Tracy Lorraine is a M/F and M/M contemporary romance author. Tracy has just turned thirty and lives in a cute Cotswold village in England with her husband, baby girl and lovable but slightly crazy dog. Having always been a bookaholic with her head stuck in her Kindle Tracy decided to try her hand at a story idea she dreamt up and hasn’t looked back since.
This book was unnecessary. Making this into a series was unnecessary. I felt like this whole book was unnecessary drama. I really liked Ben and Lauren in the first book but they were both so frustrating in this one. It took Ben 20% of the book to decide to go home. He kept whining about how he still wanted Lauren but didn't want to go back.
As for Lauren, she kept saying she hated Ben yet falling into bed with him.
I was really hoping that this book would be worth a series but it wasn't. I should have stopped after the first book, but I had to know what happened to Ben and Lauren. All this book did was kill any desire to see them get a HEA. I'm done.
Six years ago Ben walked away from his home in order to protect his mom, Jenny, and step-sister, Lauren, from Lauren’s dad, Nick. Now Nick has died and Ben needs to return to make sure that they are both ok and see the state that Nick has left everything in, including the business that his family started. Lauren was devastated when Ben left her without a word and now she is not ready to take him back or forgive him for deserting her. She has moved on and wants Ben to stay as far away from her as possible as she finally has her life moving in the direction that she wants. Ben isn’t ready to give up on Lauren but can he convince her to give him a second chance when all he wanted to do was protect her? This is such a great second book and although it really didn’t go the way I wanted it to I know there is another book coming so I am just holding my breath. I understood why Ben left so I was so frustrated that Lauren couldn’t understand the actions that he had to take in order to protect her. Nick was willing to do whatever he could to hurt Ben and it was clear in this book how much damage he really did do. I got why Lauren was so mad as Ben never said a word but I was also shocked by her loyalty to her dad, even after everything that had happened at the restaurant. Lauren hated Ben so much and never really gave him a chance to explain anything. With the reading of the will Lauren was so mad yet again never knew why her dad did what he did. I was happy when Lauren and Ben got together the few times but then I did realize that nothing was changing in Lauren’s mind and she hated Ben even more after that. I am still wondering how and why Lauren believes that Ben ruined her life so much and am wondering if something is going to come out in the next book that makes me understand more of the hatred. The end of the book had me crossing my fingers until Lauren lays into Ben and gives him certain news that left me broken for Ben! By Rebecca
Losing the Forbidden is the second book in the Forbidden Trilogy and it starts off six years later. From the very first sentence I was beyond excited because it was from Ben’s perspective. I love the change in characters perspective. It definitely kept things exciting and fresh. Ben has been trying to numb his heartbreak and loss with alcohol and women for the past six years. Whilst I was thankful he found some incredibly supportive friends, I was hating on him a bit with the way he dealt with the situation.
The heartbreak, anguish and sexual tension were through the roof in this book. Ben is working through all of his emotions and the doubt lingering that he may have made the wrong decision. I have to say whilst it was frustrating as hell, it was a little bit more realistic and rawer that Ben and Lauren didn’t just get back together straight away. Their hot and cold feelings towards each other definitely ramped up the anticipation and angst.
I cannot wait to read the conclusion in Fighting for the Forbidden where I have my fingers crossed Ben will pull his big boy panties up and fight for Lauren and their love.

Losing the Forbidden (Forbidden #2) by Tracy Lorraine
5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Losing the Forbidden is the second book in the Forbidden series by author Tracy Lorraine, so you must read book 1 first, Falling for the Forbidden. It is written in dual POV.
Obviously I made my plans, theories, I had my expectations, but Tracy blew them away. This book action went wilde. Lauren is not ready to forgive Ben. She was completely devastated and destroyed after Ben left. She isn't just ready for him to come back. She learned to live without him and she thinks she is happy without him. Ben isn't ready to give up on her. I honestly have to say that in this book I hated Lauren for some reasons, which I am not going to say and explain, because.... spoliers...

We carry on with Ben and Lauren’s story and yet again I was rooting for them to be together, but Tracy Lorraine had other ideas and left me on the edge for the next book. It’s a truly amazing read and I love seeing these characters develop years later from book one.
Truths come out in this story and it made me hope it will be the HEA you want them to have but things happen and I was left with a jaw dropping ending.
These characters yet again had me gripped to their story, to their own fight for feelings on each other. While reading it’s like I could see it playing out like a movie and throughout it all, I was hooked, wanting to know more, wanting their HEA. I couldn’t stop reading and was captivated in the whole story.
We see the return of past characters and it really works in the story. This story is a definite must read, but be sure to read book one first. It takes you on a emotional ride and I for one loved being part of it. Hands down 5 ⭐️ read and this series is just getting better and better.
OMG...Ben and Lauren's story has got me so wrapped up in their story and begging that these two get a HEA. I was thinking that this book was the ending of their forbidden love story only to get to the end to find another cliffhanger. I am not complaining at all because this just makes me want to get my hands on the next book even more. I have falling so hard in love with their story. This book answers so many of my unanswered questions from book 1, but has left me wondering if they will have the HEA that I am hoping for. Gosh...this new to me author has made me fall in love with her writing and I really can't wait to read more of her books. I highly recommend you check out her work.
This was a quick read for me I set down and was done in just a couple of hours. Ben left and walked away after his stepfather threatened his mother and Lauren. Lauren has no idea whats really went down in her life and Ben just walked back in and turned her world upside down. They each have changed but Lauren is extremely hot and cold and I don't think she even knows what she really wants even after knowing the truth. Now can we have the last book because I need to know what happens.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I couldn't get enough of Ben & Lauren's story. Wow!! This one was so intriguing I couldn't put it down. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book via booksprout.
Don’t get me wrong I like the story so far , but I’m only pointing out things that peeve me .
Since this is only book 2 & not the full story .
First off I truly dislike the 6 year span ...
And unbelievable.. that he hasn’t spoken to his mother because of the step dad bullying in 6 years . 🤔
Seriously hate when the male lead is supposedly IN LOVE ........,with the Female .. yet while they are not together, he’s a MALE SL’T SLEEPING w/ anything with legs.
Ben being her first sexual experience makes this separation so heartbreaking , because having a six year gap means that she might have had a few boyfriends because most females don’t have a revolving door to their bedrooms when they are heart sick .
It breaks my heart that even if she had waited for him .. he didn’t have the respect to wait for her . Or be less of HO That the knowledge he was her first . He was given the gift 🎁 of taking her virginity. Not once does it really focus on that while he’s man banging around .
#Smh 🤦♀️ it’s like the guy has to sleep around in order to be the sexy character ..... but it instead it takes away from the story . I wish authors would realize that .
Tracy definitely keeps you on your toes for this series. Just when you think the story is going to go one way, its taken a whole different turn. The character development is strong. Seeing Ben and Lauren continue their story was one I was totally engaged in. They continue having to fight with all new aspects coming up left and right. You are definitely taken on a wild ride with these two after this story. To get to the end, thinking things are gonna go the way they are supposed to and then they just don't. I'm excited to continue the story with these two. I'm hopefully in what is to come with the next book. Definitely recommend this book, if you have read book 1 first.
This is the second book in the series. It should be read in order or you wont know what is going on. The end of the first book is a cliffhanger ending. This one ends the same way. And not a happily ever after. Not yet anyway. One more book. To see. In this book Ben gets a call that is both a blessing and not. In that he needs to go back but he isn't sure what he is going back to. It's been six long years.
This is the continuation of Lauren and Bens story and it is a Rollercoaster of emotions! Losing the Forbidden ties up alot of loose ends we were wondering about in book 1! This book is gut wrenching and alot of things in Lauren and Ben's lives have to fall apart in order to be put back together again. This book leaves you wanting more and i can't wait to get my hands on the final installment in their love story💗
Ugh. I hate, HATE giving a 3 star rating on a Tracy Lorraine book but I'm just not a fan of this series. We all come to understand Ben's decisions for leaving. He did it for his mom AND Lauren. But Lauren, despite being 6 years older, acted more childish than the first book when she was only 18.
I wasn't a big fan of this book. Lauren was too harsh. Again, I understand why she's mad, but she didn't even give Ben a chance or listen to him.
I’m reallly pissed off with Lauren!!! Grrrr!!! Come on!!! Stop being so stubborn!!
Book 2 takes place 6 years later, nick is dead (thank goodness! The bastard) Ben finally wants to explain and get L back BUT SHES NOT MAKING IT EASY! I just can’t wrap my head around why she doesn’t understand why Ben did what he did. I will give her that he should at least contact her some how over the last 6 years but dude go easy on him.
Love the narrators. After being gone for six years Ben returns after news of his stepdad's death to be there for his mom and Lauren. Emotions are high and the chemistry between these two are still there but things have changed. Great Continuation but it ends in a cliffhanger. I listened to the audio book.
Ben is back in town but things are not easy for him and Lauren. Their chemistry is still there as if nothing changed but everything has. Losing the Forbidden is book 2 in a trilogy by Tracy Lorraine. This book is full of angst, great characters who are trying to make peace with the past while focusing on building a better future!
Well I read this right after the first one. It's another low 3 star for me. I thought the characters and the writing was slightly better in this one, but I low key hated the plot. I'm going to finish the series because I'm invested now, but so far it's been a bit disappointing. There are much better step sibling romances out there.
UUUGGHHH - Ben. You can't just walk away you ass. I am heartbroken for Lauren. Say it isn't so... Ben you were better than this. Now I have to read Fighting for the Forbidden to hope this has an HEA. No matter how pretty Ben is with his muscles and tattoos.... Sigh
Lauren and Ben 6 yrs later, her dad dead, them seeing each other again, their lives just broken... So much going on this one that it almost makes you break but there is a sliver up hope and then.....
Ben finally gets to go back home to London to get his girl, but it’s been 6 years! So much can happen in that time and so much has. Everyone has to fight to keep what they love, but are they willing?
Ben is a good character though sometimes I'm like dude you're playing this all wrong. Lauren made me crazy in this one. She was very wishy washy. I'm sure there's more to Joe than what you get. I'm interested to see what happens in book 3.
This book was very emotional and you get to see the regret Ben has had to deal with for the past six years and it doesn’t end on a happy note which is even more upsetting because I was rooting for him.

This is the continuation of Ben and Lauren's story. It is full of spice and angst. I loved it.
After 6 years Ben comes back home. He doesn't expect to be received with open arms, but he didn't prepare himself for the fact that Lauren has moved on.
