Hunting A Kidnapper In Nepal, High Up The Mountains
An exhilarating ride with King and Slater, as they arrive in Nepal to chase down the 14 year old daughter of a highly effective Black Ops administrator. She had been trekking with her Dad, bodyguards,and guides when taken one night. There is not much information, and everyone is a suspect.
King and Slater just want to get the girl and leave, but they are attacked at every step up the trail, and as they ascend Slater, more than King, feels the horrible effects of the of altitude sickness.
Slater can't breathe and his arm has been sliced, King has a very swollen,painful ankle, can these two actually make it to the girl? They must climb higher, and Slater is done...

King and Slater are sent to Nepal to rescue the daughter of a high ranking US black ops official and his missing laptop, and quickly find them selves struggling against forces that don't want them to succeed.
They need to figure out who is behind the kidnapping, and how to catchup to them as they go higher and altitude sickness catches up with them. Getting to the girl is only part of the battle as they then need to escape and unlock the conspiracy that lead to her kidnapping.
This is a compelling action story that I wanted to know how it ends, but on reflection like the first book in the series it spends way too long telling you about how awesome King and Slater are and it just got old. I think I'm going to stop at this book instead of continuing with the series as it just annoys me too much.

Another Thrilling and totally Engrossing Saga of Two Stone Cold Killers with a Fully Developed Morality Code All Their Own
Take two of the best of the very best trained operatives gifted with DNA that gives them abilities that honed to a fever pitch through the finest levels through training in martial arts of several different persuasions, marksmanship, boxing, and sheer physical endurance and all it entails, mix in a dose of love of country and a strong moral code as unique as it is powerful,oh and lets not forget an ability to recover physically at lightening speed through centering of self in deep meditation.... and you have King and Slater...possibly two of the world's most lethal operatives...working "with the government" again .Words cannot do these books justice... they must be read and experienced. They will leave you reaching for the next in the series as the clock ticks on to four a.m. Enjoy!

Our OCD black-ops operators/assassins are on their way to Nepal, India to retrieve a kidnapped daughter of a CIA officer. Their not happy, as they assume they are a poor fit for this type of mission. As we all know, what it does mean when you assume. Against a gruesome trek over the mountainous trail with incurred injuries, the pair continued on their mission. Will they be able to catch up to the kidnappers? As far as that goes, who is involved with the kidnappers? All involved thought it was either the bodyguard or the porter. Were they right, or was it someone else? This is a good story; lots of tension with plenty of action. I like the main characters although a bit OP and have a horseshoe embedded in their arses. Once again, Mr. Corkhill was awesome. There are many more books in this series and I’m tempted to continue. We’ll see.

A nice book to pass some time and peak your interest, always wandering what’s next. I find the repetitive ness in thoughts and emotions taking away from the story somewhat so deducted a point for that but all in all this is a great storyline. The ending didn’t really surprise me too much but it was what I hoped happened due to Rayas situation. Am definitely going to read more about these too and hope you do too.

Cheesy & Amateurish - cant believe again,the high ratings? I listened to the audio book and the narrater is like someone from the 80's very over played and over dramatised. Read like a comic book and even in the harder hitting parts I was laughing and wincing at the same time! Again, couldn't even get half way through.

Wow, unbelievable action and entertainment from this imaginative novel that is beyond belief in the concepts of corrupt business practices, terrorism politicians who are obvious sociopaths.
I have never been to Mount 🗻 everest and the description of the efforts and physical effects to the bodies underscores my aversion to such a concept of traveling to napal.

Slater & King, standing on integrity
Rogers delivers again. Another strong story. Another 'good guys win' ending. Solid character development. But, in this book Matt inserts a bit too much commentary about secondary events that 'slowed' the overall action therefore only 3 stars.

A riveting and unusual story
I'm a new fan and I have not been disappointed at all. The characters are solid and they jump off the page with true action. I'm getting the next novel in the series right now.

Mayhem in Nepal
Action packed and fast paced. Realistic? Not so much, but who cares? I found his descriptions of Nepal at least extremely believable. Either Rogers did extensive research or maybe he was there. Either way a page turner.

Hard to close...Riveting page turner! Well written with lots of action. Easy to feel like you're there with the King & Slater throughout the book.

A bit over the top - but good plat , action and pacing. With all their resources, why wouldn't our two heroes take supplemental oxygen to avoid altitude sickness?

I like to read action, edge of the seat thrillers to contrast with my quiet, calm life. Matt Rogers and Andy Maslen tick all boxes and the King Slater series makes for exciting reading.

This book was much better than the first in the series. It was not as "over the top" unbelievable as the first. It kept the action coming keeping the reader engaged.

Excellent, good characters and the story keep me reading much later than I planned. His style of writing at some point takes hold and off I go unable to put it down. There are some moments where they move a bit faster than men of this experience would creating trouble where it probably shouldn't. However it adds to authors choice of emphasizing the journey and not the destination keeping you in the story.

Like the first book in this series, this one was really hard to put down. It is fast-paced, compelling, and the characters are everything you could ask for in heroes. I rate it 5 stars.

Rogers knocks it out of the park again. It is amazing how much torture he can take King and Slater through. The book doesn't hold back any punches when it comes to physical extremes of human endurance. And it's not that the two protagonists are superhuman and they don't suffer the effects of the troubles piled on them, that much is evident and by then it feels like reading an episode of Daredevil where you see Matt Murdock actually struggling to get up during or after a fight.
This is what makes the action real.
The best bit? Rogers creates a decent mystery in the book that seems like all action on the top. And when he adds the emotional angles, oof, masterful!
Not everyone's cup of tea, but if you are looking for believable and realistic action in a wholesome and easy to read package, give this one a shot. I enjoy these books a lot!

Double the thrills.
Will Slater and Jason King, double the trouble, double the action, and double the adventure. King &Slater team up to try to rescue the 14 year old daughter of a government official from kidnappers in the mountains of Nepal. Uncertain about who the actual kidnappers are and very little intelligence to go on the guys find themselves trying to fight not only the unknown kidnappers but the harsh conditions. Could this be the op that does them in? Will they have enough in the tank to even get there.
