A plain looking young man lives in a world that runs on the conventions of BL manga. He doesn't want any part of it, but he can't help but comment on the trends he sees.
This manga is about a boy who lives in a yoai world, the land of bl or a realm of bl and with one wrong move you end up in a yaoi relationship. One of the oddest plot I have ever read about.
It was hella funny and being a hardcore fujoshi I can't help but cringe seeing all those yaoi OBVIOUS because for years I have been rooting for all these moments.
Overall I really enjoyed it. And the live adaptation released this year was just cherry on top. Esp that theme song!
since i'm an avid yaoi reader half of my life, i am confident in saying that this manga reveals most of the clichés and stereotypes in the bl world plus the fact that it's hilarious?!?!? i couldn't ask for more. mc is tired being in the world full of bl happenings surrounding him but god knows he just needed a lover LMAO
A BL gag manga with a mob character as the protagonist who is aware he lives in a BL world, it's really freakin hilarious. Especially when we don't even know the MC's name yet, like a true mob character.
A crash course into tropes of high school BL manga. The nameless protagonist knows he's a background character in a boylove manga. Hows and whys aren't brought up, but it's not a transmigration story, just a fact of his life. The idea that he might end up in a relationship with a guy like all his classmates horrifies him, ostensibly because someone needs to give his parents a grandchild, after his little brother is swept away by a BL trope too. So he studies all manga tropes and sets out to avoid situations where he might end up being a protagonist.
Chapters are short slice-of-life stories of tropes his classmates are caught up in, all of which the MC of the manga observes from the sidelines. They're kind of amusing, but very hasty, and the characters come and go without making a deeper impression. The only constant is the MC, but he's so detached from the story that I almost didn't notice he'd switched from a high schooler to a college student. I kept waiting for the tropes to catch up with him and the story to begin, but that never happened. He never even gains a name. It was fun for one volume, but I'm not sure I'd read more of the same. Something needs to change.
Bonus story is from the pov of MC's little brother about how his BL romance started. Art was ok, but I had great trouble telling the characters apart at times.
I received a free copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

The more he adamantly refuses BL world, the more I want him to fall in love with man in the end. 😈🤣 Because sexuality is much more fluid than he thinks. You can't just decide/choose to be straight 100% just because you want it. 😁
BL Forever vs. No More BL vereint so ziemlich alle BL Klischees in kurzen Episoden von 4-6 Seiten.
This was fine, just kind of boring. I thought the meta bl premise could carry it through, but this is another episodic manga that doesn't really have a moving plot.
I do like this one. It's not overly romantic or deep. The characters are a chapter long if that unless related to the MC. A guy who knows he's in a BL manga, doing his best to dodge 'a fated meeting'. Its funny how stoic he is and how willing he is to throw someone else into the line of courtship. Felt sorry for the guy that he'd matched that already had a boyfriend. So many characters that likely don't matter past a chappy.

hilarious, but ig it would be kinda hard to get unless you're already familiar with the genre. but i found it hilarious. the protagonist was such a mood the whole time lmao
Man that was hilarious. It reminded me of Drastic Life of Saiki K and how he’s aware that he’s in an anime/manga. It’s meta but it was very accurate for BL tropes and the main character just had me laughing in so many scenes - fav was when he was like “could that back drop be any more obvious” (when he was trying to guess who his bros LI was)
Lowkey tho I want the protagonist to end up with someone… maybe Tojo? Unless Tojo really is the protag’s little bros love interest.
Overall, this story is just a collection of short stories with varying BL tropes while having the “background” character aware that he’s in a BL world. I really want to read the next one to see how that plays out
3.5 Stars This was a pretty funny drama all about BL thought not being one itself. XD I like how the main character analyses everything and tries his best to stay a side character. There is a kinde BL extra chapter but yeah. Honestly I wish there would be more to this. It was really funny! Also I do like the drawings quite a lot!
This was SO funny! It was hysterical to watch a BL manga through the eyes of a background character. Seriously, the tropes are ridiculous, but you don’t think about it much until someone points it out. :D
I want more!! Are there any tropes left? Will our MC “fall victim to a classic blunder”?
