The book is called Strangers at the Stables. It is written by Michelle Bates who is the author of several books from this series. The genre of this book is mystery and adventure fiction. I chose this book because I love spending time with horses and riding them. I like reading about horses, and I enjoyed this book.

This story is happening in a stable called Sandy Lane Stables. The main characters are Rosie, Nick, Sarah and Tom. Rosie is a girl who learns how to ride horses at the stable. Nick and Sarah are the owners of the stable. Tom is a boy who goes to the stable to ride horses. The owners of the stable need to go away to America because one of their parents is sick. Strange things are happening at the stable when they are away. For example, one girl falls off a horse and breaks her leg because a car nearly smashed into the horse. Tom, Rosie and other friends are helping at the stable with the riding lessons and the horse care. The characters are evolving throughout the story because they're changing their attitude about things that are happening.

I really loved this book because I got interested in the plot and liked the characters. The story was believable and exciting. The characters, even the animals, seemed real, it felt like a true story. There was one sad moment but the whole story was happy. The story made me think that one should never lie and do bad things to others even if you don't like them. My favorite part was at the end since it was quite intriguing. I loved the book as it was fun, exciting, mysterious, adventurous, interesting and unexpected. I would recommend it to people who like horses or mystery and adventure stories. I would recommend this book for ages between 9 and 14. I would rate this book 10 out of 10.
