*THIS BOOK IS INTENDED FOR ADULT READERS.*
This is a steamy paranormal shifter fantasy romance series with an HEA and no cliffhangers. Fans of Zoe Chant, Terry Bolryder, Harmony Raines and T.S. Joyce may like this shapeshifter series.
Coming to the end of another series by Candace Ayers always leaves me with a bittersweet smile. I love seeing all of the happy couples content in their HEA, but I will miss reading about their journies. I am excited for the next series, Cybermates! ♡
This is an OK shifter romance, but I just didn't believe they were in love. They were definitely in lust, but I just didn't fell a true love connection. Yes, I know, the shifter mate bond -- but I just didn't buy it, especially since Grace wasn't a shifter.
The story was also too short to have as much character development as I'd like. Very little backstory was provided on either Konstantin or Grace -- I really needed more on both of them. Maybe, if there had been a little more information on them, I MIGHT have been able to believe they were in love.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
This is Konstantin and Grace's story . Grace is worried over her brother and hasn't heard from him since his last email and is now looking for him and needs help . Kon has secrets that if they become uncover just might ruin his team and all he ever wanted . Get ready to be pulled into this one so fast you will not want to put it down ! You will laugh and snicker with some of what is said and happens ! I adore a story that has everything in it and this author has done it ! Well written and strongly recommended to all !!
Book five in the series brings Kon and Grace's story. The author once again brings strong characters and an interesting and entertaining story. I had a few chuckles with some of the dialogue along the way. The scenes are described perfectly , helping to bring the story to life along with the cast of supporting characters. It's another well written book, moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
It was funny, i was so existed to read about the one of all 6 bears that lease was mentioned in the 4 books i read b4. I loved it❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. But now that i have read all 5 books...WHERE IS SERG'S BOOK???? WE DONT KNOW HOW HIM & HANNA MET? I would love to read his book!!!☺☺☺☺💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Being part of a group of polar bear shifters who now live in the Florida Keys thanks to being exiled from Siberia wasn’t so bad. Unfortunately Konstantin new his time was coming to an end. He has kept his secret so he could just be treated like one of the guys that he now refers to as his brothers. He was promised to a female when he was a child, not only that he has to return home and become the king and ruler of the polar bears. Finding Grace and realizing she is his mate was not in the plan. All he wants is to be able to have his own life, but can he give up Grace? Trouble arrives in the form of a horrendous females claiming to be his betrothed. Konstantin has found graces brother, now that that job is done he feels he must leave. But there is trouble around every corner. I loved this story about Konstantin and Grace. A really great ending that brings you to the beginning of another series starting with graces brother.
Konstantin is the last single member of his team, or so his teammates think. In fact, he's the crown prince and betrothed since childhood. If he does not fulfill his royal obligation, his team will be disbanded, disowned and exiled. Unhappy but accepting of his fate, Kon cherishes his time as a commoner but then he meets Grace. Grace is looking for her brother and hires the firm to find him. He knows she's his mate but foolishly rolls over rather than man up. Kon decides once they find her brother he'll fulfill his royal duty. His fiancee shows up unannounced however and the cat is out of the bag and everyone's upset as his fiancee belittles and demeans them all. When Grace is taken by her brothers enemies, Kon realizes he'll give up everything for her. Great way to end the series. Even better there's a spinoff which kicks off with Grace's brother.
The last book in the P.O.L.A.R. series, is the longest of the bunch, although still a quick read. Grace has come to Florida in search of her missing wolf shifter brother. Hiring the P.O.L.A.R. team to find him, she meets Konstantine, the Bear shifter Prince in hiding. Kon realizes Grace is his mate, but he is already promised to another in an arranged marriage, and getting out of that can cost both him and his team everything…
This was an enjoyable, and fast read, that features a few cameo appearances from previous book mc’s. Kon is a more mysterious character than the others, and it is quickly explained why. There’s plenty of romance, danger, and more, in this quick read, shifter romance.
Recommended for those who enjoy paranormal romance.
Thank you Candace Ayers, I really enjoyed this series. It has a lot of shifter romance, with some mate problems of course, us girls like to see the male squirm and work for what they want. Plus some action. All wrapped up with excellent writing. Having just read an extremely intense series this was just what I needed. It has a sort of follow up series I have just found out, Cybermates, which I'm happy to say I have the 1st 2 of. Wont start those yet as like a complete series when I read. This series is well worth anyone's time to read, has romance, shifters, action and fun. What more can you need
Nomad Grace Low is worried about her brother, Gray, who missed their last scheduled e-mail date and his house has been trashed. Wanting to stay below police radar out of habit and just in case, Grace goes to P.O.L.A.R. for help and Konstantin doesn’t waste any time jumping up first to help since she reminds him of honeycakes from home.
As much as Konstantin and the team is aware Grace is Konstantin’s mate he’s aware that he doesn’t go home, mate his betrothed and ascend to the throne it could bring consequences to the team. Meanwhile, Konstantin’s betrothed sweeps into town grating on the entire team and the people after Gray find Grace instead. Rating: 4stars
Kon has been living a double life. He knows what awaits for him back home but in the meantime, he is enjoying himself and living n the moment. That all changes when he meets Grace. He knows she is his mate but he is duty-bound.
Grace has been alone most of her life. She is on the search for her brother when she finds not only great people and a great town but also Kon. I love that we got to watch Grace go from the person who is alone to being happy and welcomed by these amazing people.
Konstantin is a prince really is a prince. But he's been hiding himself among other shifters and his mate just walked in the door looking for her brother...he'll save her brother...and wants to claim her but doesn't want to forsake the men that have become his brothers
This was the perfect way to finish out the series on these polar bears. Konstantin and Grace didn't have a smooth path, but there were plenty of good and funny moments along the way. I was so happy with the ending, and that there is a spin off series in the same world. I'm not ready to leave it yet.
This is a very good, well written, short, Shifter/Human romance. The characters are well done for a short story and lovable and interesting. Grace was raised off grid and well trained. She lost contact with her brother and goes to P.O.L.A.R for help. There she meets Kon and they have many hurdles to overcome.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Grace’s search for her brother leads to unexpected family ties and a passionate connection with Konstantin, a royal polar bear willing to forsake everything for love. The stakes feel higher here with political intrigue and personal sacrifice, while the romance is both tender and powerful. This book stands out with its emotional resonance and satisfying conclusion to the series arc.
Absolutely loved the ending of this series! Konstantine is in such of a predicament and when his FIANCÉE (horrible women) showed up and I love the way his relationship turns out with Grace?
The brotherhood of the POLAR group and the sisterhood of the women in this series is SO GOOD. I am so glad this story ended like it did!
Don't start to read this if you have things to do, trust me I made that mistake. This book is it the final of one series now I'm off to read the spin off and I'm so excited
I started reading books by this author because she was recommended for readers that enjoy T.S. Joyce, but I think these books lack some of the humor and for some reason have all of these scenes with OM and OW that don't really add much to the story.
I think this was probably one of the best in the series. I liked Kon and I liked Grace. She was more kick ass than the other girls and I liked that about her. I also liked Kon because hes a prince.
I really enjoyed this, it was not at all what I expecting. The characters for together so well. I laughed so hard. I recommend this Author and series, you will truly enjoy it.
Candace Ayers makes getting eaten by a polar bear fun . I never knew that big bad bears could be so loveable . I don't think I'll ever be ably to watch animal planet again without giggling !
He was royalty and the next king, so he wasn't looking for his mate except when she came into the office asking for help he knew she was his mate. She was living off grid and travel, but when her brother didn't email her, she knew something was wrong.
Each book can stand alone but it is best to read them in order. I liked Grace- she was a strong female that did not hold back her feelings. She also took things as they were even if it made her sad. She has been a nomad her whole life and I like how now she has girlfriends With these new friends she wants roots. Dmitry has to make some life changing decisions that affect not oy him but the whole team. The drama with the arranged mate was quite the drama. I liked Gray and excited to read his story in the next series! This was a great series !
