When the Vows Break, tears will surely fall, but will the marriages and friendships survive the damage of it all?
All hell broke loose, and it has unleashed damage and chaos, in the lives of these six friends.
For Shelby, Ray, Kerri, Chloe, Lyn, and Cam; the storm clouds are rolling in and there doesn't seem to be an end. For some of them, they'll find their way back to God but others, inner turmoil will push them further away.
More secrets, more lying, more cheating, and more temptations still prove that not everything is what it seems.
Will they be able to get through the pain and make their way to forgiveness or will it be more than they can take? Find out in part 2 of When the Vows Break.

I love how the author put this book together showing how life can mess up things with God. The ladies in this book each have their own issues one or 2 May not make it with turning their life's back over to God. It is yet to be told until we read book 3. I love the suspense and how things are coming out. Our author Lakisha Johnson is so awesome with writing you can't go wrong with any of her books. Loved it 💕
This book picked off right where the last book stopped off at. I loved hw no matter what these ladies went through they stuck together. This book is liked real life experience and he frees deal with in life. Their was so many twist and turns in this book. In certain parts of this book I was in my feelings boy ole boy this book was powerful to me. Great book. Now on to the next book...,
Pastor, I see why you on the best seller’s list! You minister through your work to ppl hearts and souls!!! The is something for everyone to get out and at the end of every issue it always lead us back to pray and supplication! It leads us back to when we leave God, He never leaves us!!!! I’m everything, but God! No matter what God has the finale say in all of our lives, we just need to put pride to the side and trust in Him!! Thank you for this work and I will be waiting on 3!!
Part 2 was just as amazing as part 1. These ladies have me on edge trying to figure out what’s next. Lord, I’m sitting here praying for Cam like she’s a real character. The novel seems so real and it’s relatable.
When the Vows Break 2 is a great continuance of When the Vows Break. It keeps you intrigued. Makes you cry as you relate to struggles and makes you think about your relationships with your guy and God
I literally love how the struggles were real life like and they all had individual battles. The strength of the relationships were genuine yet each had a different battle... great reality of what can happen when you remove God from the equation

My Opinion:
Hopefully, if you are reading book 2, you read book 1 to understand what has gone on with these six friends. Be prepared to get another intended dramatic read as the story continues with these ladies' lives seem to be feeling about through every chapter. I did enjoy the prayers and sermons [Bible references] that were given; hopefully, it will help those that will be willing to take it all in. It does seem like one of the ladies doesn't want any help, or it seems like she doesn't realize she needs help, and until that happens...oh well! This will show how the struggles were for each of these six individuals' battles with their lives. Will they make it? Again, we will have to pick up the next part 3 to hopefully get the ending to bring it out about each of these individuals.
Ok... There are a lot of plots and story lines to keep straight but my goodness I'd be lying if I said they weren't good. Ray has every right to be mad at Justin but I agree it's time to hash things out once and for all. Lyn was struggling before the rape and murder so Paul and her daughter's betrayal are enough to send anyone over the edge. I admire Shelby for her strength in God but think her jealousy over Kerri and Brian keeping the information from her initially is ill timed. The man is dealing with a life or death illness but she's waddling in her emotions. Chloe needs to listen to the people that have more experience than she when it comes to her pregnancy but, as it goes, everyone doesn't accept advice no matter how good it is. I have two words for Cam: HOT MESS!!!! Round #3 it is!
I now am able to keep the six sister's story lines straight. You are an amazing story teller, you had me praying, cheering, hoping, crying and other emotions. At 38% read, I went to church had my sermon that moved me to tears and after had prayer meeting and bible study, on a Monday. The Spirit moved in my den on my sofa. I do not know what to call your preaching and teaching but, it is God.
This book is written mostly with dialogue, so it’s a fairly quick read. There is a lot of repetition from the previous book, so I found myself skipping quite a bit. As with the previous book, I feel the plot needed much more development. Everything in the plot seems rushed and not fully thought out or planned. The errors with punctuation was just as annoying in this book as they were in the first.
There’s not much pacing so the story moved fast because it’s mostly dialogue. The first half was saturated with scriptures and then it picked up the last half but ended abruptly. I’m sure that was to segue to the next book in the series. I’m still finding it hard to keep up with all of the characters but I’m making connections. On to the next book in the series.
This book is a eye opener for anyone that has doubted God, even thought we get busy with life God should always be first. If you are having a rough time in life, read this book. If you feel like God had forgotten you, read this book. Lakisha you have out done yourself. Now on to part 3.
Real life, real message. Not exactly what one may have in mind when they think of typical Christian fiction. However, it is a true depiction of real life happenings amongst people who claim to know God but get caught up in living their lives in their own strength. If you are looking for a good read and can ignore a few typos this story will keep you interested and make you think.
Dear Lakisha you gave this story your all and I enjoyed it so very much. It was as if I was living this story myself. I was right in there with each page I turned. It was incredible keep up the awesome work. I can hardly wait to get to part 3. Take it easy and keep writing these incredible stories and I will for sure keep reading your work. Peace my sista.
I am so wrapped up in this series 😍 it grabs a hold of you and uou don't want it to end. You feel like you're going to miss something if you put it down.. i am ready to buy part 3 and i will be purchasing Camille story as well. The author is amazing 👏 😍
Me Being A Believer, I Learned So Much Reading This Book. Each Couple Was/Is Going Through Something That Bought Then Back To GOD, Finally Understanding That Nothing We Do Is Our Own, But Lyn & Cam Hasn't Hit Rock Bottom (9-11) Yet To Put Their Faith In Christ Jesus!!!!
Cant wait to read what happens with the six pack in 3!!! This has been by far the best of your collections! I have enjoyed every minute! May God continue to bless your ministry in writing!!
This book is not only entertaining but it’s also causing me to reflect on a lot of situations in my own life. I can’t wait to read the finale and other books by this author
Wow this is so good 😊 and touching on so many topics that I have faced myself in this life. But with that being said. Want God show us what’s going on and we choose to ignore it. Then here comes the storm ⛈.. Loving 🥰 this
Book 2 was a little better than the first book of the series. It was very fast paced. Each woman had something that earth shattering take place in their lives. It was to good see most of them turn back to God for comfort and strength. On to book 3...
Good book. But there were parts that were not cohesive or accurate. Like it would say it was Lynn's chapter, but another character was narrating. In A couple spots the timeline was sketchy. And the grammar and typos could be resolved.
This is the first series I've read with this author and let me just say it won't be the last book I read by her. I love her writing style and there is something for everyone. I've found another favorite.
When the Vows Break 2 was a great continuation of book 1. This is a story of friends and how marriages go through changes although everything looks great on the outside. Friends stick it out and support one another through the good times and bad.
