About the author

David W. Gooding is Professor Emeritus of Old Testament Greek at Queen's University, Belfast and a member of the Royal Irish Academy. His international teaching ministry is marked by fresh and careful expositions of both testaments. He has published scholarly studies on the Septuagint and Old Testament narratives, as well as expositions of Luke, John 13-17, Acts and Hebrews.

This is an excellent book. It is primarily concerned with apologetics for Christianity, which it does extremely well. The book starts by destroying the idea that all religions are ultimately equivalent and shows where the differences are fundamental. From there the book delves into Christianity, focussing on answering arguments against. The material is very well put together, and well communicated. I recommend strongly as a book on Christian apologetics
