"Her poetry comes from her heart and resonates in the mind of a reader like an epiphany." ~ Delhi Wire

"This book will expand your mind and deepen your thoughts on the way you see the world." ~ Swati, 3rd June 2019

These knots that do bind,
Make thee one of a kind.

Knots is a collection of poetry and prose about love and heartbreak, tragedy and grief, survival and loss. It's a journey through the numerous knots that we tie in life, and the ones we tangle and untangle with. It explores the realities of mental illness & suicide, social taboos & violence against women, pain & darkness, self love & healing in all its naked glory. The rhythm of Knots resonates directly with the poet's heart, conveying to the readers that there is a way to untangle every knot in life, but sometimes, some of these knots are what we are made of.

Didn't like any of the poems. They are so clichè and repetitive. None of the lines were genuine as I felt like I have read the same lines numerous times before in various other poetry collections. These so called poems are available everywhere in the internet. Just go to an Instagram poetry page, they are just there. Damn repetitive.

KNOTS is a collection of free verses depicting various human emotions - love, pain, heartbreak, fantasia, lost, healing, darkness.
The cover of the book is simple, yet attractive and carries many emotions knotted with it. Though the poems lack rhyme but they are rich in emotions. The quotes and small introduction before every poem adds to the beauty of the book. The poet’s hold on her words is amazing.
My favourite poem is WILL YOU EVER FORGIVE ME? A mother seeking forgiveness from her unborn daughter, whom the mother could not save.
Another one is YOU ARE MY RAINBOW. Poetess has beautifully described that the most beautiful memories never go dull with time.
The collection makes you smile at times and wince at another.
This book is a treat for poetry readers. For her debut work poet Deblina's work is commendable.

Book :Knots
Author: Deblina Bhattacharya
Favourite poem: Rock bottom and fractured fairytales

Review:
This book is a vivid collection of well thought out poems depicting nature of human emotions in a wide variety.
If you are an poetry addict you will love this book.
The book is divided into seven sections:
1) HEARTBREAK.
2) LOVE.
3) FANTASIA.
4) DARKNESS.
5) PAIN.
6) LOST.
7) HEALING.

Now to get into phonetics I loved the end rhyme theme of the poem.
There were classic examples of the ABAB rhyme scheme. The book has a perfect balance of rhyme and rhythm almost made me recite every poem aloud. I fell in love with darkness section. That’s the beauty of this book it has a little piece for everyone.

Knots is a poem anthology written by Deblina Bhattacharya. It is her debut poem collection. It is divided into 7 stages, viz
.
1.  Heartbreak
2.  Love
3.  Fantasia
4.  Darkness
5.  Pain
6.  Lost
7.  Healing
.
Overall feel of the book: The anthology has been written in an eloquent and graceful manner and each section represents a different emotional stage. The poems under each section are contemporary writings and bring forth the personality of the poet as a person who feels too much to contain her emotions in her heart. Rarely does an anthology capture the true essence of love and here the poet also manages to encapsulate the dark side of love. That love can be both sunny and thunderstorms embroiled in each other’s embrace is acutely wrought by her poems. The poet even explores darker themes like female infanticide, assault and crimes of passion. The multifaceted version of love has given rise to the cornucopia of poems that is Knots.
.
The ones that stood out to me: Some of the poems made me feel how a romantic movie makes me feel good and emotional at the same time. The notable ones were “Under The Night Sky”, “The Moment I knew” and “Friendship”. There were some in particular that had a very dark theme to them that got under my skin and left dark traces on my heart, like “Our Eternal Love”, “Ghost” and “Rare”. Kudos to the author who has birthed such beautiful and heart wrenching collection of words formed into poems.

When I saw the cover and caption "These Knots That Do Bind Make Thee One Of A Kind" I assumed the book consists of a collection love poetries, but description gave another different perspective so grabbed this book to know. After reading felt cover page of book very apt/perfect for the poetry collection in book.
It's a collection of to intense emotional poems written in simple language. People who have failed love stories/cheated in love, whatever the reason can easily relate /connect.
What makes this book different after reading a nice poem author has a nice paragraph/ sentence/ words for the readers. Both the poems and paragraphs are food for thought and treat for readers.
I liked the author's choice of poetries and presentation a lot. It's a nice collection of poems and would recommend it all.

"Stab me in the heart with your pen, and let me bleed dry the ink of my story."

-Deblina Bhattacharya

Knots is a collection of poetry and prose. The author has taken topics like love, grief, heartbreak and fate, and had woven beautiful descriptions with her pen. The book has touched various phases of one’s life- sometimes they are incidents that are soothing to the heart where’s there are some that will leave the reader Misty-eyed with a heavy heart.

As the blurb beautifully describes, “it exploded the realities of mental illness and suicide, social taboos and violence against women, pain and darkness, self love and healing in all it’s nacked glory.” The poems delve deep into the pit of one’s heart and explore the darkness.

When I was reading the book, it sometimes felt as if the poems are speaking to my soul. The author has beautifully portrayed the emotional waves that a person goes through while facing the harsh atrocities of life. It also describes how, while fighting with the demons inside one’s self, one learns to come to terms with it and embrace life as it is.

"I had broken wings, yet I had the audacity to dream of soaring."

The book gives a lesson on how we should never stop looking for the greater picture when the world seems to be crumbling down around us. We should never let the society slay our dreams and bury them inside the deepest parts of our heart; because when everything seems to be going wrong, it is our dream, our vision, that will guide us forward and provide us the courage to wait for the morning light.

The second half of the book was really beautiful. Some of the quotes and poems were giving me goosebumps, and I will surely go back to them time and again.

Even though all the poems were not my favourite, the positive aspects of the book outweigh them. I would like to read more works of the author.

Overall, I had a good time reading this book. Recommended to everyone, especially women and to all those broken souls.

K N O T S by Deblina Bhattacharya.

This book has got a pretty cover.
This book has also got a beautiful content.
The Poems are divided into Various Sections like
Love, Heartbreak, Pain, etc.
I completed the book in one sitting. I don't like much poetry because of a lot of personification. But This one isn't like that. This kept me sticked to the content. I liked the love ones and the heartbreak ones the most.
.
One thing I didn't liked (just my personal opinion not any writer's fault) is The Self Harming poems. They encourage suicidal behaviours. Although they are beautifully written but that's the problem. The beautifully they are written the higher they affect the reader.
You didn't create life so you should not think of destroying it.
And these are just my personal opinion. I know this genre is liked a lot worldwide.

My Ratings for the book 4/5 .

I think there is nothing more comforting than reading a book because opening a book can be a welcome escape into another world. Recently I read this book KNOTS which is the debut poetry book of Deblina Bhattacharya. This young poets writes about love, heartbreak, betrayal and healing in this book. KNOTS is a unique collection of poems are heartbreaking, inspiring, moving and powerful . Poet expresses how she struggles hard with her emotions to deal with heartbreak and how she stays strong when it is the hardest thing to do for her. Her poems express how she deals with her own memories of good and bad experiences in life while going through heartbreak. There is a message in her poems that how love can endure even heartbreak. She makes us realise that lots of people struggle with various different things in life and that we are never alone. She finds the power within to rescue herself in darker days and thats what I found truly inspiring.

Some of the poems are deeply melancholic, but there’s something beautifully hopeful about the tenderness with which Deblina expresses her pain. She draws us into her world and tells us that it’s okay to feel however we feel; we are not alone and we have the power to heal ourselves.
The poetic way Deblina engages us to look at the beauty in life. Life isn’t all sunshine and roses but belief in the better future can see us through. Her poems are both tender and powerful at the same time.

My favourite poem in this book is ' Fractured Fairy tales'. I think what I really like about it is it’s absolute authenticity with which it is written.

I am impressed with the writing style of the author. The cover image goes well with the poems in the book and title is apt.

RATING: 5/5 Stars. I would highly recommend this book to everyone who is looking for a comfort read. I believe her soothing poems will inspire hope in the loneliest or even the most despairing souls.

I would suggest that you travel with it when you're on a solo adventure and you will find this book incredibly comforting.

A collection of poetry or rather Prose in which subjects of love, emotions and social issues are mentioned. The author has done a good job of catapulting her thoughts into words. It has 7 sections and has quotes at the beginning of each section. The quotes are attributed to famous people like Rumi, Lao Tzu etc. The section starts from heartbreak and very appropriately end with healing. The other five sections are Love, fantasy, darkness, pain and lost. Lost is the smallest section with just one prose - Show me the way.

I prefer positive texts so the last section was the most liked part personally. An ode to her and uncaged are what I resonate with.
The poetess has used simple language and the book was an easy read. I could decipher the meaning despite me having less inclination towards the poetry genre. The flow doesn’t seem artificial and has human element to it.

In the prose 'Out of sight out of mind', I agree with the title however I did not like usage of double negative (Ain’t no good) however poetic license allows some leeway with grammar.

The cover is apt and in sync with the topic of the book. Print quality is not good and the page quality could have been better. The formatting could have been better with page 93 and 134 being completely empty. The publishers own name is cropped off. Their logo on the back of the book has social media icons for some unfathomable reason.

Considering it is a debut novel, I would say it is a tremendous job. This book can be read at least once, whether you like poetry genre or not. You will understand the subject and resonate too with some of them.

This is nice collection of prose and poetry. The deeper u sink in the ocean of thoughts the more u fall in love with the picture of emotions. This is what happened to me when i engulf with knots.

What a blend. Author tried to show various types emotions, pain, grief that every soul on earth goes through...The wistful wishes, mental illness, suicide decisions, social taboos, darkness of deeper fear, jilted pain, hue of love life, vestiges of scars, smothering of freedom, paradoxes life, complexity of understandings, atrocity violence, mother grief of loosing the unborn baby, siblings love, the void part fathers

We as a human never know what will happen next or what is written in our fate but we all go through the varieties of knots layer by layer.life gives u all aspects of lessons. It's upto u how u wanna make it or break it. How masterly u could try to untangle or let to be tangled. If we think we can come out from the disaster then we will surely but some incidents never let us untangle which i think it will.fadeaway on its own with time.

The cover of the book is just way awesome. Talking about the paper quality, font size is A+. Vocabs used in is bit high and i love it . Lovely rythmic layers line by line. I wanna accolade author Deblina for bringing such commendable writeup.

My favorite pick:
1.jilted
2.seasons of love
3.superman
4.At war

I recommend this to those who is poetry lover or anybody who have slightest of love for poetry, definitely this will give jolts who read by heart n feelings.

'Knots' by Deblina Bhattacharya is one of the best poetry books I've read in recent times. From the first page till the last, her poems had me in a trance. Each and every one of it was soul-stirring. I've read more than 500 books (poetry included) and I haven't quite come across such a beautifully written poetry book like this one. I could relate with her poems on a deeper/personal level. Sometimes, I took my eyes off the screen, closed my eyes and let those lines, emotions, and feelings sink-in. I didn't read this in a single sitting and I wouldn't advise you to do that either. It's a book that should be devoured slowly, little bit little until nothing is left of it. When I first got the book, I made it a point to read a couple of poems every single day, a decision that eventually made the whole reading experience more enjoyable. I half expected the compilation of the poems to be cheesy and I love how the book proved me wrong. The choice of words, rhyme scheme, the structure, the intent, and emotions - everything was just perfect. After a long hiatus, I tried my hand at reading poetry earlier this year. Tried out a variety of books, but I really couldn't connect with any of them. Unlike this gem, which I found it to be amazing.

Post-completion of the book, I was brimming with happiness, feeling proud of the fact that I decided to get this book. Absolutely worth every penny and I don't think you could get a quality poetry book like this one for this price in Amazon or anywhere.

I'm gonna keep it in my Kindle Library forever and would re-read the poems and take refuge in them whenever I'm feeling low in life.

I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for your next book. And if it's a poetry book like this one, I don't think there'd be any soul much happier than me.

God Bless you Deblina.

Good poetry work

Despite being a debut, deblina depicted her poetic work in a really awesome way. The title of the book is so apt and that itself will describe the bound of a relationship. The book depicts the vivid expressions, feelings, emotions in a relationship. There are a few things that are penetrated deep in my heart ❤️.
Quoting few popular quotes in between added much flavor to it. (Such as“The marks humans leave are too often scars.” - John Green)
Among all, I liked the section Pain the most.
Fantastic effort and a great attempt by a debut author.

◆Knots is debut book of poems by Deblina Bhattacharya.
Cover of book is black and minimalistic which I always love. And so is the title of book.
.
●It is collection of many emotions of human like Heartbreaks, Friendship, Love, Fantasy, etc.
.
●While reading poems I felt the all my emotions which I already experienced in my life.
Some personal favourite of mine were A sister's love, Dreams, and love.
Love specially is not what we just see in today's generation like a relationship of boy and girl but, love of family for mother, father, and sister.
Poems were simple to understand covering many topics including some society issues too.
.
●Language was good and some poems can be made into songs too.

KNOTS by Deblina Bhattacharya is a compilation of heartfelt poems. It is published by KDP and fantiXx publication. This poetry collection is all about those poems which are bound to make you feel better, smile and even put you to a deeper thought process. Some poems have a rhythm and some are written in free verse style. The format is such that a short quote providing a gist of the poem comes prior to it, followed by a beautiful poetry.

The book is divided into multiple parts, titles to which are - Heartbreak, Love, Fantasia, Darkness, Pain, Lost, healing.

As you may already guess it, each theme has various poems revolving upon that topic. Which might be from people from different walks of life feeling that same thing. Deblina has beautifully dwelled into different perspectives and brought it on the paper. That has been very well done.

Few poems themed on love are from the perspective of lovers, what they feel and how they go through it, have been well depicted. Few were about falling in love, they have been very appropriately described. A handful of them are dedicated to a mother and a a father, a sibling and a friend; these felt really pure and from the heart. Other were on dreams, sadness, hopelessness and pain. The final one I read gave me a vibe of resurrection.

Throughout this book, one will feel a whirlpool of emotions and feelings rising and not just the entire book, but every single poem by her, has the capability to make you feel a lot in so less.

Deblina has an enriched vocabulary and that's visible with the quality usage of words at the right places.

The purpose behind her poems is very human and anyone can easily feel what she has written, with ease. As I said they are written from the heart.

The vividness of the poems is such that one would literally dive into them and rather feel that they are there, with those fictional characters, feeling the same way like them.

She has also jotted down on topics on women, society and mental health. It is really bold and empowering to read her work.

This book is for anyone who loves reading poems, the quality of the poems is such that it won't disappoint you but in some way : Enrich and enlighten you with delightful perspectives.

Illustrations and the cover could have been better.

To sum up, it is good emotional roller-coaster, page turner and good poetry pick.

On the scale of 5, I will rate it 3.8 stars.

Knots is an amazing collection of contemporary poetry that addresses and discusses various emotions as well as issues. They are written in eloquently lucid manner which gives vivid expressions and thoughts. Sectioned into 7 different topics, these poetry will have a significant effect on your conscience.
1) HEARTBREAK.
2) LOVE.
3) FANTASIA.
4) DARKNESS.
5) PAIN.
6) LOST.
7) HEALING.
Each of these highlights intense and powerful emotions such as being in love, caring for someone deeply, trusting a person, heartbreaks and most importantly about the mental illness that are not expressed and are kept bottled up only to suffer silently. This is the debut work yet her writing suggests she is well proficient and is more than capable of expressing her feelings dauntlessly.

There are a lot of contemporary poetry collections being published these days but I found this book to be quite different from others. That is because of the poet’s direct approach to the age-old taboos which are still frowned upon if spoken publicly, the restrictions and judgments regarding the freedom of women which is an on-going confab among generations and many more.

My favorite part is the Fantasia section. There she talks about dreams and just simply pondering on what do I really want from my life and how a person can find solace in the pages of book. I really connected to this part in particular.
Finally, I would definitely recommend this book. Honestly, Knots is a short book and can be completed in just single sitting but the impact on reader’s mind is exceptionally positive. This book will expand your mind and deepen your thoughts on the way you see the world and it is amazing to see the new authors being gallant to voice some of the serious topics of the society and ultimately helping in the biggest way possible. Some of the poetry in this collection are dark and can be a trigger to few of the readers so keep that in mind when you are reading this. The cover is eye-catching, simple but eye-catching nonetheless.

This book is one of those books which you start reading and you don't want to finish it. The poems have such a deep impact on your heart. It touches your heart and various issues such as heartbreak, love, fantasia, darkness, pain, loss and healing. The cover of the book is simple yet beautiful. Language of the poems is easy. The writing style of the author is very good. The poem under section “Love” are my personal favourite. The poems under this section are not only dedicated to only lover but also to family and friendship. My favourite poems from this section are “She is The One” and “Friendship”. You can literally feel them. Each and every poem written connects directly to your heart and each section has its own charm. The poems makes you stop and think. Few poems even bring nostalgia. Each poem has ability to evoke emotions in you. Most of the poems lack rhyme. The quotes written before the start of each poem makes the book even more interesting. The author has done very good work and the topics choose by her are related to women, mental health etc. You can feel that some of these poems are written for you and they relate so well to you. My favourite lines from the book are :
“ Each scar on our soul is a reminder of the lessons we learnt.”
“ You don't need to be fear the monsters lurking under your bed. The only monster you need to be fearful of is the one buried deep within you own self.”
The book is a debut work by the author and kudos to the author for writing such a good book. This book will always be close to my heart. Overall, the book is full of meaningful and emotional poems. I will recommend this book to everyone esp. If you are a poetry lover or an emotional person, give this book a try. I am sure you won't regret reading it.
Recommended : Yes, to everyone but it is a must for poetry lovers.

This book is divided into 7 segments, that is-
love, heartbreak, fantasia, pain, darkness, lost and healing.
And before each poem, there's small notes assigned to them which enhances the beauty of the poem more.
The words spoke so much louder for me without meddling with tough uneasy words. Some authors always in the name of poetry conjure "exemplary" words that people need to sit on with a dictionary to read, this poem was exceptional on this. Easy words but beautiful meaning.
I loved the foreword section with so many references and thoughts. The cover of the book is simple but the colour scheme is exceptional. Also the name of the book and the reasoning behind it, I feel is adequate.
My favourite poem would be "first date" , "red", "uncaged", and "with you" words touched me. I was in constant turmoil while reading the book. Feeling, loving, anger, angst, sadness etc.
What about I change about the book?
Maybe the fact that only the female was crying for their love lost (in the heartache section), I didn't feel good about that. I want the females to be stronger, YES they can cry and venge but the fact that the females are crying and the men enjoying., nope. If even one of them were about a male crying over, it would've been more cooler but I did enjoyed the book to the fullest.
It was a treat to read. I would strongly recommend everyone to read the book once.

     "These knots that do bind,
Make thee one of a kind."

Title : Knots

Author: Deblina Bhattacharya

Publisher: Fanatixx Publication

Plot: Knots is a collection of poetry and prose, about ups and downs of life and relationships. It portrayed many sides of our life;love, heartbreak , suppression of women, mental health and taboos about it. It not only pictures couples or young lovers, but also the love between a person and his / her family, dreams, friends and love to own self.

My take :

The cover of the book is artistic and attractive. It has seven parts; Heartbreak,Love,Fantasia,Darkness,Pain,
Lost,Healing. Each part has beautiful quotes and verses, describing emotions in simple yet deep, meaningful language. Some of the verses have rhythm, some doesn't. But each line is relatable, pierces deep in mind.Every quote is thought provoking. It feels that author poured her soul in the book and it touches the readers soul, creating a bond between author and reader.
For many of us ,it's hard to express our emotions and feelings in words."Knots" does exactly that for us.
I loved each quote and poem, but my favourite line is -
" You don't need to fear the monsters lurking under your bed. The only monster you need to be fearful of is the one buried deep within your own self."

!!## A fine debut. Excellent work. ##!!

# A lovely collection of poem and prose which is divided into seven major parts.
* Heartbreak
* Love
* Fantasia
* Darkness
* Pain
* Lost
* Healing
# The major part starts with a famous quote with a picture illustrating the topic.
# Before each poem, there are two or three line quotes, which gives a hint about the poem or prose.
# The author tried a different style of poetry with simple and understandable English. The vocabulary was good, as for poems it was not too rhyming.
# It's a quick read and could be completed in a few sittings.
# The emotions while reading doesn't stick to a specific line of happy or sad, when the pages are turned, the thoughts will swing in a different world.
# All poem has a unique excitement.
# Many untold issues were conveyed thoughtfully.
Includes about,
Father, mother, friends, siblings, husband and wife relationships,
Women's dreams, pain, freedom and menstruation,
Soul, life, passion, salvation, betrayal, suicide.
#Every feeling was delivered in beautiful lines.
# It's not a book that's read once and kept aside, re-reading it anytime give a fresh appreciation and different perceptions.
# Few lines delivered the identical meaning but written in another style.
# Overall, knots is a book to unfold some thoughts that are entangled within our mind and to create a new knot to think over.

To begin with I really liked the concept of the book. The colour combination, and the finish of the cover is so good. The fonts and the graphics on the cover links this book to spirituality. Honestly, I really loved this cover. The tagline is perfect and describes the book and its concept perfectly.
The book ‘Knots’ is a collection of proses and poetries which explores the reality of human life. From love to heartbreak, from tragedy to survival and till loss and grief this book covers all the emotion of a hum being. It also explores taboos like mental illness, suicide and violence against women.
The language used by the author for poetry and proses are very easy, hence it can be referred by new readers too. For the poetries the flow and the writing is very appreciable. I really loved the way the author has expressed her views and thoughts. The quotes and the proses have always been my favourite. And the proses and quotes used in this book are so beautiful. Every quote is unique and can directly touch your heart. The pictures in between the pages and the division in parts make this book more reliable.
It is really appreciable how the author has written this book. Easy language, relatable quotes and proses and interesting cover makes this book a must read. If you love quotes, proses and poetries than this book is a must read for you.

This book has as intriguing cover , going very well with the title. After reading this book , I must say that the author has a verily deep understanding of human emotions. Each poem , each prose is filled with raw emotions. The thing I most liked about this book was the transition from one emotion to another , from one feeling to another. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give 8.5 rating . And I must say the writing style is really applaudable because it's easy , connecting and very much understandable. You don't have to use too much of your brain to understand what the poem is trying to convey. I loved each poem very much but for me the prose just killed it ,prose were really good and I connected very with them. When I read this book , it made me think about my emotions. I realized I can feel this way too. I felt a different kind of sorrow while reading this book. For me Emotional , Worth it , New are the words which best describe this book. From start to the very end this book does not disappoint. If you are a kind of person who understands emotions then do give this book a try. It's worth you time and money. It's is an emotional rollercoaster, atleast it was for me. Go give it a try.

"Go find yourself a book, Lose yourself in it's divine incantations, and you'll realize that the new home for your heart has been found."
These lines from this book will stay with me forever. The book which is divided into several chapters like Heartbreak, Pain, Darkness, Fantasia etc deals with the different aspects of emotional turbulence that one goes through in their life. The emotions deal from love to pain to loss to depression to even murder of one's own self. The naming of the book succeeds when all these emotions are shown as knots tied in our life and how one knot leads to another one making it an unique journey for each and every one. The emotions remain the same for us all bit how they unfold the knots in each different person's life is vividly expressed in this book. The book is enriched with the author's vocabulary as well as her way to see life and emotions as interrelated to each other. Beyond words, the calligraphy in the book also bears the similar theme that the words carry in it.
Overall, a really nice read with words that were "Helping me stay afloat when I went astray."

Knots is a collection of poems which have been grouped together based on the main topic. The book has seven sections: Heartbreak, Love, Fantasia, Darkness, Pain, Lost, and Healing.

I liked the way the poems were written, the idea and emotions were brought forward well. When I read the poems, I recited them to myself in my head and I really liked how they sounded. The only thing that bothered me was that the tone and breakups of the lines within multiple poems suddenly shifted, throwing off the narration.

I wasn't fond of the first two sections, I have read way too many poems about love and heartbreak and hence these did not seem completely different. They did not engage my attention. But the rest of the sections were pretty good. I especially liked the sections Darkness and Healing. The author has written poems in those sections beautifully.

Every poem in the book is prefaced with one or two lines about the poem's topic. It was like an introduction to the poem. I really liked that format.

Conclusion: if you like poetry and want to read about raw emotions, this book is for you.
