Biography
Bobby Casto, Amazon #1 bestselling author in Children's Dystopian Sci-Fi Books, and pen name of a professor of behavioral science at a private university. He believes the dystopian genre needs more mystery and magic - and a touch of the scary and paranormal!

He has published several academic works, and for several years, fictitious stories have played through his mind, so he started writing them down! The first, Reality by Deception, began as a story he told his kids during a week-long power outage in frigid negative temperatures as they were making an outdoor snow refrigerator and huddling over pots of boiling water to stay warm!

Bobby lives in the Intermountain West with his wife, children, and bunnies! He does not own a pet crocodile. He enjoys many hobbies: Painting, running, cycling, sports, reading ya fiction, and vacuuming!

He holds several degrees: a Ph.D., MBA, and BS from Michigan State, University of Utah, and Brigham Young University, respectively.

Bobby loves hearing from his readers and can be contacted by email at bobbycasto.author@gmail.com, Twitter @bobbycasto, INSTA @bobby_casto_author.

I just wasn’t in the mood for this, and it seemed kind of disjointed (thought that may have been because of my skimming). Plus the characters irritated me, and they seemed to continually change personality, and the MC was gullible af.
All up this just wasn’t for me, but I might try again in the future :))

Mr Casto has created a new world full of mystery and suspense in his new book "Reality by deception".
The book speaks about "Alison Chao" and how her life changes as she meets the disturbants and learns more about Atyps. While she does the impossible to run from the federation, Aijayy slowly unties the secret that has been haunting her ever since she was young.

A great choice for clean science - fiction lovers. Can't wait to read the second book!!!

What an amazing book!

I usually don’t like reading YA very much, but I’m so glad I gave “Reality by Deception” a chance.
The story is an action-driven, exciting mix of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Dystopia and will entertain young adults and more mature readers alike.

Bobby Casto is a very talented author. He has created a unique, complex world with its own history and mythology. It’s populated with well-developed, likable characters. The story’s heroine, Aijayy is a young girl with a strong will and many talents, some obvious and some still slumbering deeply inside her. Her life changes dramatically when she meets Benshi, Sai, and Ice, who are so-called A-Types, humans with extraordinary abilities, almost super-powers.
Her new friends and other A-Types are oppressed by a dystopian government, and Aiijayy joins their fight for freedom and equal rights.
But it turns out that the reality of this familiar and yet exotic world Aiijayy lives in is something completely different than the heroine thought it to be…
What this is, everybody should discover for themselves as I highly recommend reading this book.
It is fast-paced and sometimes reminded me of an Anime, particularly the descriptions of the A-Types.
I hope Bobby Casto will write many more books and am already excited about the promised sequel!

Imaginative and surprising, this book will keep you wondering what deep secret is hidden beyond its words. Casto will immerse you in a world so parallel to our own and yet intriguingly different, with its many shocking and horrifying secrets that will make you physically wince and then turn the next page in wonder. This book comments on human patterns we see in our own governments and the people in day-to-day life. Just when you think you understand it all, you may be shocked by the twists that come into your path. This was an enjoyable read that had me on the floor anxious for the next as soon as I closed its cover.

This book was a page turner! It was fun to read because it had new and cool things happening that I haven't come across in other books. Can't wait to read the second one to see how the story continues!

Exciting!

This not my preferred genre, but I found myself drawn into the world that Casto created. The story unfolds in many unexpected ways, so that I couldn’t put it down. This is a great read for adults and young adults alike.
