Hitta's Tea Maker
I screamed as I tried to run past him, but his big warm hand palmed my belly before he slammed me back against the wall. It wasn’t hard enough to hurt, but it was hard enough to get my attention, not to mention the fact that he was crowding my space in a very threatening way.
He was so strong, his hand still flat against my stomach was holding me against the wall while his other arm rested on the wall just above my head. He leaned in close, trapping me with his big stout body.
Tears filled my eyes when his raged filled face got close to mine. I wanted to scream for help, but I was so terrified the only thing I could do was stand there shivering.
“Where yo’ f***ing brother?” He growled.
And…
Oh, my goodness!
The force of his words had my knees knocking, if his hand was not there on my stomach holding me in place, I would have slid to the ground.
“I—I don’t know,” I cried. “Please don’t hurt me!”
“He’s not here, boss,” someone said behind us.
“It’s cool, go downstairs and wait for me.”
Although I couldn't see anything past Hitta’s big body, I heard the other men as they filed out, leaving me alone with this…this…
Force of nature!
“Please don't hurt me…” I repeated through trembling lips as his gaze raked over my face. He moved back a few inches so that he could look down my body and I saw somethingchange in his eyes.
I bit my lip wanting to cry out again when I realized I was standing there in nothing but my black thigh-high stockings, black panties, and my black halter sweater…his big warm palm was still pressed against my naked stomach.
“Damn…” I heard him whisper as he took in my body.
“What do you want?!” I yelled, not able to take it anymore.
His heated gaze came back up to mine. “Yo’ crackhead a** brotha stole money from me yesterday.”
I closed my eyes…
No, Westly! No!
Oh God! No!
Out of all the people in the world to steal from.
Please, God,…don't let this be true!
When I opened my eyes again, he was biting his lip looking at me with that hungry gaze of his. I’ve never had a man look at me like that before. His gaze took its time taking in my body as his thumb rubbed against my soft stomach.
“Please tell me that wasn’t your money?” I whined.
“Where the f***is it?”
My shoulders slumped. I give up… this was just too much.
“I—I spent it.”
I don’t know why I told him the truth. Maybe because I didn’t want him to kill my brother and I knew he wouldn’t kill me. As if to confirm my words, a deadly grin slowly spread across his face.
“You spent my money, Teacup?”
Although it was the last thing in the world that I wanted to do…I nodded. The look that came into his hard gaze as it once again took its time raking over my barely clad body was that of a conqueror. When his eyes settled on my trembling lips, there seemed to be some kind of hidden pull between us, his head came closer to mine and it looked for a moment as if he was going to kiss me.
I held my breath, terrified, yet…and I really hate to admit this…excited.
“Well now…” he muttered, his lips only inches from mine. “It looks like you… belong to me.

Damn Teacup!
New to this author, and I love her writing style. Such an interesting pair, these two; but they work. Love to see a big, strong intense man, be gentle for love. Although Hitta's tactic to get Angel was manipulative, he got his end result. Can't wait to read part 2, as I have so many unanswered questions. Enjoyed it.

Once again Ms. Fort has blessed us with another jewel. No different than any other story she's penned, this will leave you wishing for more. This book is about Hitta, the brute and Angel, the timid tea maker. Hitta has wanted the tea maker from the first time he's laid eyes on her. Angel on the other hand has decided she wants nothing to do with him, he's a bully and they have nothing in common. But alas, there's a silver lining in store for them....sit back, relax and enjoy.

So darn good
This book just is. It is just so good it is definitely something you should read because it’s not predictable you have no idea where it’s going and it is definitely going to take you on a ride. I loved this story and I think you will too.

I’m so late but it’s worth it
I knew it would be a part two; so I waited till it came out before reading book one. I have no patience LOL. I finally got a chance to read the start and I am so glad I waited. Edwina has an amazing way of creating a love story with messages within. Her books are ones you don’t forget once you’ve reached the end.
OAN I love the ladies in each series. Out of them all I find I relate more to Angel, especially the herbal healing aspect. I do feel like Edwina just opened my eyes that I maybe too confrontational lol. These ladies run during conflict lol. I know the Shantell situation instead of heading for the door I’d be in the middle of the gym like “hol👏🏾up👏🏾hol👏🏾up👏🏾Will👏🏾iam👏🏾.” It works in the story but I laugh at myself bc I’m yelling at a book “don’t run girl”🤦🏾♀️🥴. I’m on to book two now.

A psychopathic boxer falls in love with a naive geeky, hipster tea maker at first sight. An unlikely pair, in an unlikely situation, but eh...interesting.

The story wasn’t bad, but there was a lot going on. I wasn’t in love with the writing style because there was no real differentiation between the narrators, they all basically sounded the same. There were a few characteristics and actions that were mentioned, but never really addressed.

Never judge a book by its cover 🤭
I must say I really enjoyed this book. Angel and Hitta I'm so happy that he finally got this woman he stalked her for a long time 😉. Angel is so funny she just had me laughing out loud while reading this book. I see she had to rethink Hitta he wasn't at all who she thought he was at least in the smarts department. What a good read this was anxious to see what happens next.

I so loved this book. I could not put it down. This was the first book I read from this author. This will not be the last. Her writing style was different but I like how the characters are talking to us about their lives. Man can I say Hitta and his crew were all about that business. Angel she will have you cracking up. So loved them together. I am currently reading part 2 of their story. Great job. So glad I found this story and the author.

Amazing!!
My first ride on the Edwina-coaster was thrilling! My my my that Hitta was everything and then some... There were scenes written so well, I felt as if I was watching a movie. I can’t wait to tear into the second book! Bravo Edwina! I’m a fan for life.

My first time reading this author and while I wasn't disappointed I was ..puzzled. Writing an alpha male-centric romance story while using asterisks because of your reluctance to fully spelling out profane words seemed weird.
That's just one issue, maybe the only issue, but it became disconcerting as the story progressed. Otherwise, it is a good two book tale
