The Concordia sisters are back! This time they’ll get some answers along with more questions. Another entertaining installment in the Psychic Consignment Mysteries. JB Lynn always keeps me turning the pages!

The sisters have been running the second hand store and their gifts have become more apparent. When the cleaners a few doors down in the strip mall burns right after the fire inspector makes a surprise visit, the sisters begin to use their powers to find out who is behind it. I am enjoying this series so far.

I'm Loving this Series!

I had not read anything by JB Lynn prior to seeing this series. I enjoy "unusual" fiction, like time travel, Earthbound sci-fi and ET stories, and paranormal adventures. I'm also a huge cozy mystery fan. This series is right up my alley! There's no time travel, sci-fi or ET stories, but there is plenty of paranormal activity going on. JB Lynn's writing is concise and entertaining without being over the top. Okay, maybe Pim was over the top initially, but even toys have opinions and experiences! The three sisters are working their way through their Godmother's death (and life), and are getting comfortable with their new gifts and the folks Letty shared her life with, since her "girls" weren't local. After finishing the second book in the series, I feel comfortable with giving this a solid 4.25 stars, since I save that last 3/4 of a star for books I feel should be required reading, whether fiction or non. I'm looking forward to reading this series for a long time, and hoping that you'll give it a try. If your tastes are anywhere close to mine, I think you'll be in as much of a hurry to get back to reading the adventures of Amanda, Winnie and Bea, as I am!

Loved it! What a bunch of unusual characters. Wish I had psychic powers but I can live vicariously through this series. Three sisters united to find how what happened to their Godmother Letty. There is evil about in Sarasota, Florida, and the sisters are on the hunt. It seems that the evil is hunting them but that is what makes this series such a fun read. Harmony and her patchouli knows more than she is telling. She was Letty’s best friend and she sees things. I love the Hitwoman series and I love the Psychic Consignment series. Maybe it is the author’s quirky sense of humor that I love. JB Lynn has the gift. I mean who would imagine a magic pen and book for Winnie to use for her artistic talents? Treat yourself and get this series now which it is new. Book 1 and 2 are terrific and Book 3 is available for pre-order. You will enjoy the first reading but I bet you re-read them just for the fun of it. Thank you JB Lynn for sharing your talent with us, your avid readers and fans.

Another great read! The only unfortunate thing about reading Lynn’s books is that my entire family fades into the background and I’m only concerned about the lives of the characters. Lol. I have to make myself put the book down so I can do real-life things like make meals for my husband and the kids and grocery shop. Being an adult stinks sometimes. Haha.
I’m thinking the person who ordered Letty’s death was Mr. Perkins or maybe even Matt. Nutmeg does NOT like Matt and that should mean something. In the first book I thought Nutmeg was maybe Letty incarnate, but I’m not so sure now. I still suspect it.
And the Detective having a relationship with Piper? I don’t think so. Amanda really likes Tom, but is jealous because she thinks he and Piper are involved. My thought from back to the first book is that Piper is his sister.
I guess all will be revealed soon, but not in the next book (book 3, Another Woman’s Treaure). There will be some questions answered, but the full mystery will be solved in the last book (hopefully anyway).

Picking up shortly after the conclusion of the first book in the Psychic Consignment Mystery series, Gently Used, Still Works continues the story of the three Concordia sisters and their quest to discover what happened to their godmother, Aunt Letty. While each book is shared via all three sisters’ POVs, this time around the primary focus is on middle sister, Winnie. She doesn’t necessarily believe in the psychic gifts that Amanda and Bea have developed, and she is more focused on making sure the landlord doesn’t kick out the tenants of their building and finding who killed Letty.

This is the second story in an interesting cozy series with some series-arching mysteries. I enjoyed getting to know the three sisters more. I like that they have flaws and don’t have it all together. They are working on themselves, working on rebuilding their lives, learning to trust and grow, reestablishing their strained relationship, and building a new home, together. I admit I don’t necessarily like the sisters all the time, but as I get to know them, I find their flaws and bad attitudes just one facet of their personas. Couple this with multiple overlapping mysteries, and it’s a recipe for a good story.

The sisters are making friends with the locals, and it’s Winnie’s turn for romance as sparks fly with neighboring accountant, Jim. There are a few tense and dangerous moments as the sisters get closer to discovering who killed their aunt. Their powers begin to morph and solidify, and as they do, the sisters seem to be growing closer.

Narration: The story is shared via all three sister’s third-person POVs, with the majority coming from Winnie. The narrator remains the same for all POV’s: calm, feminine, and slightly on the deeper side. Ms. Marlo alters all dialogue appropriately for gender and age, with each voice unique enough to identify. Each sister has a unique voice, but I don’t recall if they are the same as the first book. I felt that Bea (who was the primary character in book 1) sounded a bit more childish this time. Her males voices are deeper and well-performed, and the voice of the little sheep toy is higher-pitched and well-suited for the character. Overall, Ms. Marlo makes the story easy to listen to.

In the end, Gently Used, Still Works is another solid story. I really enjoy the mix of personal discovery and relationship building with the mystery and adventure. There is the larger mystery of what happened to Letty, coupled with smaller mysteries and personal character development.

My Ratings:
Story: B
Narration: B+

This is a delightfully entertaining series with so many layers of concerns and happenings. I am a wee bit confused about one of the romances...but I am sure more will be explained in future books. Meanwhile, all of the sisters are exhibiting signs of special abilities, and some of them send a chill down my spine! Winnie is drawing things she has never seen, and they are 100% accurate renditions!
Two sisters can hear objects talk, and then there is Rupert the ghost! I am fascinated by the shop and the characters in the book! JB Lynn's compelling style makes this series extremely good. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

Things just get stranger and more interesting.

This book was so good and I can't wait to read the next one as the more questions that get answered, the more questions there are that need to be answered. This book is a wonderful mystery but it is also like a treasure hunt of sorts and the sisters are making friends as well as they all have men who seem to be very attracted to them. It has been a long time since I got this caught up in a series that I loose all track of time. JB Lynn you write incredible stories and I am so glad I found you as you are a new author to me but I will be following you for a long time if all the books you write are as good as these two.

This is an entertaining and fun novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. Three sisters inherit a second hand shop, then quickly inherit psychic powers. For each they're very different, but each has a role in both the shop and the mysteries surrounding it.

If you enjoy a cozy mystery with a bit more mystery, then you will love this book. The characters are engaging and I found myself invested in their story. Put this one at the top of your TBR list. The author is on my must read authors' list.

Three cheers for the Concordia sisters!

This second book continues the sisters' search for the answers to the mystery of their beloved Godmother Letty's death as they settle in running Letty's consignment shop. They are finding out more about her many kindnesses to different people in the community as the gifts Letty has left them spark surprising abilities in each sister. Not to be missed!

The exciting second book in the series has the sisters attempting to find out how their godmother, Letty, died and trying to figure out their psychic powers. The evil landlord, suspicious fire inspector, suspicious store fire and Winnie jumping into a physical fight are just part of the intense action. Fans of quirky cozy mysteries will enjoy this series; definitely needs to be read in order.

Ahhh… the plot thickens!

The first book introduced us to three sisters who lost their beloved godmother. What they thought about her death is not what the facts are saying now. As they try to discover the truth, bonds are formed, romance has begun to blossom, and nothing is as it seems.

mystery fire

The Concordia sisters solve a few mysteries. There are still many questions to be answered, hopefully in book 3. Love the ghost, dog and detective. And from a Sarasota resident, Red Bug Slough is under renovations. More bathrooms and a bigger playground. Still has lots of trees.

Gently used, stllworks (Psychic Consignment Mystery Book 2)

The second book has several twists in trying to solve the mystery the three sisters are trying to do. I really like the writing style of JB Lynn and using a wide range of different personality in her characters. Book 2 was even better than Book 1. I am looking forward to the next Book in this series

Love the Concordia sisters! The sisters are learning to depend on one another again as they learn more about themselves and the woman that raised them. Learning she was keeping some deadly secrets could cost them each other or their lives.

Enjoy

The second book is as good as the first. The sisters are growing in many ways and we are learning more about other characters. I appreciate that part of the mystery is revealed. But, there are more questions to answer.

The Best Goes On

So the saga of the Concordia sisters goes on as they unravel the mystery of who killed their godmother. More mysteries pop up along the way, entertaining with clues already presented. A fun read.

I really enjoyed this second in the series. The Concordia sisters become closer and Winnie is featured the most as her sketches seem to reveal people or events she knows nothing about. Detective Keller continues investigating Lettys demise. The book brings more questions and I look forward to the next installment. Great series
