The devotions tended to be a little long and the stories didn't alwaseem to fit. If you are picking a devotional, the first one is MUCH better than this one.

The second book in the Sparkling Gems devotionals series, this book offers even more Greek terms to study. With two or three Greek words for every day, this book will help you to delve into the intended meaning of the New Testament as it was written and the Septuagint as it was translated millennia ago. Each word is shown in context of the time and place it was written in, giving the reader a chance to understand familiar passages in new ways.
With Renner adding stories of his own life to illustrate the points he is making, Sparkling Gems from the Greek Volume II is full of treasures that will bring you to a fuller understanding of Scripture. Worthwhile Addition
Sparkling Gems 2 doesn’t deviate from the format of the first book, focusing on Greek words used in the New Testament. It lacks some of the punch of its predecessor perhaps because the reader knows what to expect. As a follow up devotional there is no need to read the books in order. While I like the first Sparkling Gems more this one had passages I would more often and eagerly share with others.
Sparkling Gems 2 doesn’t deviate from the format of the first book, focusing on Greek words used in the New Testament. These gems are worth mining!
Pastor Renner takes a Scripture for each day and draws out gems with his knowledge and insight into the original Greek language, as well as by sharing personal stories from his own life experiences that help drive God’s Word deeper into one’s own heart and life. You need this book!
Rick Renner is in my opinion the most anointed Bible teacher I have ever known. This book is so much more than a devotional.
Most devotionals are out of your mind by mid day. But these daily studies in the Word are life transforming.
Both Sparkling Gem 1 and 2 are how I start my day each morning.

Rick Renner is the best at using the original Greek to help convey what God says in His Word. This devotional is so powerful! I highly recommend it if you want to grow in your faith and walk with Jesus.

The two Sparkling Gems, 1 & 2 have been life changing for me.
The two Sparkling Gems have convicted me, increased my faith Ang has given me a new, much healthier relationship with Jesus Christ.
Rick's brother-in-law gave the first book when I retired. I was going g through a very rough time. The daily reading of the Gems has. Kept me wanting g a closer relationship with my Lord. I believe the Lord has touched me through the Sparkling Gems. My soul has been enriched. Thanks Rick. Thank John for the gift.

Great devotional
The idea of a devotional personally was always for me a stupid. This is absolutely fantastic. Help me to understand certain word in the Bible. It help to build up my faith and encourage me greatly.
