Oh, I’m so excited about this new series by Alexa Verde and Autumn Macarthur. Two fantastic authors who know how to spin a tale!
And “boy hoody,” does this book series has it all!
From swoon-worthy hunkiness to action-pack suspense!
I was captured from the first page!
In the first book, I think I relate more to Ashley the nanny than I do to Brett the billionaire. I’ve never imagined living a life of wealth and having anything at my fingertips. That might be fun to experience. However, I don’t think I’d like the danger which brought these two together.
I did enjoy the banter between the little twins who Ashley is the nanny for. They really seem cute and full of life.
This story was packed with “who done it” moments and questions. I was totally shocked as the story unfolded.
The second book in the series of three young men who would risk their lives to protect those they love, is a story full of suspense, action, and drama, with a bit of romance thrown in.
Colt Jarvis is a man who has it all and the brains to go with it, but one thing he’s lacking is trust in the woman who he gave his heart to. Mirabella Jarvis is a woman with many secrets and a difficult past, which she couldn’t remember because of amnesia. However, now her memories are back and everything she feared is happening again.
This story has some very intense times of, “who really is the bad guy.” I love books which will keep you wondering if you’re right about who you’ve decided the bad guy is. Then when you find out you must pick your mouth up from the floor!
Now, let’s not forget the cuteness of Kitty and Corbin, the twins. Their banter and sneaky ways are so endearing.
Like all the other books in this series, this last book is so full of intense moments. There’ll be times you’ll need to remind yourself to breathe! There are also lots of head-spinning moments of danger for the characters in this story. I think it would be fun to have these people as friends because of all their cool tools and devices which are right at their fingertips.
I also won’t mind having a hunky cowboy protecting me!
David gave his heart away long ago, to only have it deeply ripped apart. Now he just wants to be seen, as a normal guy, and really isn’t looking for a woman in his life. However, his wealth makes that difficult.
Aster has a reputation that is splashed all over the news, but that’s not who she is.
Can these two come together, with all their issues, and help solve the mystery of a sweet abandoned baby boy without getting killed in the process. Can they find out who really is behind all of this?
I guess to find the answers to these questions you’ll have to read this book. It will keep you reading until you finish.
If you’re like me, you won’t want to put it down to do things like, fix meals for the family (Why do they need to eat?”), go to work (“What’s that?”), or sleep (“Who needs sleep anyway?”)
The authors are wonderful writers and know how to keep you guessing and on the seat of your chair. They also have a skill in teaching us life lessons through their characters. The lessons I learned in this book collection were about trust. The trust we need to have in God and the trust we need to have in each other. So often we let our past destroy our thinking and our communication with those we love. When we open up and share our hurts and concerns, many times it brings about healing.
Another lesson was, we all make mistakes, yet God still loves us. His grace and forgiveness are free for us to receive.
I’ll say this again, I highly recommend reading this book collection if you like a bit of suspense, cuteness, and a whole lot of heat! You can’t go wrong with this set.

Alexa Verde and Autumn Macarthur always deliver! This set is a great value. Great reads at a bargain price.
David, a very well-written clean romance with lots of suspense, had me from the first page. Although David and Aster got off to a really bad start, they need each other. David needs Aster to take care of a foundling, and she needs him to salvage her reputation for her job. Neither likable character is perfect, but both grow throughout the book and their feelings develop for each other beyond just the initial physical attraction. I enjoyed reading how they opened up to each other and about Aster's journey back to faith. I don't want to give spoilers, so I'll just tell you that this exciting romance will pull you in and not let go. The plot has twists and turns and will keep you wondering what's going to happen. I highly recommend this compelling book! I received a complimentary copy of this story.

Alexa Verde and Autumn MacArthur put them all together to give their readers an excellent and entertaining story. There are issues of trust and forgiveness. Through the well-developed characters, the reader sees good and bad ways to deal with those issues. There is a great HEA. I highly recommend this book and definitely plan to read more in this series and more by these authors. I have a copy through KU.
What do you get when two excellent authors collaborate on a story? An absolutely fantastic read: Brett, Billionaire Bodyguard, a well-written romance with suspense. I loved the main characters, Ashley and Brett, and Brett's niece and nephew. The children add so much to the story. I enjoyed reading about Brett's change of heart concerning commitment and his faith in God. I loved that though Ashley was terrified at times that she chose to do the right thing, the brave thing. The plot had lots of twist and turns, and no way did I have the bad guy figured out; but there were clues. There is a incredibly sweet and fun proposal for the HEA that we all want and love. I highly recommend this romance to readers of clean/wholesome romance and to Christian romance readers. I got my copy through KU.

Brett - Definitely a romantic suspense that keeps you guessing. Brett and Ashley are both resisting their attraction to each other. The beginning scenes are so intense and I think really bring them together. Loved meeting David and the other characters in future books.
Colt - A really good mystery full of suspense as well as romance. Colt and Mirabella are finally working together to solve the murders. A really good twist. Loved their children.
David - A faith filled romantic suspense that keeps you guessing. Will an abandoned baby bring Aster and David together? Or will his past and her present keep them apart? Sparks were flying, secrets are shared and revealed and more than one romance is brewing. Enjoyed seeing characters from books 1 and 2. Hoping we find out more about Christian.

All 3 books in this series were excellent. I liked the chemistry in the first book the most.
The first book started out with a bang and there was a lot of action and romance in the book. There were precocious twins in this book and a nanny. These children were so endearing.
The second book held a lot of "James Bond" type gadgets and suspense. The two main characters did get a second chance romance.
The third book was about a cowboy and a reporter. They were kind of like oil and water - they did not originally mix.
If you like suspense and clean romance, you will like these books. So glad the authors included Scripture.

Ok, I’ll be honest, I’ve read all these books before and the reviews below are from the first time I read them with a few updated notes. I enjoyed them enough that I re-read them and enjoyed just as much the second time.
Brett
I’ll admit the cover got my attention. (Look at the cover on the original book and see if you don’t agree) This story is filled with romance, mysteries, danger, interesting characters and a great plot. I had to keep reading until the mystery was solved. I totally enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one.
Colt
Colt and Mirabella have a history, unfortunately it isn’t good. Although once married they never really opened up to each other. Alexa Verde and Autumn MacArthur are a formidable duo. Their characters are strong, independent and well-developed. The story line is action packed. This has been a great series and this book is no exception. Now you won’t have to wait impatiently for David’s story.

This book is action packed! Being rich and famous looks real good from the outside but while money can help solve a lot of problems, it causes a lot also. This story has lot of twists and turns but Aster and David make a good team. I loved being able to catch up with Brett, Ashley, Colt and Mirabella. This is a good story but I will warn you there is a cliff hanger regarding a secondary character that will be a while getting solved. This has been a really good series.

Great stories with the intense and vivid action! These books are spiritually enhancing; the stories unfold laying the characters’ souls bare. Very emotional stories filled with pain and self-doubt, angst and resiliency, forgiveness and love. I was totally captivated page after page.

Brett, Her Bodyguard
I loved this billionaire protector romantic suspense. It was Christian and has some adorable kids and a lot of action. I loved how the two mains for the next books were such prominent characters.
Colt, Her Reunion
As Brett’s story ended, I was hoping that this would be the storyline for Colt’s. While this story does stand alone, I highly suggest reading Brett as there are a lot of tie ins. We get a brief mention of things here, but just go read Brett first.
I super enjoyed this second chance romance with danger and murder and reconciliation.
David, Her Cowboy
Definitely read Brett and Colt before this book. David is a huge character in Brett, and he’s mentioned in Colt, and we meet Aster and learn more of other characters in Colt. Of course you could read this book as stand alone, but it’s so much more fulfilling and complete reading it after the first two books.
So much brokenness. This book really took my emotions through the wringer. Two unlikely mains put together in an even more unlikely situation. Wonderful! Quite a bit longer than the previous books, but that’s a plus in my world! ;) I wouldn’t change a thing! I loved the suspense and the slow burn. The adorable baby and the heart racing danger.

Brett - Wow, this story definitely had a lot of suspense mixed with romance. It kept me guessing the whole time. Ashley is so sweet and good and Brett has had a hard life and has held onto a lot of it. Can he learn to hand it over to God and find happiness while at the same time find his brother? This was a great story and I'm excited to read the rest of the series when they come out.
Colt - It took me a little while to get into this story. Tje connection between Colt and Mirabella is so strong I just wanted them to kiss already and realize they still loved each other. Still, the book was full of mystery and suspense and lots of sizzling chemistry. It's good they held out as it made their story sonmuch sweeter, even if it was frustrating at times. A beautiful second chance story.

Exciting, faithful suspense
This set of 3 books was exciting and deeply faithful. I loved seeing how characters grew closer to God and each other as they overcame life threatening challenges.
I loved how the friendship between 3 “practically family” men was the basis for three unexpectedly different romantic stories. The families wove together well.
While the plot line may not be realistic, it is fun and adventurous! Besides, who expects realism when you are reading about 3 billionaire best friends?
This set of 3 books was exciting and deeply faithful. I loved seeing how characters grew closer to God and each other as they overcame life threatening challenges.

I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. These three books have plots that are full of suspense with unexpected twists and turns. The characters from the three books are intertwined throughout and more or less continue the story. I enjoyed all three books and both the romance and the element of faith included. I would highly recommend reading this trio of books.

I like the suspense in these stories. I like that the main focus is on how God needs to be put first to make good things happen. I like that when we feel guilty we can remember Christ died to save us from guilt. I like that children are important in all three stories. I like the humor the children bring to the stories. I like that all circumstances work for good when we trust God to work them out.

God Written
I thoroughly enjoyed this series. The love of God was showcased in each story. Along with the power of forgiveness. If there were only two things God wanted His children to understand, it would be the power and truth of His love for us. And the power of forgiveness. Both of threes principles were front and center in this series. To God be all glory. I can't wait to read more from these authors.

Great mystery stories!
I truly could not out these books down once I started them. If course there are times I had to buy it wasn't easy. I love difference in the characters and the way each person bright something different to each situation they had to face. I have read these authors before and now I will doing it more often. Thanks for the wonderful journey.

Could have been better
The first book was okay, slow in parts. The second book moved slow, too much of what Colt & Mirabella were thinking (same thing over & over). Ho hum, I came close to quit reading it. The third book was better, but was disappointed there was no follow up closure with Aster's brother, Christian.
The first book was okay, slow in parts. The second book moved slow, too much of what Colt & Mirabella were thinking (same thing over & over). Ho hum, I came close to quit reading it. The third book was better, but was disappointed there was no follow up closure with Aster's brother, Christian.

Well crafted stories that also address contemporary issues, believable characters (even the wealthy ones), twist and turn plot, with believable resolutions. Putting God first helped them navigate situations where others wanted them harmed and to heal. Suspense kept me on the edge of my seat and love was in the air.

Such an amazing set of stories! It was great how the characters overlapped in each one and the characters were captivating and believable. The storyline in each book was so full of suspense, adventure, faith and inspiration. I was so wrapped up in reading the set that I didn’t want them to end, so exciting!

Second Chance Protectors Review
It was a pleasure to read these good clean stories.and not have to be exposed to profanity or vulgarity. The stories were interesting and the story lines were entertaining. I liked not being able to figure out the endings because of the good plot twists. I hope these two authors will collaborate on more books.

love Conquers All.
I just finished reading a box set called…. Second Chance Protectors:Love, faith and danger. Those were three of the best books I’ve read. They drawled you into each book, you couldn’t put them down. Both of these Authors, Autumn MacArthur,and Alexa Verde was awesome, pure awesomeness in their writing. I highly recommend this box set, it was amazing.

Great Suspenseful Christian Romantic Read
I loved all three books. I read them all in 2 days! They're are a few typos throughout, Burnie read them again! My question is this... What happened to the brother from the 3rd story? They were going to investigate but no mention in epilogue. Alexa and Autumn can you write a follow up and let us know?

A good read
Thank you for the books. I love them all, and the different personalities in the stories. It's such pleasure reading clean Christian books, with prayers and Words of God seeded in the story.

Clean and sweet romantic suspense.
I enjoyed reading this set of suspense stories that include humor,and romance in difficult situations. I look forward to reading more by these authors and have enjoyed reading stories by them previously.

This was such an amazing book. I did not want this book to end. This whole series was amazing. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Alexa Verde & Autumn Macarthur did an amazing job with this series.

I really enjoyed these. Maybe a bit too much of the electricity when they see or touch or whatever, but very clean romance. I enjoy the suspense part more, but that’s just me. I liked the interwoven characters. Would definitely read more of their stories.
