What would you do if you went to bed at night looking the way you always have, just to wake up the next morning and the image in the mirror look different?
It was my sixteenth birthday, and I didn’t expect to go to bed the night before my birthday with blond hair, blue eyes, and tan skin, to wake up on my birthday with black hair, red eyes, and paper white skin.
I had been a foster child, never knowing why my parents had been killed. I accepted the fact I was going to age out of the system without getting adopted, but little did I know, the universe had something entirely different for me.
In the blink of an eye, in the seconds between sleep and awake, my life was changed forever, and I was no longer human.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I haven't read anything about this series, but this Prequel is very intriguing to invest more in the Witches of Moon Gate series. I always love beginnings, of how someone reacts when something magical happens to them. And they learn that much was hidden from them all in the name to protect them.
It is a good beginning to now the character of the story and how it all began. Again the character possess magic that is so unheard of that the magical community feels threatened by it. How will this play out?
I think the prequel would have made more sense , when you at least read one book of the series. So there is not much I can say about it at this point.

This was a very interesting read. Dianna was raised in foster care and a group home as long as she can remember. On her 16th birthday she awakens and her life is completely changed. This is a must read.
