One man's story of turning blood, sweat, and tears into a successful living--literally! After his untimely death as the hardest-working salary man in Japan, Luciel is reincarnated into the magical fantasy world Galdardia. Always the man with a plan, he recreates himself to be a healer, and sets about making his way in the world. But while Luciel knows a thing or two about making money, he knows absolutely nothing about Galdardia. Will his good heart and great work ethic be enough to make him... The Great Cleric ?
After being reincarnated, Luciel sets off on his quest with three silver coins in his pocket, and a desperate need to make more. His first stop is the town of Merratoni, where he's no sooner in the gate than he's bowled over by rowdy adventurers. However, he's rescued by the mysterious and beautiful Lumina, who takes him to the Healer's Guild to get registered. But before he can start making money...he's going to have to learn to heal, first! And training in this world doesn't come cheap or easy. All Luciel knows is, he's got a tough road (and a lot of long days) ahead…!
This is a decent and promising enough isekai manga. This isn't the first one about a healer and it won't be the last. The art is standard fare for this stories, with a good looking main character and a bevy of better looking ladies, but the artist is noticeably making an effort to make this stand out from the rest of generic looking manga.
Still, this is the kind of manga I'd like to read to freshen the palate after the dumpster fire that is the Redo of Healer anime. Healers are good people too. They have to be, their skill set could only let them heal others after all.
Pretty interesting. I felt like I missed some details (did he really get shot and why is he envisioning monster luck as a dude?) but I am sure more will be told in the next volumes and haha maybe I am just too tired. The art was pretty nice. I like the MC and love how hard he works (though that substance x will haunt my dreams XD) and how he heals everyone not just certain peeps.
I'd bought the manga before actually reading the light novel, not realizing this was an adaptation. Once I got my hands on my new Kindle I immediately bought the light novel and decided to wait to read the manga afterward! A great decision as the novel goes so much further than this singular manga volume could, even with the brevity it has I enjoyed it quite a bit! There were very few changes between the two & I enjoyed the artwork throughout!
As much as I enjoyed the manga I thought the artwork was not quite as nice as the original character designer's work & felt a bit messy in places. In the credits, Hiiro Akikaze did mention this was their first manga, and unfortunately, it shows... but I'm hoping as the manga continues their artwork becomes sharper & improves!
Konsep ceritanya sedikit mengingatkanku dengan Witch Hat Atelier sama That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime.
Ever since they hit my radar, I've been actively looking for books about rejects who carried everyone else: underdog characters who either are or appear to be "weak" but end up either being or becoming stronger than everyone else in the end. I had picked this up again because I remembered it being very cookie-cutter in that respect.
Not exactly—it's very cookie-cutter for Generic Fantasy WorldIsekai, but there's not really any point at which Luciel (or his original self) is treated as inferior... just mistreated. If anything, it's more like The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter (minus the questionable "you must be in a gay relationship with me or you'll LITERALLY DIE" content) in that the main character is a little TOO conditioned to overwork himself. The main difference is Luciel had an epiphany from his murder* and realised he wanted to die from old age this time around, carefully planning to establish himself, Bofuri-style, in a safe and healthy work environment (though with some martial arts training for SOME protection should he ever have to travel).
I mean, I enjoyed watching the anime as a distraction while exercising, but it was mostly forgettable other than the "Masochistic Zombie Healer" (ドMゾンビ, Do-Em-Zombie) repeated regularly in the anime. Even now, other than the (somewhat in the future) Zombie parts, I only remember what's in this volume, because I just read it and sort of remember, oh yeah, that was in the show. Pretty much peak "out of sight, out of mind."
I normally try to make recommendations for who should read this, but... fans of isekai stories? Because they'll apparently read anything so long as it starts with somebody dying/being transported to another world, especially if it goes to a "medieval fantasy with magic and adventurers and monsters" setting? I don't know. C-
*from a random gunshot, totally normal in absolutely gun-free Japanese society
Cute but average beginning. I do think it’s funny that he’s joined the adventurer’s guild…. but he hasn’t killed a slime once. Also not sure I wanna know what is in Substance X. 😳 the artwork serviceable for the story, which does start to pick up in books 2-3. Vol 4 was less to my taste, because it started to feel a bit more like every leveling up rpg game I’ve ever seen and less unique overall and the current plot is stalling the story, imo. Still, not a bad run so far.
A salaryman dies tragically, only to revive as a teenage healer in another world. Now called Luciel, he applies himself doggedly to training his body and his magical abilities. He never hesitates to heal someone in need, no matter their race or their ability to repay him, which makes him stand out in a world where healers are high-paid specialists who demand outrageous prices for the simplest of spells.
Issekai with its fair share of training montages. Interesting politics and a likeable main character. Will follow to see how he fares.
Just in case you weren’t sure, beast people are discriminated against quite a bit. It’s taken a lot of pains to emphasize that.
So far it’s average. The writing is average, with a lot of telling instead of showing. The artwork is a little amateurish as well, with proportions being off and him looking nowhere near the supposed age of 15. He’s putting to use his work experience, as it says over and over…hopefully it avoids the harem route.
I’m a little curious why the gods were betting, and if the other 9 souls that were brought over will be relevant.

If you're a fan of fantasy based stories this is one for you. If you like the RPG set up of a game or book... This is for you! I enjoyed this first volume for its fast paced way of moving the story along and showing that our main character is determined to learn even though he was placed in a situation out of his control.
My only complaint is that it went by so fast, haha
Main character angle shows he is still thinking like his old personality. People in the world he comes to are more impressed than he knows about his determination to be an all around good healer. Enjoyable use of anime skills to show characters automatic defense reactions.
I have not read the novel is that this manga is based off of but I can tell just from this manga that it should be pretty good now I’m going to go back and see if I can find the novels.
The titular character is likable, if a bit slow. The world appears to be developed, though not much is shown in this first volume. I like it well enough to give the next volume a try.
An incredible start to an interesting fantasy manga series!!!
I'm so lucky to have received a free copy of this Manga by chance during an Amazon promotion!!! The story so far is interesting and I love the setting!!! The art style is super beautiful and unique too!!!
Definitely a different take on the healer isekai. Good starting point, but very character/world building driven in this volume. If you're looking for action we haven't seen it quite yet. Looks like this story will be "deep" if they give it enough time to develop though.
I really enjoy Isekai manga. This one is amazingly done. The main character isn't overpowered from the get go, but follows him as he figures out not only himself but the world he is not in.
