I have found value in the work of Townsend and Cloud before, and even this book had some high-quality tidbits, but I felt like, as a whole, the book was very middle-of-the-road. I can't recommend it or recommend against it. I've read a lot of parenting books, so I'm wondering if this would be more valuable for someone who hasn't read a lot of parenting books in which the same material is covered by different authors.

Not a bad book but feels very biased and could use more perspective I think.
Great read to have, but make sure to read something else as well :)

Very helpful. I took my time reading it and would go weeks between readings at times. Very useful.
