"Thank god you're here. Listen, I need you to buy this book, okay? It's important. Please."With great power, comes a lot of emotional baggage. Nolan's abilities have always been more of a curse than a gift, but when a global conspiracy targeting superpeople begins to emerge from the shadows, someone has to fight back. Joined by a former all-American hero, a bereaved and talented psychic, and... His sort of ex-girlfriend, Nolan finds out that together, him and his new friends might just be the only thing capable of saving the world. But, he's going to need your help..."Read Me" is a scintillating superhero caper for the modern era, with authentic characters and a compelling autobiographical format.

Written in the fashion of a memoir, I COULD NOT put this book down!! Absolutely NOT what I expected… In a completely fantastic way.

What did I just read?? I put the book down, and…I think I’ve forgotten. I guess that’s how Nolan Roland feels on a daily basis. No one remembers him.

“Suddenly, it all started to make sense. The years of isolation that I felt as a child came into focus. Nobody had any idea I was here, unless they were talking to me at that very moment. I’ve still, to this day, not met my real parents. But, I suppose it’s not too hard for me to imagine the scenario. My mother endures the labour of bringing me into the world and then, for whatever reason… My family look the other way. It could’ve been anything. Me being taken to another room to get checked over… Me being left alone to sleep… Maybe it was even quicker than that. Maybe my father, still shaking from excitement and tears in his eyes, chose to embrace my mother, to share their sheer joy in the scant few seconds after my delivery.

And they simply forgot me.”

Imagine going your whole life never being remembered. Imagine falling in love with someone who forgets you even exist every time they look away from you. Well, Nolan didn’t have to imagine. He had to live it. But, would you use this ability for good? Or for evil?

This story is equal parts funny and heart breaking. It is honestly the best thing that I’ve read so far this year! Everyone needs to read it…. because, the fate of the world may depend on it. How can Nolan save the world by having us read this book?? Well, you’ll just have to pick yourself up a copy to find out! But…. do it soon, before you forget!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. It was gripping and clever, with a good mix of likeable characters including Nolan Roland who tells the story of his mystical magical superpower.

Read it. Trust me, you need to.

I loved this book! Such an incredible story, excellently written, and such an interesting premise. I recommend everybody reads this!

I especially enjoyed the format, of Nolan telling his story, and it’s only at the very end that we realise why exactly he is telling it in this way. I feel like every little thing was thought of, and fed into the plot, and the twists and turns. Can’t wait to read the sequel!

Loved this super original take on the classic superhero story, with an important and touching subtext of mental health. Looking forward to reading book 2.
