She wrote her first book at age 5 and never looked back. Her debut MG novel, "The Sought Six: The Sterling Cone" has been praised by Kirkus reviews as "a safe adventure packed with imagination" and that "like the Harry Potter books, the sparkle here comes from an abundance of magical ideas. When not writing, which isn't often, Catherine enjoys horseback riding, most ball sports, enjoying a hot cup of coffee, and squealing delightedly at every dog she sees.

This reminded me of Bridge to Teriabithia meets Chronicles of Narnia! The storyline and characters had me hooked from the first page and it brought me back to my younger days which gave me all the feels. A wonderful read and another good book for the younger generations if they choose to make this their first read.

A really well-considered, beautifully crafted children's fantasy (perfect for those aged 8+). The author, Catherine Klug, has clearly invested so much imagination, thought and consideration into every single aspect of her story, leading children off into a fantastical world called Pawcombe, where The Sought Six must overcome challenges, win battles, and discover their true roots.
More magical than The Secret Seven, more thrilling than The Famous Five, The Sought Six is set to be a favourite amongst MG audiences, with my own daughter over-the-moon excited to get her hands on a copy!
With more books to follow, I'm sure this will quickly become a favourite series for our little people!

My kids really liked this book! They said it hooked them in from the first chapter. They want to know if there will be a sequel!
I read it out of curiosity, and I must say I agree with them! It's vivid and imaginative and I think children will really love it. Not to mention... one of the characters is named after me!!
There is sword fighting sure, but nothing you wouldn't find in a Narnia book.
We highly recommend!!!!

The sterling cone - Sought of Six is a very interesting children’s fantasy novel, based on twins and 4 best friends.

The author takes you from a fairly normal morning to a fascinating imaginative world through her skillful writing. She pens the story lucidly to create an evocative experience for the readers.
Klug's characterization is superlative as she leads with twin sister, and a group of friends. The cast befits the fast paced book .
Adventurous, magical ride for the readers in the picturesque Pawcombe -a flamboyant realm crafted through brilliant world-building.
The author incorporates thoughtful messages and delivers a meaningful theme of war between good and evil.The book is easy to grasp and understand for young readers. Thoroughly enjoyable, keeping the readers hooked till the end.
I would give this book 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for its theme. Highly recommended for children of all ages especially middle graders will adore the book.
