As the daughter of a high-ranking warlock and a succubus, I’ve felt caught between two worlds my entire life. I’m not saying witches are prudes, but most look down on sex demons. As for the succubi? Let’s just say my mother is constantly worried I’m neglecting those needs. Spoiler alert: I have been. After six months of celibacy, I need a little relief, and Dylan Hunt is the perfect warlock to help me out.
One night with no strings attached. Is that really too much to ask for?
Apparently, it is. Knowing Dylan’s aversion to dating witches, I expect him to run when he learns I’m half-witch. Instead, he’s determined to prove we have more than just great chemistry, and I’m beginning to believe he’s right.
I’ve also caught the interest of another man—a serial killer targeting succubi is determined to make me his next victim. Now, the question is, will I live long enough to find my happy ending with Dylan?

While most mothers are worried about their adult children getting enough to eat, Allie’s succubus mom is worried about her having enough sex—and even Allie has to admit that six months without a man is too long. When she meets Dylan, a warlock with a history of avoiding commitment, he is a temptation she can’t resist. While Allie doesn’t trust warlocks, she knows this is one night only—no attachments and no emotions. Unfortunately, Dylan doesn’t agree with her plan to walk away, and Allie’s not sure how long she can resist the sexy warlock who could easily break her heart.
Determined to avoid his mother’s attempts to get him to settle down with a nice witch, Dylan has kept his romantic involvements limited to casual affairs with humans. That is until a crazy bet leads to a night of unforgettable sex with a succubus, and Dylan knows one night isn’t enough. There is just one problem with his plan to pursue Allie—she doesn’t trust warlocks. With a killer targeting the local succubus community, Dylan has his hands full trying to keep Allie safe and convince her she can trust him with her heart.
While this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone novel.
When I read the blurb I must admit that I wasn’t sure if this book would be something that I would enjoy. Never judge a book by its blurb. I really enjoyed this book. I am sorry that I had any doubt. This book was funny, sexy, and had a very romantic group of supernatural beings. It also had a murder mystery that kept me guessing throughout the book.
The plot was surprisingly good. I have not read any of this author’s books in the past. I may have to rectify that. Allie is part witch part succubus, but leans more towards her succubus side. She works at a demon sex club so she can draw on the sexual energy there. Unfortunately, someone is murdering succubii, and Allie is the next target.
The chemistry between Allie and Dylan is magical. Dylan has been avoiding commitment, he has no desire to settle down and give his mother the grandchildren she desperately wants. Allie has no desire to be involved with a warlock. The warlock’s that she knows including her father and uncle all have cheated on their wives. What is the point of committing to a man? She is doing just fine at the club that she works at, she doesn’t need a man in her life, but Dylan does something to her. He makes her feel safe and loved.
The pacing is fast. I don’t think I was able to put this book down.
The ending was great. Sorry not going to give anything away.
Character development was realistic considering we are dealing with supernatural beings.
