Bad Boy Greeks #2

My Favorite Mistake

Rate this book
I’d make a terrible father.

That’s what they all said.

And it’s the lie I lived for a long time, playing the field.

Sleeping around and enjoying my life as a bachelor.

But things change when my grandfather passes and all of his money comes my way.

Life looks like a day in a theme park, with me as the big winner.

Until I realize my grandfather didn’t just send me a check, but also his big house filled with expensive art.

Unfortunately, it comes with the responsibility of maintaining his staff, including a beautiful American maid that's driving me mad.

I have rules about romance with those who work with me and for me.

No bother. This curvy vixen wants nothing to do with me anyway.

Until she does.

And when I think it’s going to be a quick fling, I’m shocked to discover she’s carrying my greatest fear and the one thing I’ve always secretly wanted more than anything else.

A baby.

Hey there. I'm Weston.

Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.

I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.

Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.

You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.

Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.

Oh my! Rand and Nicole were so much fun! I loved how she always spoke her mind. I loved that Rand was so kind and supportive. I loved that they were always there for one another. They definitely were meant to be. The ending was so beautiful! ❤️

‘I’m a lover, not a fighter.’

Author Weston Parker has gathered much of his experiences he generously shares in his Bad Boy books as a firefighter/EMS man. He now travels and writes, at times with his sister Ali Parker, and at times alone, and his books are all the rage with the Chick Lit audience who undoubtedly love the manner in which a man creates the hot steamy erotica that women usually write for this audience. Weston keeps it real with people with whom we can identify readily and he writes with such powerful eroticism that his novel steam from cover to cover.

Weston opens his book with a flavor that is the seed of the story from Rand, the lead character – ‘I strolled down the hallway of the offices of Great Greeks, feeling proud of the success the company was having. It had been a lot of hard work, some long nights, and a lot of stress n the beginning, but we ha certainly made it worth the effort. I walked into the office of the CEO of the company, not bothering to knock, and took a seat. Adrian Gabris, one of my good friends and technically my boss, smiled…”I’m not meant to be settled down like you. Why do married guys always think everyone else should be like them?”

The synopsis he writes outlines the solid plot – ‘I’d make a terrible father. A baby.’

Fleshed out characters, a familiar life change, and a solid romance as a payoff. This is another steamy erotic piece that works on every level.

Easy read with some not good parts

(Spoilers ahead) Overall a good book but Nicole really annoyed me at times. Loved Rand, I liked him in the previous book (other than when he was rude to Bella) but Nicole just frustrated me in her responses to things, they were so immature and annoying. I couldn’t understand why she was so mad at Rand when he didn’t have a clue about the baby, not exactly fair to get mad at someone for pretty much saying they weren’t sure they’d be a good parent. And then to use that as an excuse to potentially not tell him she was having his baby - not okay. I question whether she was even going to tell him had he not found out himself and seen her, which kind of ruined the whole HEA for me. I can’t say I’m a fan at all of books where the woman hides the fact that she’s pregnant from the man so this was close to being a huge no from me. If she hadn’t tried to hide it I would have rated higher

My Opinion

I only gave this book 2 stars for a couple of reasons. First let me confess I was unable to finish this book. 1.) I couldn't stand Rand. In the first book he was a real butt and in the chapters I did read he continued to be one. 2.) After making a promise to a dying man she refused to keep her word at first due to her personal reasons. 3.) I'm tired of reading the author write that a woman who wears a size 8 is thick or full figured. Girl please, the average size for a woman in America is a 14 or 16. Don't make women feel like they have to be a size 2 to be beautiful. So no I can not recommend this book!

What a great book and so much fun to read. Well written with strong, likable characters and a page-turning read. Once I began this book I found it hard to put down. Weston Parker continues to prove what a wonderful and engaging writer he is. Entertaining, engaging and so sexy. Full of steam, surprises, and twists. I read an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review. Let Nicole and Rand take you on an emotional roller coaster

A charming and very well written story by mister Parker.
It's emotional, but not too much; a little drama, but not too much.
Many adorable, sweet and interactions between the many characters and quite a few steamy sex scenes ( wink wink).
I quite liked Nicole's fun sass.
Great job mister Parker!!

I received an ARC in exchange on an honest and voluntary review.

So heartwarming and Real Feels :)

I have been enjoying each book written by Author Weston Parker so far and his novels are five star must reads! I felt compelled to write a short review on this book, instead of giving this just a five star rating because it really made me "feel". My children and I are DV survivors and this story touched on a lot of thoughts, emotional and physical pain I personally endured. Not in a bad way, but in a relatable way. I understood the main characters and felt connected to this story due to the real feelings, trauma, guilt, and scarring that happens as a result of any violent/abusive experiences. This Author was able to write a story that included real feelings I felt in my heart and write such a heartwarming and positive story. I loved it. I love how it helped me to relate and not to feel alone, but by reading the real emotions, issues, and including the happy ending -- it felt super powerful to me. All of the characters are so well written and relatable, this book definitely evoked a lot of feelings for me, but like I shared....it is just so well written. Please read, you'll love it!!!

They both came from broken families, they didn’t believe in love or did they?

Rand was battling demons from his past. He loved them and left them. No strings, no emotions until this woman shows up with a letter. A letter from the only family he’s known, his dead grandfather.
Nicole had left the US to get away from her father. Thankfully her best friend Alec was there to help and save her from his wrath. They leave the US for Greece where she gets a job for a sweet, loving man. She spent hours sitting beside his bedside, sharing stories. Up until they day he died. His one last request of her was to make sure she delivers an envelope to his cherished grandson.
They didn’t hit it off at first but after a while, they seemed to work. The. She finds out she’s pregnant. They’re both from broken families. How will he take the news if she even decides to tell him.

Get the tissues ready this story will have you in an emotional tailspin. Rand and Nicole both come from dysfunctional families that has provided them with nothing but pain and suffering. When Nicole got a job at Rand's grandfather's estate, they befriended each other and on his death bed he gave her a letter to deliver to Rand. Needless to say, he was setting these two up to meet and it change their lives. However, Rand's family has other plans. Will they ruin what could be his happily ever after? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.

My Favorite Mistake, book two in the Bad Boy Greeks series, follows Rand Mattas and Nicole Weathers. Nicole is a housekeeper, working for Rand’s grandfather. Rand is the right hand man to Adrian, who we read about in the first book, Fake it for me. When Nicole left America to move to Greece, she gets a job working with her best friend, Alec. She spends most of her time sitting with her client, up until the day he dies and he leaves her a note to deliver to his grandson, Rand.

3.75 Stars!

This is a new to me author and overall it was a solid book. I would say that her pacing at the end of the book could use some work. Like each character had this giant secret and we really don’t get a confirmation of what happens until the last few chapters of the book. STILL I enjoyed the book for what it’s worth!

7/10 would recommend

Nicole and Rand both have less than stellar family lives. Nicole worked for Rand's late grandfather who they both adored. When their paths initially crossed it was not love at first sight but there was chemistry. Nicole and Rand's story had a fast but good progression. I liked the emotional journey and turns throughout the story.

Good Greeks

Okay, so it’s not the name of the business, however I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Rand and Nicole were brought to life and I felt as if I was on the journey with them. I will definitely be recommending this book, and look forward to more great reads from Weston and Ali.

this writer just gets on my nerves

He goes on and on and on about absolutely nothing; just prattling along mindlessly, page after boring page.
His stories are actually quite good, if he could just get on with telling them!
This one, I read to only 40% before giving up on the never ending ramblings.
A good editor is desperately needed for this guy.

h forgave her mom for abandoning her way to easily and uprooted her life for her when her mom didn't do the same when she was literally 2. Her mom left her with her dad that was an abusive man that beat her. Didn't invole the police or did nothing to get her away. Didn't buy that she searched for her.

Okay

I was excited to see Alex book, however not in love with the story he got. We did not get to the issue listed in the description until 58% into the book.

Then it ended pretty quickly.

Perfect romance and amazing plot!

I couldn't put this book down! The plot was so interesting and had so many wonderful sub-plots. I'm glad there are three books in this series because I don't want it to end!

I enjoyed is book even more than the first. It was good to be visiting Greece again. And this time there was a more complex and intriguing story. Rand and Nicole both have secrets that are slowly revealed as their relationship deepens and their romance develops.

Carefree Greek Playboy Rand Finds Himself Smitten By A Spunky Curvy American!

Rand, almost thirty, has achieved tremendous success. With seed money from his beloved wealthy grandfather, Alec Mattas, he and his friend Adrian (from Fake It For Me) started their own company. Today Adrian is the CEO of Great Greeks, and Rand is happy bringing in new clients. But since witnessing Adrian fall head over heels in love with Bella, Rand has begun to tire of the string of waif-like girls that parade through his life, who all seem so empty. In spite of his earlier disapproval of Bella, Rand now sees how much his friend has been gained since falling in love. He is a little envious of what the couple has. But he knows that relationships and kids aren't for him. He has a dark secret from his past and a deep rift in his family. He longs to pack a suitcase and leave Crete and everything else behind.

Nicole, a twenty-two year old curvy American, has been Alec Mattas's housekeeper for the last two years. She came to Crete with nothing a few years ago and wants to remain if possible; returning home to her father is not an option. She is kind and nurturing. Alec is old and dying, so Nicole instinctively acts as his friend and personal nurse, often staying after hours to keep him company. She counts Alec as one of her only friends on Crete. He asks Nicole to deliver an envelope to his grandson once he dies.

When Nicole meets Rand for the first time, things heat up. She is angry that he didn't visit his sick grandfather during the last two years of his life and walks away from Rand and his cavalier attitude. When they meet again, Rand listens to her and then asks her to dinner.

The chemistry between Rand and Nicole is explosive! However, due to their troubled pasts, they struggle to get on the same page. Nicole is incredibly patient, but Rand's head is a bit in the clouds when it comes to understanding women.

Adrian and Belle from the earlier book in this series play a part as they welcome Nicole into their small circle and offer their support.

I rate My Favorite Mistake four stars. This story is complex and engaging as the mysteries of the past unfold. The characters are sympathetic and feel real. Rand's growth by the end of the book is incredible. The couple earns their HEA. Not to diminish it, but it is a more realistic HEA and had me a little sad not for the couple, but for their situation. I did not anticipate the direction they would take. Regardless, I enjoyed the book and hope to see more of this couple in the series (and perhaps see them fully healed and moving forward, or back, rather)!

This is the second book of the "Bad Boy Greeks" series and you will not be disappointed. It's the story of Rand and Nicole. Though part of a series it most definitely can be read as a standalone. Rand is the best friend and business partner of Adrian (whom we met in Book 1) and he's a carefree bachelor with a "no strings attached" view of life. Nicole is an American girl who has escaped to Greece years earlier (you will eventually learn, via the story, what she was escaping but there are hints to her past earlier in the book) and has spent the last few years working as a housekeeper for Alec - an older, wealthy gentleman who's health is failing and whom she has developed quite the friendship with. Through her relationship with Alec, she learns about some of his family, greek history and is told many stories of years past. Alec asks Nicole for a favor one afternoon and asks that she deliver an envelope to his grandson Rand upon his death.

When Alec passes away, Nicole keeps her promise and finally manages to find Rand to deliver the envelope. Their first meeting does not go well and their second one is not much better - but sparks fly and despite everything, Rand asks her to dinner. That is the start of a friendship and relationship - though neither one of them want to call it that. It becomes clear that Nicole is still dealing with issues from her past and Rand also carries baggage from his past as well as his family relationships that he works very hard at keeping locked away.

But as their relationship progresses and they get closer to each other and closer to their own truths about their pasts - Alec throws one more curveball into the mix in the form of an envelope for Nicole and a big clue about her past and her reason for running to Greece in the first place.

When Nicole learns she is pregnant and before she even tells Rand (though he has repeatedly stated he does not want kids and does not want to be a father) - she is getting on a plane and heading back to the States to face her past and part of the reason she left in the first place so many years prior. Will Rand try to find her? Will he fight for her and the baby once he learns about it? Will Nicole be able to face her past and will Rand be able to face his as well?? Will they finally admit their true feelings for each other? It's a fun, love story with some dark subjects but once you start reading you will not want to stop. You will fall in love with both Rand and Nicole and want nothing more for them to overcome their painful pasts, admit their feelings for each other and work on finding their own version of their personal happily every after.

Rand is another dream boyfriend by weston

Rand is the ultimate party boy. Why should he ever settle down. Then he finds out that the inky family who ever loved him has passed away...and his maid/housekeeper semi-stalks him to fulfill his grandfather's last wish. He never thought he deserves to be happy or fall in love but meeting Nicole has changed all that...well meeting her and forgetting to wear protection.....

Weston Parker doesn't fail to intrigue me with their stories. My Favorite Mistake focuses on the story of Nicole and Rand. Both characters are running away or forgetting a part of their past. That connection along with a letter Nicole must deliver to Rand, creates a story full of messy moments, tear jerking decisions and a complex relationship that only becomes more complex and solidified as it grows. The pain and growth that both characters have to face, sometimes a choice too tough for them to make, gives me as the reader a deeper connection because it feels so real.

When it comes to Rand, I did not expect the playboy to have any growth or emotion. But boy was I wrong. Rand is isloated from his family for teasons of course, but Nicole comes i to his life with a fiery to desire to understand why he isolated the one person he loved and respected the most, his grandfather Alec. Now we knew initially the attraction Rand had towards Nicole was primarly physical. She was a curvy American and he wanted her. However, Nicome is a character that isn't going to give into his charm too easily. Nicole has a genunine care lacdd with toughness that makes her character so relatable and likeable. Essentially, I was rooting for Nicole to have a happy ending.

They story is complexed and filled with messy moments and life changing decisions that you are rooting for a break to happen and the characters to feel content. I absolutely love a story like this but will note that I would have wanted a bit less predicitability when those opps oe tough moments happened. I wanted more of a suspense, but appreciated that the author didn't use the events as the main focal point and focused a lot on the development of the characters.

Weston Parker managed again to make this read a page turners filled at time with tears, an overall great read.

This is my 12th book by Weston Parker and he did not disappoint. The characters were well written. I especially enjoyed Nicole’s best friend Alena and would love to hear her story.

Rand meets Nicole after his dying grandfather asks her to personally deliver a letter to him. They don’t exactly see eye to eye and she walks away letter and all. She goes to his office to apologize for her behavior and to give him the letter.

They begin to see each other shortly after this, but the alliance is very fragile as each is carrying family baggage that weighs them down and makes them extra guarded although they like each other a great deal.

Rand’s family is unforgiving and full of negativity due to past circumstances, but they keep inserting themselves in his life.
Nicole’s family is so fractured she has no hope of fixing it. However, Alec, Rands’ grandfather, leaves Nicole something unexpected after he dies that impacts her life in a very unexpected way.

Because of their family issues, neither is a fantastic communicator and a miscommunicated question, obliterates their developing relationship although neither of them wants it to be the end.

I really enjoyed the setting of Crete and wish he would have been more descriptive of it. I also wanted to know more about Nicole's dad and wished she could have confronted him to bring some closure. I wanted the same for Rand. They both deserved peace.

Another winner for Mr. Parker and I look forward to his next book.
