creativity is there but it lacks depth .
This series was everything and I really loved it. You did that though. I was so happy that you everything happened the way that it was supposed to happen no lie. My girl Ashleigh got her man back and married him. I really thought that Amanda was going to marry Houston but I guess she was meant for Loc and I’m glad that they worked out though no lie. Feeva and Mali’ka were crazy but I loved them along with Bella lol. Koi was for her brothers though and I loved that about her as well.
Hands down one of the best series I've read. Harlem and Houston was some crazy twins. Houston just can't keep it to himself. He lost both of the women who was in his corner. Mannie was wrong for all the things he put her through. He deserved everything he got. Kennedy was bat crazy and the worst woman you can ask for. She caused all that trouble to end up with nothing. I love Loc. Even though she was his ex-bestfriend girl, he held her down. I am so glad that she got with him and not Houston. I can wait to read about my crazy girls in their book.
What a wild ride this one was. FYI this book contained the whole series into one which I thoroughly enjoyed since the books as individuals weren't actually that long.
Honey by the middle of book two, I didn't know who I wanted to root for.
Shoutout to these mamas specifically Bella and Dre's mom because at the end of the day they were honest and real about their sons not being worth shit but let them woman know that it was their decision
Man my girl is always on point with the writing skills man I been on a roller coaster ride from the beginning of this book til the very end I loved every single twist and turn and I’m so glad Amanda and ash finally got what they wanted and as for Dre mannie and Kennedy they definitely got what they desired I give this book. 10 plus easily 💙🔥
This is one of my favorite series I so love Harlem and Houston but I always wonder what happened to Kwame girlfriend and his sister Toya they was never meant again and I always thought Loc and Amanda need a spinoff but overall I loved it
So I downloaded this book Saturday and could not stop turning pages. I read the series when it first came out and loved it but the revamp was that much better. I can’t wait for the spin offs.
I loved this series when it first came out and I love it now. All of the characters had things about them that you couldn’t help but love. I liked the added chapters. Good job revamping this series.
Absolutely awesome story!! I was hoping Houston got his act together, but... I love Amanda got her stuff together at the end. Ashleigh and Harlem and those adorable children.
This is still one of my favorite series to read. Still love the that Ashley bossed up at the end to protect her kids . Made you cry , laugh and just really enjoy everything these couples went though. Amanda is a true friend from the beginning to the end. Glade she found Loc.
I've been following this author on social media and had never read her work. This was my first series by her, but not my last. This was such a good story with so many twists. I'm about to go download more of her work. This was a great reD, definitely recommend.
I loved this series. I like the way Trenae showed how the characters developed with each book. I could relate with Ashleigh a lot and Amanda as well. This is definitely one of my favorites and I have read the series 3 times...lol
Here I thought I read this. Only to realize I hadn’t what was I doing? How could I had missed this one? This was so good. I don’t feel bad for Houston at all. He brought everything on hisself.
Man what a ride. Mannie was scum I see. Loc has become bae. The way he took care of Amanda was amazing. Ash became a savage herself and I was happy for her. On to the next read.
Oh my God!!!! This series had me laughing and crying. The twins was a mess. Ashleigh and Amanda were amazing. I wanted ti hurt Kennedy. Great story!!! I will be reading more from this author
Loved the character growth seen in Harlem, Ashleigh and Bella....Bella is bae...great read from a great author!!! Anything Trenae writes is a winner!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This was alot but in a good way. These three books were everything and what i love was not one moment predictable. It was a surprise from beginning to end.
