A departure from Graeme's more fantastical picture books, being firmly grounded in a Suburban backyard. Mind you this backyard is large enough to hold a rabbit hutch and a pond, which is larger than any backyard I've ever lived with.
A children's party next door disturbs our troublesome trio, and especially worries them when a bright red intruder escapes into their yard.
Superbly drawn still, and still with the puzzles and intrigue. Loved it as much as any of his works.

Our household finds this series to be absolutely adorable.

Each simple adventure presents a problem that the young resident animal characters (and the young audience) find difficult to solve, but our reliable heroes the BumbleBunnies sweep in to save the day. I love that each entry acknowledges that mundane problems are nevertheless problems, while providing the comfort of a solution that the audience can help work out. It's like a warm hug in story form.

The smallest member of the household was particularly enamoured with the solution in this adventure because the BumbleBunnies used items that the small person uses regularly.
