Not for me
The plot sounded really good, and I had a lot of hope for it. It was a love at first sight type of thing. But, it still felt rushed. They had maybe one interaction before they were decidedly "the one" for each other. And the major life changes Jake exhibited would take longer than 4 days to accomplish.
There were also a few scenes where I was confused because things were assumed to have happened, but we didn't see it on the pages. For instance, when Stacy is first asked about Jake by her roommate, the roommate is already assuming she's dating Jake. But, they had seen each other one time and she only agreed to take Ryan to his soccer practices. Yet, they're dating??? How does that constitute dating, in any context?
Or, the time at girls night out. The roommates were one, being terrible hypocrites. And two, assuming all kinds of things that didn't even happen. Its possible it did happen, and Stacy shares that with them, but it wasn't communicated in the story. It felt like I was missing something.
The timeline is unclear. My best guess was they met and married in a month. That seems wholly unrealistic. Not to mention, what about Stacy's job? It was a huge factor in the first parts of the book, yet it just isn't mentioned again? I'm sure the principal would have something to say if one of his teachers marries her student's parent. That's not going to go unnoticed. I can only assume the reason it isn't mentioned is the inconvenience of wrapping up that storyline.
I feel like this was only part of the book, and so much was left out. Parts that developed the plot and resolved the conflicts. I also don't like stories with the characters shaking up and making babies without being married, which was the case with her roommates. So, overall, this book/series isn't for me.
