Drawing from the many examples of worship in Scripture—both true and false—the daily devotionals this year focus on the role of worship in the believer's life and in the grand scheme of creation. Readers will be encouraged to give their lives for the glory of the King and to continually press toward deeper and purer praise.

I did not think it was possible to really delve into the sovereignty of God in short passages that take a few minutes a day to read, but he has done that. Hopefully, as in my case, these tastes will make one more hungry for time to take in the Word alone.
A wonderful devotional.. A source of inspiration and spiritual strength!!
This is my third devotional by Chris Tiegreen, and I recommend it with my whole heart.. Every day you have a wonderful Bible word plus a portion of the Scripture to read about..
Then it is beautiful crafted!! It would also make a great gift..
I still can remember as I went to my book shop to pick up my copy.. They complimented my copy because of the beautiful crafting..
First things first, this book changed my life. I began reading it at the beginning of the year, at a time that I really needed guidance in my devotions. It had gotten to the point that I was doing them out of habit and not out of a desire to glean from the Word and learn. Within the first week of starting this devotional, I was convicted, inspired, passionate, and joyful. It even drove me to start a blog so that I could share the encouragement that I had been getting with everyone else. The Lord used this devotional to take me through crucial passages in the Bible. God taught me so much about the importance of a pure heart and mind, seeing sin for what it is, and worshiping Him with a thankful heart. I recommend this devotional to EVERYONE! I received it so well because I wanted to change, I wanted to hear from the Lord and grow closer to Him through His word. If you take the year to go through it like I did, prepare for the Lord to speak straight to your heart. It wasn't always easy to have my heart stirred up to change, but it was necessary. God is good, and He will bless those that seek Him. His word, in the form of the Bible is the one physical thing in this world that we MUST cling to and never let go.
"Salvation isn't complete until we praise Him for His mercy, daily, passionately, honestly. We were bought at a price for a reason."
"A heart poured out in praise results in a heart filled with purpose."
"The ways of this world hold nothing for us anymore. Our conformity is over. Transformation must begin."
"Everyday repeat John's words: He must become greater, I must become less."
"God has a purpose for the things we go through, and it's always good."
"...we want to justify a certain level of independence from our Creator. We are masters of subtle rebellion."
"To be in love with God is to be in love with the things of God."
