If you've got a kid who loves all things Star Wars, this would make an excellent gift. Even though the stories contained within this book are old hat for a longtime fan like me, I had a blast with it, especially with the amazing artwork.

If you enjoy great science fiction books, about laser swords and space wars, this is the book for you. Star Wars Trilogy is a great book based on the movies by George Lucas, Donald F. Glut and James Kahn. They did a great job of showing basically everything, especially the main idea/theme, I would say the theme of the book is fight for what you think is right, and it is shown multiple times when you see the rebels fighting the Empire.
This book is about the story of Luke Skywalker and the rebellion and their goal to rid the galaxy of the Empire. From a New Hope up to Return of the Jedi, you read about how Luke and Ben Kenobi go to rescue the princess to the attack on the Death Star, and into The Empire Strikes back you read about the battle on Hoth and what Cloud City is, and then going into the final story how you read about the Battle of Endor and how the attack on the 2nd Death Star goes.
This book would appeal to those who like science fiction and space. It would also appeal to anyone who wants to get into Star Wars. This book is great for many reasons like appealing to it’s audience and it does not disappoint. One of its flaws is the transitions between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, and The Empire Strikes Back to Return of the Jedi.
I love this book, this shows everything I love in a good book, lots of action, good plot, a good story, great characters with great backstories, and just the right bit of sad moments. If you love the Indian Jones movies made by George Lucas, you will love Star Wars Trilogy. They might have a it of differences but it might enlighten you to watch or read the rest of the series.

Enjoyable read with great illustrations. It did jump around a bit and I feel like if you don't know the story you might get confused. Though, if you are reading this book, you've probably seen the movies and already know the story.

Star Wars: The Original Trilogy Stories, by George Lucas, was a book that I enjoyed. This book is for younger readers, as it is a picture book with not that much dialogue per page. But, it is still enjoyable. As I wanted to learn a little about the Star Wars background, this book did just that. Something that really makes the book stand out is its hardcover and smooth texture. Overall, I enjoyed this book and will recommend this book to people wanting to know the Star Wars background, or like Star Wars.

Have you ever tried to find a good star wars book but could never find one here is a good recommendation and I am talking about a book called Star Wars The Original Trilogy Stories and the author of this book is Brian Rood he is a good writer some of his books got me hooked from the start the genre of this book is action, mystery, scientific fiction and etc. This book starts off with two robots trying to save a princess from an evil base. This evil base the princess is trapped in is called the death star and one of these robots called R2-D2 C-3PO so they travel to a planet where the main protagonist is there his name is Luke Skywalker he wanted to travel but his aunt was very strict until two robots came R2-d2 and C-3PO they came and got sold Luke got his hands on them and he discovered a princess was captured so he made his way to an airport and met an old man that used to be a former Jedi his name was Obi Wan with his powers they save the princess that sparks more conflict with the evil side.Personally, my thoughts on this book are that the plot is pretty good because it has an evil and good side and both sides are having conflict. I liked that it goes kind of fast pace and slow pace at the same time its in the middle because the major events pass really fast thats what i really dislike but the story is good i like that and the characters are really good because i like how Luke Skywalker didn't just get his powers out of nowhere he actually had to train for it and his backstory is pretty good too because his father was a jedi knight but something happened and he disappeared the themes are also really good his writing style is okay definitely not the best but definitely not the worst writing style i have personally read and it also has picture as someone who likes to draw i really like the way they Drawed. My overall opinion on this book is that it is a good book and I really like how it is formatted. I love the story and backgrounds of the characters. I would recommend reading the book slowly because the book's major events go by fast because there are not a lot of words on each page. I would recommend this book to people who love action mystery or if you ever watched the star wars movie and i also recommend people who have watch like Percy Jackson or cartoons this book is really good

If you can forgive or ignore the above criticism, this book provides great nostalgic sci fi—enmeshed in themes found in global folklore: a wizard mentor, a naive youngster who needs to be molded and courted to a humanitarian cause; a series of tests; to experience the ultimate victory of the human heart and maturing mind. With many wonderful friends along the perilous journey of a lifetime!

The details in the drawings are amazing. Some had said scenes out of order, but agree if hadn’t seen the movies, might be confusing. One of those situations where two things are happening at the same time so kinda hard to write about it. Either way, any Star Wars fan would enjoy this book. A couple details missing but, it’s a picture story book so they can’t fit in everything. I definitely recommend.

I read this with my children. My 6 year old had been hearing about Star Wars from his class mates but isn't emotionally ready for the movie. This was a great way to share the full original movie trilogy but in a format that isn't so overwhelming.
The book follows the movies very well and the illustrations are like paintings from movie scenes.

This book is just like the movies and the artwork totally makes it come alive! There’s pictures on every single page and the book is beautiful just for display! I highly recommend! Great to read on your own or with older kids. I wouldn’t recommend toddlers because the pages are more fragile.

3.5 stars really. What did you like about the book? This is a pretty complete, though simplified, retelling of the original Star Wars trilogy in a language set for young readers, arranged in order of the films but in short (about 15 pages each) sections/chapters (each written by a different author so tone varies a bit throughout) with large and minimal text surrounded by large color images from the movie (illustrations which are rather good and feel like digitally altered film stills). There are direct quotes from the films and while many scenes have to be skipped for brevity the book does cover all 3 storylines fairly well in the course of its 298 glossy pages.
Anything you didn’t like about it? Any die-hard fans of the Original Version of the Original Films may be disappointed that Anakin's ghost-body at the very end is that of the Anakin from the prequel trilogy.
To whom would you recommend this book? This is one to hand to kids (or parents of same) who want to experience again the original Star Wars trilogy movies nearly verbatim (most scenes anyways) without actually popping in the dvds. It's not a necessary purchase as the pictures are nothing new and the text is merely a direct retelling. However, it would be a great way to introduce star wars to little ones in a more easily digestible format (the short chapters).

18 stories from the original Star Wars trilogy are presented along with full color scenes from the films on every page. The stories are based on the story and screenplay by George Lucas and written by various authors that write for children such as Tracey West, Rebecca Schmidt, and Trey King. The large white print on heavy black high quality paper adds to the mystic of the stories. The stories act as detailed summaries of the films for younger readers and Star Wars fans. Twelve main characters with their names and photos introduce the text and is followed by a Table of Contents. Chapter titles are in darker ink that often does not have enough contrast with the black background to be easily read. Highly recommend for young Star Wars fans.

Great book with beautiful illustrations for the young StarWars fan! Took turns reading this aloud with my 11 year old in parts (which was easy to do as it was broken down into mini stories), with he and dad both piping in with the direct quotes from the movies. It would be easy enough for someone a bit younger or a not so avid reader, as it was simplified versions of the original movies.

This is a well written book style summary of the original "Star Wars" trilogy. The author did a good job of including the best one-liners from the series. The art work it scenes from the movie rendered in a painterly style. My five-year-old and I enjoyed reading this together. Of all the star wars texts for kids I've read so far, this has been my favorite.

One of the best Star Wars books we have found yet for our little Star Wars fan. Great illustrations and the story is broken down into reasonable sized chapters that we can read one or two along with other picture books at bed time. The writing is interesting that Mom and Dad don't get bored or sick of reading it.

This book is great for when you have a Star Wars craving but no tv and no time. It really draws your attention to certain parts of the movie you might've overlooked. The artwork is amazing. One problem... A misprint! It's on page 5 of an unusual hiding place.

It really is just a condensed version of all of the movies. My stepson loves saying the lines he has memorized from watching the movies over and over. I really like that they took stills from the movies and made them more cartoon like. It's a beautiful book that we love to read as a family.

Great way to introduce Star Wars to a new generation. Each of the three movies is broken into several easy-to-read short stories. Braiden and I read 2-3 before bed time. Each story is self-contained enough for bed time.

I thought the original trilogy stories was an amazing story with the same characters as the movie. Though it lacked a few details relating to the book and the movie, It still showed suspense and action directly from the classical movies.
