I’ve tried so very hard to be good. Papa does not tolerate disobedience and I would never go against his wishes. That’s until, Ash Thompson tracks me down and tells me all the things he is going to do for me. All the things he wants to do to me.
He’s the devil tempting me from the outside. Papa says money makes people evil, but Ash Thompson’s eyes tell me otherwise. His sinful touch has me ready to taunt the devil and lay waste to my purity.
Only, the preacher’s daughter has obligations. There is no way I could go against my upbringing.
Or could I?
Author’s Note: Take one innocent preacher’s daughter. A few secret YouTube videos. A billionaire who falls in love with a sassy food blogger. And boom. You have a recipe for an explosive encounter that will have you licking your lips and rooting for all that is sinful. Always safe, no cheating, insta-love with a happily ever after that leaves you with a sigh.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve made up stories. I would lay in my bed at night and before I knew what a trope was, I would make up these trope filled stories. Boy sees girl, boys falls for girl, boy saves girl….happily ever after. As I got older, the stories turned steamier and more intricate, but the basics never changed.
Now, my books are still full of romance but the naughty bits are naughtier, my hero’s are obsessed alpha types and my heroines are quirky, real women who come in all shapes and sizes.
So, sit back, banish the real world and get lost in some over the top romance with a heaping helping of hot. xoxoxo
One of my fave authors and this was a hot and slightly odd concept but still one that I had to read in one sitting.
Selma is trying to be the good girl that her father wants as part of a religious community but she wants to be set free and with her life at a close college she has a persona Anastasia Snow but someone has come looking for her to offer her everything she could ever dream of. Should she risk everything to make her secret dreams a reality with a man she’s falling fast and hard for or turn her back on it all for the sake of her father?
Ash Thompson was shocked to his core the day he saw Anastasia Snow, never really believing in love at first sight he’s proved wrong when he’s watching her blog. Knowing he needs to find the woman who has his heart he sets out to find the enigmatic woman but she’s not easy to find, but once he does there is no way he’s giving her up. She was meant to be his now all he has to do is show her that his love is real, is it possible for him to finally have the woman he loves it will her father snatch her away?
Enjoyable read, lots of drama a possessive alpha male and sweet heroine everything you expect in a Dani Wyatt book.
"Preacher's Daughter" is the story of Selma and Ash.
An OTT insta love romance with a heroine coming from a religious cult, and the hero getting obsessed with her, tracking her down and penetrating her- filled with loads of hard cocks, some bad dad drama and a very fertile HEA.
It was too sweet and cringey for me. They honestly felt like horny rabbits.
Selma has always wanted something different in her life but being the daughter of the preacher of their community, she has her responsibilities and expectations. Ash sees her and wants to change her world and will stop at nothing to make that happen.
-safe read -h is a virgin -no real talk about H past -no om/ow drama -epliogues 2 months and 7 years later
The Insta-love is strong on this one. However, I am not here for well thought meeting and falling in love arc, ya know what I mean. The spice was hot, their relationship was extra sweet (quite literally giving the cookies 🍪 that brought them together).
I liked this author, will probably come back for more.

Brief summary: -Guy see girl’s video; falls for her instantly. - -Searches for her because his chef ripped off her recipe, and he is a good ethical rich guy who wants to right the wrongs… and maybe get with her. -They meet, she is shy at first but then her friend along with life cirsumnstances lead her to a hotel room where she goes from saint to sinner. -They declare their love + want to be together. -Father doesn’t like it and tries to stop them by marrying her off. -love perseveres. Fin.
The Good Place: ▫️the Hero. Over the top and hot. My only bone to pick with him is all the random one-on-one sessions that man had with himself by just looking at the girl. Like… sir? How can you even look her in the eye after all that you have been doing with your right hand before you met her? How? Are you not embarrassed? I found it a bit creepy. But he was sweet and this is a book about boinking so like… 🤷🏼♀️ ▫️The heroine. Sweet and all. My only thing is that this girl was parting her legs like the Red Sea after a single engaging conversation without even being a bit shy. How did she manage to overcome years of sexual shaming in one sweeping move? Maybe the hero was really that hot after all, haha. ▫️The friend was alright.
The Bad Place: ▪️The Dad. Booo what the heck dude. Go get some therapy and stop trying to marry your daughter off. ▪️Wished there was some banging in an altar or something… that would have been hot hot.
Romance Safety: H was not a virgin. His past is not mentioned, he was probably celibate for a long while. The h was a virgin. There is no cheating, no OW or OM drama. They are both completely obsessed with each other. Epilogue has time skip for a more in-depth happy ending with a lots of children.
This was a pretty good story. I liked Selma, she was a sweetheart who was conflicted in her life. She wanted her father in her life, she loved him very much but she didn’t love living in the community and wanted her freedom. I struggled to connect with Ash. I love OTT guys but he was just too pushy and demanding for me. I did like that he gave her her space to think on a couple occasions instead of hunting her down. I don’t remember Ash’s age being mentioned, I like to know how old my characters are. Selma was 21, if Ash was in his early 30s I would have felt different than say if he was in his early 40s. Overall it was a good read. It was sweet and sexy and had a nice ending.
Safety and Spoilers Completely safe. No ow drama, mild om drama and family drama as h is arranged to marry a boy from another community. This causes issues later in the book. H has been celibate for a long time, not specified how long, h is a virgin. h’s father is a little rough with her near the end. He grabs her by the arms and throws her in her room locking her in.
These domineering, Alpha men that Dani writes about are over the top and demanding and I love them. They fall in love, head over heels, and bulldoze anything in their way. Ash sees a video of Anastasia/Selma and he is done for... now he just has to find her and convince her. And he gets "A" for effort (and for Alpha!)
THE WORLD MELTS AWAY. Nothing exists except her. The raging thought in my brain is: I don’t think I can ever go another day without her.
I've been reading so many great 4 and 5 star books lately and here is another one. Nothing like an H that is totally head over ass for his girl. She's a virgin, no details on his past but he's been celebate for awhile it seems. Insta-love, no cheating, no abuse, no OM/OW drama. H is OTT yummy & possessive. Great epilogues at 2 months and 7 years. So steamy and naughty...loved it.
°Virgin heroine °Hero's sexual/romantic past was not mentioned °Switching POVs °Insta love/lust °Older man/younger woman (21 y/o) °Sweet possessive OTT alpha hero °Both faithful after meeting °No cheating °No OW drama °No pushing away °Intimate scenes only between hero and heroine °Epilogue: 2 months and 7 years later
Ash instantly wants Selma. Little bit of drama when he goes searching for her and then when he confronts her father. Ash is way OTT, but he does hold back a bit when Selma asks to allow her wishes. Great steamy times and great epilogues!
This story started ON FIRE with Ash desperately seeking the girl he has seen on a YouTube cooking channel. I loved his intensity and complete OTT behavior.
I initially really empathized with Selma and her plight of an over restrictive father on what amounted to a cult and applauded the steps she had taken to carve out some independence. However the choices she made when the initial confrontation between Ash and her father and then afterwards had me frustrated and disbelieving. Not going to lie, that dropped my enjoyment because I just couldn't understand it.
Selma lives a very regimented life her father is a preacher in a rural community and the beliefs are not all one of her own. Her father runs her life the only secret she has is her blog and her friend Cameron.
One day Ash spots an email which leads him to some cooking vlogs the minute he spots her he goes in to alpha over drive.
Through struggles these two fight and come together as one.
This book is so well written its a dream to read. The author has stolen a piece of my heart. O and the epilogue is perfection.
Wow! This book was so much more then what I expected from Dani. Usually, I love her stories because they are super hot and steamy, this book checked those boxes as well as so much more. This story is so well written, the characters were so in-depth that I fell in love with them within the first few pages. This is my new favorite Dani Wyatt story!
This is my first read in this genre and maybe I just don't get it, but this was a terrible book. Terrible characters and terrible story. I don't know who this book is for. If it's for men, then it's for a terrible kind of man, and if it's for women, then it's for ones that deserve so much better. But then again, maybe I just don't get it and I'm not supposed to?
Phew! Insta-love is an understatement in The Preacher’s Daughter! Ash sees ‘Anastasia’ on her food blog and it’s all done for him. Once he finally finds her he realizes he’s never letting her go. Fast paced, love filled, steamy story!!
3.5 Stars I like this book. It was exactly what I thought it would be and nothing more which is kind of disappointing. I wanted more than I got, especially on Selma’s side of things. She came off flat and Ash’s character really out shined her.
At 61%. I couldn’t take it anymore. It was so slow and ridiculous but slow and ugh. I don’t mind cheesy ott short insta love stories but this one killed. Maybe it’s just me but I couldn’t take it anymore.
Full on insta-lust with a nice conflict subplot about religion and family demands. Invested in the couple quickly and easily. Quick read with a nice HEA.
s h e l v e s : alpha cinderella instalove ott possessive princess treatment pampering protective rich hero virgin wife her up
k i n k s : cums in his pants dry humping take what u need
e n d e a r m e n t s : ♥︎ treasure
e n d i n g : HEA + babies (allegedly—since i didn’t finished this)
r e v i e w : Didn’t hold my attention well. I haaaate the whole religious cult plot device when the heroine is so waffly about getting out. Like, IRL i get how that would happen bc most are brainwashed but I didn’t come here to read about IRL. I want a heroine to be willing and ready when she’s swept off her feet so I can live vicariously through her, not a doormat who is presented with everything she’s ever wanted and then is WISHY WASHY about if she should take it or not. Ugh.
I gave up at 66%. Heroine was too dumb and doormatish. Not gonna finish this later either.
h o t c l i p s:
Her pink folds spread open, dripping with the heaven she’s saved just for me. Her pussy will know only me. No part of her will ever be touched by another man. Her pussy will form to my cock, learning how to please me and only me.
“Unbutton your blouse,” I order, and her shaking fingers come to the collar and work the tiny pearl buttons open until her creamy white flesh is exposed and her tits are swelling out of a simple white bra. “Pull your tits out of your bra but leave it on.”
Her cheeks flush as I watch her comply. The light pink nipples pull tight, and I imagine them full of milk and her belly round.
“Good girl. You do please me.”
I take a hand and move it upward until I find the soft round flesh of one breast and squeeze, listening to her gasp.
♥︎
Her legs are shaking and I feel her body still as she pulls away an inch.
“I’ve never...felt this before.”
My mind spins. “You’ve never had an orgasm before?”
She shakes her head, her red hair falling into her face.
“Close your eyes, baby. Open your legs. Let the feelings come.”
I bring my other hand up and press down on her belly to keep her in place.
…
Her tits are still out, and I stand then lean down and give each of her sweet nipples a kiss and lick before dropping onto the soft seat next to her and pulling her into me.
♥︎
Lifting myself and straddling his lap, I sit down facing him, feeling the rough fabric of his suit pants on my bare girl parts.
I feel his cock jerk as our tongues wrap and wind, and I shift my body against him, needing something more but not sure what it is.
But when my clit presses against the hard length, I know.
All I want is that magical feeling again, so I rock harder, pressing myself down as Ash pushes upward and we thrust against each other. His mouth finds the nape of my neck, and he kisses and nips at me there as I throw my head back, feeling the tension grow and knowing I’m already on the edge of an orgasm.
“That’s it. Take what’s yours, sweet girl.” Ash leans back and looks into my eyes, his voice deeper and thicker with his own need.
I’m cumming and arching, and I hear Ash’s own low roar, his hands taking control and grinding me painfully down onto his cock, using my body to jack himself off.
Basically just a lot of near pornographic content with zero story to back it up.
The man seems like a sick pervert. The girl is almost nymphomaniacal
I’m not judging. It’s just stupid.
Maybe a couple of dogs would have a greater love story than these two.
Between both of them they have in IQ of two. One brain cell for each of them.
At the end she has ten children.
Perhaps the author has consciously written this drivel.
The “hero”. He’s like some character who can only say duh. You know. Zero intelligence and the size of a gorilla. He sees her cooking video on an email and jerks off 50,000 times.
He finds her and well he goes down on her after giving her apple, Chanel, Cartier. Tiffany. Or something like that. He gives her carry bags of things then licks her ..
It was their lack of IQ which was the problem.
Perhaps this is actually a satirical novel?
I think the author hated them both too. Who knows. She gave the woman ten kids. And pregnant again. Or something like that.
The story was non existent.
I am coming to a very poor conclusion about the IQ level of the younger generation. If they like this.
I mean... I, personally, don’t believe in religion. And I agreed with the out of context comment in the article on Ash. I mean, believe what you want... to an extent. Praying doesn’t do shit. God doesn’t do shit. Like I remember when this chick in real life got into a pretty bad accident and when she woke she was out here thanking god. THANKING GOD FOR BEING ALIVE. THANKING GOD FOR SAVING HER LIFE. Which completely discredits ALL the doctors and medical professionals who ACTUALLY saved her life. God doesn’t do shit. AND in Waco (the series version—I dunno how accurate it is) when the main fucking cult leader takes on the “sacrifice” of sleeping with other members’ wives so they don’t have to sin. WOW. WHO in the right mind? WHO?
Religion is stupid and people that believe to that extent are stupid and can’t think for themselves. Brain-washed idiots. I hate you all. But also... believe whatever makes you happy IF ONLY it doesn’t hurt others.
Selma/Anastasia is innocent of the worldly material things and sexual feelings until Ash comes into her life. Her preacher father desperately tried to keep her ignorant of those things. However, it was inevitable that her "eyes would be opened".
If I was to find a fault with this book it is that Ash, at first, was portrayed as a narcissistic man who seemed to stalk Selma.
That said, there are graphic, sexual descriptions but in my opinion, they were tastefully written.
This has to be one of Wyatts Winners, it was filled with angst and tenderness, so much steam my kindle melted and enough sweetness to give me a cavity. I loved how powerful and determined the hero was to claim the heroine and I adored her innocence and reticence and the way he needed to gentle her skittishness to his touch.
This trope is like crack to me and it never fails to rev my engine and make me melt!
