Was her whole life a lie…Sixteen-year-old Celeste Holcomb was raised in church. Her faith and belief in Jesus as well as in her mother was unshakable, but when the secrets of her mother’s past are brought to light after all these years, Celeste’s beliefs begin to crumble. Without a firm grasp of anything, she’s vulnerable to everything. Leaving her wide open for an attack. Daren Jenson is an easy target for the darkness. His parents' choices led him down the wrong path, and although his brother Mack, desperately tried to alter it and give Daren a better life, things started to slip further and further from the light. Which is just what head demon Melti wants. He has plans for Daren and Celeste, plans that may prove too much for even the Warrior Angels and that just might see evil triumph over good.
What an awesome story of how Christians battle the spirit world! This story shows how important forgiveness is in our life. What freedom forgiveness brings us. I loved the storyline and the strong character of Katelyn. The fact that Katelyn kept her story secret from Celeste showed what secrets can do to destroy families. Their separate battles made them stronger in their spiritual lives. As a fictional story, this author has revealed to us the meaning of Ephesians 6:12. I have never read this author’s works before, but I look forward to reading more. I was gifted a copy of this book, but I chose to do this, my honest opinion review.

Interesting follow up to Worthy by the same author. Hagen writes very descriptively so you can really enter into what's happening - especially the fight scenes. I stayed up to finish this book - which usually means I'm hooked.
She portrays the battle between good and evil in very interesting ways that make the reader realize that this is really an example of what happens in our daily lives.
Scary, but good for each of us to be more familiar with ways our enemy works in our lives to tear us and our families down.
