Welcome to Harlem USA! Home to the world famous Apollo theater and the soon to be infamous Rotten Apples.
Marley is a single mother struggling to make it past life's obstacles. Despite the fact that she is the biggest one in her path. Her bad parenting skills may come back and bite her.
Jellissa may not be the cutest chick on the block but dudes love her nonetheless. Her shape and attitude more than make up for what she lacks in looks.
Yasmeen is a confused young Muslim woman trying to live in two opposite worlds. They don't coincide so she'll eventually have to choose one.
Mitzi's the Puerto Rican mami looking for love in all the wrong places. Meanwhile she's trying to raise her eight siblings as well as her childish mother.
Fate forces their hands and causes them to do things to survive by every means necessary. Turn the page and see why these Rotten Apples are Harlem's Finest.
I really enjoyed this book. This author has never disappointed me at all. I really liked how it was a Muslim character in this book. All the girls are going through something but they stick together to deal with their challenges. Their was a death that touched my heart and it had me all in my feels. It’s always a message in his books you just have to realize what it is. Great read now on to book two....
The storyline was very good! I would have given it five stars but there were so many errors. Who in the hell is Alexis. Her name was mentioned on the very last page. The editing was terrible. Not sure if I will purchase the other two books, but because it's written by Mr. Salaam, I probably will try book two. I've read 85 percent of his books and he's one of my favorite straight up thug authors' who writes about the street life.
I am enjoying these characters and all the drama they are bringing upon themselves. All of them are young naive and headed for big trouble. The author has done a great job with this well written, interesting, entertaining read. I can't wait for more.
The four ladies in this tumultuous, fast paced drama, brings the different upbringing of the ladies to the forefront and how they're lives differed and ended the same. A must read series.
When It Rains It Pours 💦💦💦 All In The Matter Of Days All Their Asses Was Homeless (Yasmeen, Jllissa, Mitzi & Marley) But The Crazy Part Is They're All The Family Each One Has. I Feel Book 2 Is About To Be A Pistol 🔫
Good read but i did not like how Sa’id decided to put 4 books in one 🙄 thinking I’m only halfway through the book and the next thing you know it’s the end.
It's been proven time and time again that peer pressure is hell. Yasmeen mother tried her best to keep her on the right track but the environment they lived in and having friend's like Marley, Mitzi, and Jallissa. Didn't help her proper upbringing. Yasmeen ended up succumbing to the ill will she saw on a daily basis. Marley would not win a mother of the year award. She was a kid trying to raise two kid's. By not having a great upbringing. She turned out pretty much like a lot of young mother's. Partying was her priority but when tragedy struck it had her wanting to be better. However I don't see it happening anytime soon. Mitzi was a hopeless romantic but how she went about love just left her hopeless. Lawd Jallissa. Smdh. This child use her body for monetary gain. As she go through life. She comes up with a plan for them all to have a better life. However that plan could potentially put all their lives at risk. The person they're plotting on is not too be played with.
So much was going on with all the ladies it was crazy I hate they had to go through so many hardships we know life throw curve balls at any moment I hope in the next books things start to look up for them I would love to see them win and get out the hood the right way
I loved it. I just wanted to reach in the story and pop each one of the girls in the back of their head. They are just clueless. I can’t wait to read what happens next. Sa’id Salaam you never disappoint me.
Them rotten apples were special. I couldn't put it down. I was enthralled with this proof young women. I really liked Yasmeen. I hated and loved how they came together at the end, but can't wait to see how they will smash New York next to survive.
This author is by far my favorite author I really like the story line I think this story has a hidden message. I like when his book has hidden message. All his book are excellent but the ones with the hidden message and mystery are my favorite.
Omg I LOVE THIS you’ve definitely done it again!!! Great read!!! Where is part 2!! I CANT WAIT to see how these rotten apples come out GREAT JOB as ALWAYS
