What people are saying about the John Hayes Thrillers:

“Mark David Abbott is one of those great authors that creates characters that are believable and endearing. You can't help but feel their pain and root them on.”

“This Author is very creative and has written this book so well you feel like you are living in the book vicariously. Its a fantastic read. I definitely recommend this read.”

“Another great book in the John Hayes series. John Hayes is not just an ordinary man. He's someone this world needs more of. The best part about reading these books about him is the fact that you are not left feeling like, "Seriously?" His actions, as he deals with situations, are realistic. It makes your blood start pumping and has you turning page after page no matter the hour...you WANT to know how this turns out. In a time where everything is so outrageous and unrealistic, it's wonderful to sit back, grab that book and enjoy something real. As always, job well done Mr. Abbott! Loved every minute of it!”

“This book will capture you and you will want to keep turning the pages as fast as the book is carrying you to the next exciting event.”

John Hayes, a regular guy, with a great outlook and morals, decides to vacation with his new love, Adriana. They are in Dubai, enjoying the gorgeous sites and fantastic scenery when a man staying in their hotel recognizes John, and all hell breaks loose!!!
John is such a well-written character, we can all relate to this man who has had several horrific moments recently. And we have been proud to see this man take care of those who hurt the one closest to him, but hasn't he been through enough?! The man who spotted John is a powerful politician in India and the father of the boy whose life John took after he raped and murdered his wife- hasn't the eye for an eye been enough...
This man will stop at nothing to get John, having him followed through Muscat and into the desert, where he sends people to kill him.
A fast moving story with scenes and descriptions that have you right beside John and Adriana, feeling the desert sand whip around you and you are having breathing problems from the heat. So many good people feel John's essence and are willing and able to help in whatever way they can.
A story that pulls you right along, turning pages quickly as the action does not stop! A definite 5 STAR story, as has been this whole series thus far!! Will be waiting for further adventures with John Hayes SOON!!!

No Escape is the latest (and greatest) in the John Hayes series by Mark Abbott. Have you ever started a book series where every book was better than the last? This is that series!!! I would recommend reading them in order, you need certain understandings going into this book.

John Hayes is a fantastic character and is so well written. He’s just your average guy and is very relatable, he’s put into some very unique circumstances and as a reader you’re transported into his reality. You can feel the struggle he goes through as he makes his decisions and deals with the consequences and his conscious.

Being book 4 in the series you may expect things to be a bit predictable but they aren’t. You will be completely riveted and on the edge of your seat waiting for what happens next.

Mark Abbott also does a great job of building and describing the setting. From the business of Dubai to the vastness of the desert. You will find yourself transported.

If you’re intrigued don’t hesitate to grab this book (series) today!

I received an advanced copy of this story and am gladly leaving my honest and voluntary review.

I just can’t put the John Hayes series down, this is the fourth book I have read in the last 2 weeks and to find out the next release is only weeks away is amazing! The writing allows for a steady pace and keeps the reader gripped from the start! I am always willing John to come out on top and cannot wait for the next adventure.

This series just keeps getting better, I really like the characters, they are all very believable and brilliantly described, even the minor characters are well fleshed out with brief but complete descriptions.
The story is also very inventive, set in exotic locations, which are very evocatively described and with lots of tension and excitement.
John Hayes (the central character) isn't a super agent with ninja type skills, but a rather ordinary man who is thrust into situations where he has be very resourceful and capable, which he is, when the chips are down.
Whilst it is always better to read any series in order so that the characters develop it is perfectly possible to read this as a stand-alone as all the important back-story is included in the narrative.
This book does end in a bit of a cliff-hanger, but this just whets the appetite for the next book. It is a great read.
I received an advance copy of the book, but have voluntarily written this honest review.

I really love John Hayes. This is the fourth book in the series and I think it's the best. You really need to read them order to appreciate and understand John.He is a relatable character. An ordinary man who finds himself in extraordinary situations. He has no training and is not a superhero!!! He does do some bad things but he has a conscience and I think he is justified. The plot is quite simple, it's not convoluted in any way,but that's what I love about Mark's storytelling. The descriptions of the people and locations are really brought to life in each and every book.I can't recommend Mark David Abbott and John Hayes highly enough. I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of this wonderful novel in exchange for an honest review 😊

The blurb calls this book a fast-moving, page-turning thriller, and it is exactly that. A sympathetic protagonist who responds to threats with a deadly response. This is the fourth book in the series, and I have to confess they're all the same and they are a continuation of the same basic plotline and characters. After the third one, I swore I would stop...I have the same feeling after this one, but I will probably weaken and read the fifth volume in the future. This would fall into the category of a guilty pleasure!

John Hayes, along with his new love,Adriana, is vacationing in Dubai when John is recognized by an old enemy. The saga moves to Muscat, Oman and into the desert. John must confront old memories and come clean with Adriana. This story includes moving descriptions of sunrises and sunsets in the desert. As John struggles to leave his past behind, the past clings on. I am a member of he author’s ARC group and read an advance copy of this book for free in return for an honest review.

Mark David Abbott is one of my top favourite authors of all time...and I say it with not just sincerity but excitement! Every book in the John Hayes series has been better than the one before it. So few authors can keep a story not just realistic, but exciting as well. Having this gift has become such a rarity that I look forward to each new book with excitement because I know I will be hooked until the very last word. Brilliant work!

Another excellent read. This is the fourth book I have read in the John Hayes series. I have read them back to back and they are almost impossible to put down. Each story is completely different but nevertheless you cannot help but be fully immersed. The author brings all of the characters, both the good people and the bad ones, to life. Another huge pat on the back to Mark David Abbott and from me a genuine five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This series just keeps getting better and better!

Our hero can't catch a break...falling in love quickly goes south when his past catches up with him. He's joined by unlikely allies in a new adventure in an exotic setting. Will he lose his girl? Will this be it? Will it ever end?

I received an ARC of this book from the author and am thrilled that I can give a positive review.

I loved it! Our author’s writing of the John Hayes character is getting stronger and more mature in each book. As a Kiwi I did enjoy the Aussie character, Steve Jones and I hope we may meet him again in the future?!
I also really enjoyed the very different setting and Mansur’s Bedouin loyalty and love for his country and race. Another winner in my mind! Well done Mr Abbott! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Each book in this series builds on the last. You find yourself immersed in other countries and cultures - I’m here for the ‘thriller’ yet the descriptions keep me coming back. Another great John Hayes read ⭐️

This is very smooth reading, with a clear timeline and uncomplicated plot. The characters are very believable, and even though this is book 4 in a series, it's no problem reading it as a stand alone.

John Hayes just wants some peaceful holidays with his new found love Adriana. While they are in Dubai an Indian politician with a grudge against him recognises him and sends two killers adter him. When John and Adriana are in the middle of the desert in Oman, they take Adriana hostage while John is out in the desert with one of their hosts. John isn't happy about that at all...
A super fast paced read with an ordinary man as the hero. Mark's novels just get better with each new one. Highly recommened !
