3 LUKEWARM STARS
Book one focuses on warlock Dylan and 'half-breed' witch/succubi Allie.
Some amusing moments but not the tantalising morsel I was hoping for, I just didn't find myself fully engaging with this one.

A fab new series from Cassandra Lawson that had me spellbound!
Witches, Warlocks, Succubus, Demons, Vampires and Shifters this book has it all the full preternatural world.
I have to admit I find the idea of Warlocks very sexy, Dylan Hunt is a strong Warlock that plays the field rather than trying to meet his other witch half, his mother does his best to match him up but his having none of it.
Dylan has a trusted friend Trevor, his a bit of a man whore too, he throws parties and gets lots of women. He is also a partner in their law firm.
Allie is Succubi, she feeds on sex if she doesn't she gets tired, she is rather different though she doesn't like to have sex all the time, so she works at a sex club to feed off other people's sexual energy. Her attitude to sex changes when she meets Dylan Hunt.
Some people are meant to be and these two are explosive together, they really fire off each other in and out of the bedroom. When Allie is put in danger Dylan steps in to protect her and that gives them the perfect chance to get to know each other more. Allie is independent and fights Dylan as she is scared of getting her heart hurt, they're really fun to read about and watch grow closer.
The dialogue in this book is so funny, you have to remember Allie is a Succubus so when her mother calls her to talk, it's things like 'are you getting enough sex', 'me and your grandmother have shared many a man at an orgy' (not exact words - just a taste) - really laugh out loud moments.
Along with our main two characthers the rest of the cast are full of interesting back stories that wet your appetite for future books in series, I loved Mel and how bolshie she is, and one of Allies 'pets' sounds interesting.
Great characther development and a good story that flows easily will keep you 'spelled' to this book.
A fun and sexy read with enough mystery to make a perfect PNR read.

4.5 Witchy stars
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. This was my first book by Cassandra Lawson and she didn't let me down. This book had the perfect mix of humor, romance, good storyline and of course the knock your pants off sexy lovin! Not really surprising considering Allie our heroine is a succubus.
I fell in love with both main characters, Allie is a hoot, she speaks her mind and collects guy friends like I collect cats. (which is alot btw). Our hero is a powerful warlock who has an affinity for fire, um yep fire. talk about smoking hot! Dylan (our hero) is your typical wanted bachelor but he's not ready to settle down...Yada Yada Yada, you know that storyline? yep typical, BUT it's all in the execution! and from start to finish his foot in mouth syndrome is so endearing made me Lol throughout. He's got charm aplenty, just not with Allie. ☺ You'll love it.
Allie also has her moments, for instance she's in denial about her feelings for Dylan. Usually that Irks me so hard I wanna throat punch the heroine. but in allies case it was super adorable! she's at a lost as to how her one night stand got so out of control.
Add in awesome supporting characters, a crazy mom who worries about her daughters lack of sex, and another who is a part time match maker for her son, and crazy killers on the loose and you have a non stop read.
only complaint, I wanted more suspense, nothing was really explained about the killer. It was kind of just smushed together at the end. I wanted more scenes to show how powerful Dylan really was because come on he controls fire how frackin hot is that??!! exploit that! All in all still a great read just not a fiver got me.

Even when the heroine is a sex demon, she’s still prudish and more inexperienced! She’s supposed to be a sex demon!!! Don’t make her one if your going to make her the cliche innocent type.

Loved this book. Allie is a succumbus/witch while Dylan is a warlock. Allie believes Dylan is only interested in her because of the succumbus. They both go through hell, especially Dylan to make her believe this isnt the case. The chemistry is through the roof and it takes a lot of crap for them to finally admit their feelings.
Great storyline and action packed with drama.

When I read the blurb I must admit that I wasn’t sure if this book would be something that I would enjoy. Never judge a book by its blurb. I really enjoyed this book. I am sorry that I had any doubt. This book was funny, sexy, and had a very romantic group of supernatural beings. It also had a murder mystery that kept me guessing throughout the book.
The plot was surprisingly good. I have not read any of this author’s books in the past. I may have to rectify that. Allie is part witch part succubus, but leans more towards her succubus side. She works at a demon sex club so she can draw on the sexual energy there. Unfortunately, someone is murdering succubii, and Allie is the next target.
The chemistry between Allie and Dylan is magical. Dylan has been avoiding commitment, he has no desire to settle down and give his mother the grandchildren she desperately wants. Allie has no desire to be involved with a warlock. The warlock’s that she knows including her father and uncle all have cheated on their wives. What is the point of committing to a man? She is doing just fine at the club that she works at, she doesn’t need a man in her life, but Dylan does something to her. He makes her feel safe and loved.
The pacing is fast. I don’t think I was able to put this book down.
The ending was great. Sorry not going to give anything away.
Character development was realistic considering we are dealing with supernatural beings.

Then she meets a warlock called Dylan who avoids commitment like the plague but feels she cannot resist him so plans for a one night stand with him to get him out of her system - except that Dylan bizarrely doesn't agree with that view. Can he change her negative view of warlocks while keeping her safe from a serial killer of succubi?
I loved this story - it had romance, danger, magic and fear of commitment all mixed into the same story. Everything was clearly told and easy to understand and I found myself being drawn into the story more and more as it progressed.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:
I have read just about all of Cassandra Lawson's books. And even though I have enjoyed them, this new series for me, will top them ALL. Sinfully Spellbound was seriously seductive and had a delicious, sexy smokiness to it that is so good. I loved Dylan and Allie! The magic, the danger, the smoldering sex was SO. DANG. HOT. I could hardly put the book down. I am So dang intrigued with this new series. It is exactly the kind of paranormal romance that I enjoy. It has the right amount of eroticism and the perfect blend of sassy attitudes and protective cave man tendencies from Dylan that had me melting and had me biting my lip.
Now this world that Miss Lawson introduces us with Sinfully Spellbound is beyond incredible. I love that there are warlocks, witches, and a variety of demons. I use to think that succubus were just always thinking about sex and very little else, so I never really got into a lot of paranormal romances featuring them. But with this book, I am entranced and intrigued with them and loved that even though sex is how they survive, the majority of them want a real commitment. I thought it was wicked cool that Allie was also part witch. She was such a great character with a really strong independent streak and had some incredible powers of her own. Dylan had an arrogance to him that at first, I wasn't sure I was going to like. But when he gets involved with Allie, he turns protective, caring, and had just the right amount of cockiness and arrogance that was a complete turn-on.
Sinfully Spellbound is wonderfully written with awesome characters, witty banter, seriously H-O-T sex, and nail-biting suspense and danger that made this story one hell of a great read! I am going to be BEGGING for the next one and hope that Miss Lawson doesn't make us wait for it for long, because I want to know what else she has in store for us in the next book. This book gets a SMOKY AND THRILLING FIVE SHOOTING STARS! If I could give this book a 9.5 Stars, it would be getting it. LOVED IT SO HARD!

Warlocks, Succubi, and Vampires, oh my!! I'm a sucker for a great romantic suspense, but add in the paranormal aspect and I'm a goner.
This story was positively spellbinding (see what I did there *wink wink*). Cassandra Lawson's understanding of the world and characters she created translated effortlessly to the pages. I was completely wrapped up in the characters and the mystery she presented us.
Unique characters, intriguing storyline, and fluid prose had me devouring every word. Layers of personality and background were revealed organically. It made the characters feel more realistic and made it easier to connect with them. The romance between Dylan and Allie was passionate and seriously sexy, bringing yet another dimension to the story. I also loved how Lawson built tension and suspense throughout the story, especially with the Hunter's pov. All of these aspects were blended perfectly allowing the reader to get lost in the story.
I'm beyond excited that this is the start of a series and I can't wait to read more! I thoroughly enjoyed getting caught up in this story and in this world.

I've read and enjoyed other books by this author so when I heard she was releasing a new series I was eager to read it. I enjoyed this book a lot.
Dylan is a commitment-phobe warlock who is getting annoyed with his mother pushing him to find a nice witch and settle down. Allie is a succubus who also wants to avoid a relationship. When they meet through a mutual friend the sparks fly and they decide to have a no strings night of fun. I don't think either expected it to go any further but things don't always turn out the way you expect.
I liked Dylan and Allie. They are both good characters and their attraction is instant and hot. The side characters were good too and I'm pretty sure we'll here more from them in future books.
The writing is great. The plot zips along nicely with lots of hotness, romance, some humour and plenty of suspense thrown in. The world building was great and I see lots of scope for more books in the series.
This was a really good read which I enjoyed. If you like PNR, you'll enjoy this I think.
A good start to a new series. I will definitely look forward to reading the next book.

I love Cassandra Lawson as an author, the Psy-Vamp and Moon Virus series have a firm place on my Kindle as favourites. So when I heard about a new series, I jumped at the chance to read and review. I am so glad that I did as Cassandra Lawson has another winner on her hands, as far as I am concerned.
This book has everything - mystery, suspense, murder, rituals, sex, humour, romance, I mean, it simply has it all. The repartee between Allie and Dylan is fantastic, even when Allie admits to being argumentative just for the sake of it. With amazing supporting characters (I really liked Dylan's mum!), both good and bad, this was a fast-paced read guaranteed to delight.
With no editing or grammatical errors that I found, I would highly recommend this book.

The repartee between Allie and Dylan is fantastic, even when Allie admits to being argumentative just for the sake of it. With amazing supporting characters (I really liked Dylan's mum!), both good and bad, this was a fast-paced read guaranteed to delight.
With no editing or grammatical errors that I found, I would highly recommend this book.

A huge 5 star beginning to what I know will be another amazing series by this author. Can be read as a standalone BUT I feel confident book 2 will be added to TBR lists.
Love this storyline. So unique and spunky. Just packed full of entertainment and creativity.
Gained myself some new favorite characters. How to describe?? Fun- energetic-attachable-realistic - well written etc.
The dialogue between both primary and secondary roles was great. It did exactly what any good conversation should do when reading. I was completely engrossed.
I have never laughed so hard. Then the need for a fan was very real with such HOTT scenes. I may have shaking my head a time or two. A gasp may have escaped with a oh no you didn't. Let's just say emotion filled.
Great attention to grammatical areas and editing.
Excellent addition to any readers library. Something for everyone in this journey.

Cassandra's new series is jaw dropping hot. Full of supernaturals including one of the main characters portrayed as a succubus, so how can it not be hot, right? I really love the characters in this book. They will draw you into their story and not let you leave until you finish the book.
Allie and Dylan have some serious chemistry from the moment they meet. They may fight it, one harder than the other, but eventually they give in. Now the question is - Can they live long enough to find out if they are soul mates? There are a lot of bad guys in this book to keep you guessing until the end who the true villain is.
I applaud Cassandra Lawson for her ability to always grab the attention of the reader no matter which of her books you read. Hilarious, suspenseful and sexy wrapped into a sinfully good book that will keep you spellbound.

This book was amazing! Generally I don't have a lot of time to read, and given my restriction on free time it can take me months to finish one book. Sinfully Spellbound I could not put down. Right from the beginning I was hooked!
The main characters were well developed, the side characters were great to and I want to know more about them. The world building was solid, I need to know more. On top of all that awesomeness I wasn't able to figure out the killer till the end, so major brownie points for that.
Get this now because you won't be disappointed.

This is my first book by this author and I am in love!! This is the first book in a series but can be read as a standalone. Allie is a succubus and she needs to have sex in order to survive. However, she is afraid to get involved with anyone emotionally. She meets Dylan who is a a warlock known for playing the field. What could possibly go wrong? Everything!! When they both realize one night isn't going to cut it and there is a killer on the loose. Dylan will do everything in his power to keep Allie safe and make her his.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author. As I don’t normally read this type of paranormal, the blurb pulled me in.
The book was well written with great interactions between Dylan and Allie, a warlock and succubus. The alternate world created of supernatural beings mixed everyday facets of life with extraordinary events. I loved the interactions between warlocks, witches, and demons.
The characters were well developed and great to get to know. Dialogue flowed well in a fast-paced story.

Ali and Dylan ...what a pair... I enjoyed the story of these two very much.
Ali is a succubus/witch and Dylan in a warlock... both never intending to have anything but a one night stand, until they have one with each other. The back story is one of murder and dark magic. Some one is killing succubi in order to reach their full potential of dark magic. Once Ali is attacked... Dylan does all he can to protect her.

Hot, Hot, Hot!!! I love a feisty, self-assured female lead and Allie is exactly that even after she meets her match in Dylan. This book keeps your attention and is panty melting hot!!!! The story is very well written and even a little mysterious to keep the reader on their toes!!! And steamy sex is abundant!!!! my kinda book!!!

Short review. Sizzling paranormal mystery romance. Dylan and Allie are likable and enjoyable characters to read about so are many of the side characters. There were a few times that the story felt just a little long and the mystery surrounding who the killer could be could have been handle better, it felt a little to easy to figure out who the killer was.

Fabulous start to a new series!

I though this was a great book. The story between Dylan and Allie is dramatic and keeps you on your toes. I didn't see the ending coming and that always makes me happy.

This is my first read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. At first I was worried about it being a succubus book and thought the sex would over power the story. I am so glad I grabbed this book and was able to truly enjoy every aspect of it. I even liked the overly cocky alpha Dylan who in all his crazy really was a nice guy. The sidekicks Trevor and Mil are adorable and are a great addition to the story. I can't wait to read book two and see what this author will come up with next. I mean here she gave us betrayal, jealousy and more paranormal beings than you can sneeze at and did it well.

This was the first book from this author I have read and it was really good. I have to be honest I only got it because it was cheap and sounded interesting but I'm really glad I did because I loved it. Dylan is my type of guy and Allie is sassy and feisty. They had some major chemistry together and the story line e was good as well. I can't wait to read Trevor's story in the next book.

I downloaded Sinfully Spellbound as a free ebook from Amazon. An interesting plot with some fun characters, but the overall plot was pretty transparent (easy to guess the bad guys--too many clues, maybe?). I liked the writing, but wearied of the sex scenes after awhile--they are to be expected in a succubus story, but I found them repetitive after awhile. Good pacing on the story, with interesting sub-plots to keep the story rolling along.
