Mika took the title of Head Witch with blood and told the world about a sub-class of witches they thought were long gone. Now she has to deal with the Angel of Death, the Council, and somehow keep everyone she loves safe while they prepare for a potential war.
Where it will come from though, that's the real question. Can Mika use her new powers to keep everyone safe or will Death finally find her?
I love this series so much. Even after 8 books, it's still throwing out twists and building suspense, and somehow well getting better! I especially adore the depth of history and lore in these books. I cannot wait for the conclusion to this magical series!!
SO GOOD!! This book has just the right amount of action, romance and sexy times. The story flows so well and doesn’t feel drawn out like a lot of series do when they are 7 books deep. I can’t wait until book 8
Shocking ending a bit of a cliffhanger but not a painful one. I liked the plot development and progress. Romance was top tier, love some good mm and mmf *chef's kiss*.
I have listened to this series on audible and I have pushed through as much as I can but I just cannot listen any longer. I usually don’t listen to books with only one narrator as I prefer a duel or duet narration. Against my better judgment I decided to listen to this series, Melissa Schwairy did a really good job there were times where her narration didn’t flow very well, however, she has a lovely gentle tone that was probably the only reason why I kept listening.
Now to the story.
Am I the only one who absolutely cannot stand Mika? She constantly whinges and whines about not wanting to be a leader or a queen or tells her men they don’t have to stay with her they can go be free blah blah blah. It is so freaking tiresome and I honestly got tired of waiting for her to grow some ovaries and embrace the power she was given and be the boss bitch she is supposed to be.
The whole blushing about sex really should have stopped when she had three dicks swinging around in her bed, but nooooo she blushes because one of her men wanted her to sit on her lap, come on this is another place she could have levelled up and really explored her sexuality, I think once a character has been double teamed or triple teamed she might not get so shy about sitting on one of her well established men’s laps.
I am really unsure how I held out so long, I love books about worlds where paranormal and gods collide so I think that’s what kept me going. This book just failed so badly for me as there was a whole lot of talk and really no action, there is 51 minutes left in the book and I still have no idea of what Azrael is doing or why she moved everyone onto Morgana island without protections. Why haven’t they been attacked yet? What is going on?
There was so much about a stupid fight with the crow girl that led to absolutely nothing, I’m not sure what the purpose of that fight was.
I think the first few books kept me interested because there was action and there was a purpose to them, these last two books I have found it hard to gel with and don’t have the patience to continue on listening to her whine about her life.
There were times where I was a little confused as there are so many characters I needed to remember, it got a little messy at times for me. There are really fantastic characters in the book, I was hoping there would be more of the Morrígan once she was released but that didn’t go anywhere either.
I am going to DNF this series as I am very bored and really cannot listen to another whining session from Mika.
Let me start this off with things I should’ve mentioned in past reviews and completely forgot: the dudes get it on too, someone has a daddy kink, and there is constant reference to past rape history. I didn’t think to mention these as a caution because to me it’s completely normal and I figured someone would’ve mentioned it by now. Oh and there’s a lot of missing commas I feel would’ve made it better but that’s me.
Now. WOW. I like the way the author changes things. Mika’s resistance about being powerful was a little tiresome by this point, it would’ve been better received if she complained another way. I like the characters introduced and how they expand the world. A few things were redundant but I like the way new information was slid in. I love the closeness.
Sex is hot but these books have a LOT going on most times and this book felt long with how much stuff got done. I love it.
I previously read the books up to this one and then decided to wait until the series was complete since the cliffhangers were killing me and I like reading a series all in one go preferably.
I tend to speed read everything and annoyingly I can't read books slowly anymore which is a real issue since I like reading but books are expensive...oh well I guess I dont need all the other stuff.
This was darker, and I feel like each books gets darker still but at the same time there's always a silver lining as well and that helps keeping it from being overpowering.
This series just keeps getting better and better if that's even possible. Mika is slowly learning about herself and what it actually means to be the Warrior Queen. Mika's men what can you say except she keeps adding to her harem but it all works so well. Now with the devil adopting her as a sister and the God of Death trying to get Mika in his side add in Mika's brother aswell and bam you need the next book. I will impatiently wait for the new year to see what is going to happen. Love this book and this series.
So damn amazing. You must read in order to fully love this story. Mika is just so intense, kick butt, magical and amazing. No matter the betrayals and lies she keeps on going. The war has begun and lines will be drawn. Her men will lay down their own lives for her but she would never let them do that. Her friends are the family she always wished she had and even death can’t stop her. I can’t get enough of this series and all the characters that are in it. There are so many strong heroines and the men who stand by their sides. Expect action and some pretty hot scenes too.
This was a great read and addition to the series. There didn't seem to be as much suspense in this one. Some new revelations and questions answered. Still more to come though. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because it took so long since the last book that I had forgotten several things. Also for some reason that I can't put my finger on she didn't seem as likable in this one. Still I'm excited for the next book.
Keep these books coming Emma. The series just getting better and more detail oriented and I love it. We get to more of the people we love from her other series show up more in this book. 🦝🦊
Mika has to really learn how to rely on those she calls family as there is only one her and she can't protect everyone. There danger lurking will require everyone. Can't wait to read what mika and her family does next
Wicked Little Things, book seven of the University of Morgana: Academy of Enchantments and Witchcraft series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). Oh, wow! Just when you think you know where the story is heading, the writer tosses out a red herring or another surprise. Even the twists have turns in this series.
This is a wild book, there is so much going on you can't put it down.Mica seems to have the fate of the world on her shoulders and she doesn't know how to save it.
So pleased that this was released earlier than expected and such a romantic book out of the series. Poor Mika's still having to play catch up. Can't wait to read more. JL
Such a good book. I can’t describe the roller coaster ride that this book took me on. Mika and her boys haven’t won the war yet but things are definitely getting more intense. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
This story “Wicked Little Things” is inspiring, fast read, and interesting. It is difficult to put these books down once you begin reading them. I recommend this book and the entire series.
This series is amazing addictive condren, book one was slow but the series has been so spectacularly that readers are entranced. My goodness we have two books that are still ready to read.
I am still very much in love with this story. I do not have a lot to recap on this book it definitely felt like a whirlwind. We definitely received a lot of information in this book and you definitely need to put the pieces from past books into this book
Unbelievable series. I read 100’s of books every year often starting a series and reading a few before getting bored and moving on. I read every book in the series and devoured them all wishing it never had to end.
Epic continuation of the Mika saga. We learn so much more and she shows how much of a bada$$ she really is. The connections she makes are amazing. Must read.
