Nightshade Academy is going to burn, and it’s all my fault.

Madeline, Nightshade’s headmaster, saved me before Eduardo could torture me, but Archer wasn’t so lucky. Eduardo knows Nightshade’s location because he’s been tracking Archer’s every move. If Madeline hadn’t taken pity on us, Nightshade would be safe.

But there’s no time to dwell on what-ifs. We have to save everyone before it’s too late.

Ook dit boek leest weer lekker weg. Her eind is afgerond maar laat wel verhaallijn over voor een volgend deel.
in de hele serie miste ik af en toe een beetje diepgang in de verschillende karakters.

They get to put the past behind them

Finally, the girls get their freedom, but at a cost.
The upside is they admit their feelings and can finally start to look towards a future, instead of running all the time.
Now, they have a home.

Nice ending to the series. It's open a bit, but otherwise the story is complete

This series (comprised of 5 novella sized stories) follows Nova Ray. She’s always been the weird girl but she had no idea just how weird she really was. After finding out that she is a vampire she gets kidnaps and wakes up in Nightshade Academy. This academy specialized in helping paranormal creatures learn to control their powers and urges.

I really liked the authors take on vampire-ism and the paranormal world that she created. The unique powers and traits the creatures had really created a fun story.

Nova struggles to accept any sort of love or friendship and that makes this journey that much harder for her, but such a lovely progression as she learns to trust the ones that care about her.

I was really hoping there would be more to this series and was so disappointed that it was complete!
