The following types of exercises are included in this workbook. Conversation comprehension. These exercises can be used to monitor students’ level of understanding of the phrases used in conversation. Vocabulary. This level includes a variety of vocabulary exercises that cover the large amount of vocabulary in the text. Written expression. These exercises give students practice writing the language properly. Reading Comprehension. These exercises train students to understand long texts and to read without diacritical marks (tashkeel). Grammar. Grammar is presented in an easy to understand way. Examples illustrate the material, which begins with the easiest concepts and moves to the more difficult ones. Language skills. Six language skills are presented in this level, with each skill in one unit. The skills are presented from easiest to hardest, with examples and exercises. Dictation. Students write what the teacher dictates to them. Writing and improving handwriting. Students practice writing all of the letters in their different shapes in the exercises.
