The water is off. The power is off. All bets are off.

Suffering a nearly fatal blow, the United States staggers forward, struggling to regain its footing. The latest attack, a massive EMP, has wiped out most of the nation’s electric grid.

In Oregon, Katie and Zach Nelson settle in a location that appears to be a safe hideout… but unexpected threats may make it untenable, and stress from their long ordeal begins to take its toll. Can this defenseless family live in obscurity, or will the forces mounting against them prevail?

Meanwhile, in the nation’s capital, President Alana Mills attempts to reassure and calm the populace while grappling with her new position and those who seek to undermine her. Was her predecessor murdered in the White House? Is she also in a killer’s crosshairs?

In Canada, Evan Nelson struggles to guide his mother and Elizabeth while reeling from unspeakable tragedy. Dwindling resources and growing hostility create new problems. With no money and few friends, how can they hope to survive?

OREGON is the fourth book in the apocalyptic Daughter of Babylon series.

This series is intriguing and I am very much enjoying how it is going must read

This is a very good book I enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to others. I am very much looking forward to reading the next one in the series. I love the part where the president was shot and almost did not survive, where she had her life-changing experience. I cannot wait till she talks to the ambassador of Israel.

Four days later California and New York were gone , It was too much for the seated President and she had taken her own life leaving Vice President as the new commander in Chief . Don't miss this amazing adventure as yet another chapter and day in the brilliant saga of the Daughter of Babylon series unfolds . I honestly never review books simply because books are really easy to critique based upon personal preference aka opinions. I will admit that I do judge books by their covers and my genre is Christian Fiction with extremely strong biblical ties and references. Well thus far, at least for me, this series has not disappointed both with the Covers and the story line. It keeps my attention without long drawn out jargon that really doesn’t mean much to the overall narrative. All three storylines intermingle yet stand alone leaves you hanging at the end of each section. Anyway great job to the author. Thank you for your imagination and your conviction.
Just one persons opinion! In Christ -B

Excellent Series

I was riveted from the 1st paragraph of book 1 California to the last word in Alaska! This series has been a balm to my soul and excitement for my senses. Jamie Grey is an amazing author, clearly a woman of God and her storytelling ability is truly a gift. The way she shows the humanity , the evil the strength and the frailty of all the main characters is astonishing.
I could see myself in each character at different times throughout the stories. I could see myself standing strong in my faith, I could see myself stumbling and doubting, I could see myself at the end of my rope not knowing what to do. I am recommending this book to many Of my Christian friends and fellow book nerds. Thank you once again to the author this series has been a blessing to my life .

Big Foot

Yeah. There are a couple of sightings and so much uncertainty. I'm not happy that it wasn't cleared up before the book ended. In fact, it's kinda where the book ended.

Anyway, the suspense and cliffhangers are just as good and I really like where some of the characters are actually heading. I really like three to be exact. But, I also really hate where three others are trying to go! I mean, like if they succeed, I will stop reading this series and maybe this author altogether. That's how bad the three that are trying to bad are going.

Cliffhangers. Going into the next book now. I'll let you know how it goes.

I stole this review but it fit so well that I couldn't have said it better myself
"What a compelling, fast-paced, story of intrigue! With miracles and twists to keep the reader engaged. This author is a genius in her storytelling and suburb in weaving a tale that makes you want to read faster to find out what will happen next. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves mysteries and Christian reading. This book will not disappoint.

This whole series captivated me, it was slow in parts especially the driving in the first book but the overall story was so interesting I had to know what happened. I don't think I have ever read a book with a storyline like this one and that made it special on its own.

Some of the characters are "lame' especially the brother but you needed all the characters to bring the whole story together.

Very exciting!!

Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Seems a lot like what America is going through presently. My only two distractions are: using the word UGH by various characters, as if everyone thinks the same way. And the grammatical error in how she says "staff are" when it should be " staff is." ( staff used in a collective singular should be staff is.) Anyway, aside from some grammatical errors, it's a fantastic story. The author's imagination and detail create a very true-to-life experience.
I'm ready for book five!

Overall: Good read with a fast-paced storyline.
Likes: Thought-provoking, End Times fiction, so suspenseful! It gives me a lot to think about in regards to potential routes the End Times in the U.S. may go.
Dislikes: Some cheesy dialogue. I was fed up with Evan in this book. His POV was like reading a high schooler's first experience with a crush and it kind of gave me an ick. It just seemed very unrealistically written.
Recommend? I would. Warning that it may cause distress for those who find End Times to be an anxiety-inducing topic

It's a page turner

I'm now halfway through the "Daughter of Babylon" series of books and I hadn't been so invested in a series for a long time. It's a faith based, end-times story, so while I know where it's going, I really can't predict what will happen next. So many twists and turns!
The character development is very good, and surprising at times. However, this is not a prepper story. No one is prepared for the disasters unfolding around them!
If you were a fan of the "Left Behind" books, you will like this.

Hard to Believe Its Only Been 3Days

SPOILER ALERT! So much is happening. Katie and Zach find shelter and people willing to help. Zach is still being stalked by the FBI and something else that is possibly more sinister.
Evan, Mom and Elizabeth finally make it to Christine and Caleb's.
Alana gets shot and has a near death experience that forever changes her.
Jamie's description of near heaven and the outer darkness is amazing. I love this series and can't wait for DC.

The twist and turns just keep on coming !!!

I love books that start right out getting my interest, and this series is like that. Just when you don't think it can get any crazier !! I love the down to earth, everyday folks the main characters are, they show all the stuff of everyday folks everywhere; worry, fear, anxiety, and more. But they cope with it well too. Can't wait for #5 to come out

Author stayed with story line and developed characters. Not sure I like how the 3 stories are blended would like more time on one story before switching to another story line. zthey do work out ok but sometimes I found myself leaing ahead to finish one part before going back to other.

Exciting and thrilling

The story is great and so is the writing of it. I do wish she didn’t go back and forth so quickly. I like that there are parallel stories, however sometimes it seems like we are rushing through one story and then we’re in the next without a breath between. Keep up the good work Ms. Grey and God bless you!

Awesome book 4 by Jamie Lee Grey

Running away from FBI and trying to stay ahead of the fires and an EMP on top of everything would really be terrible. Not knowing if your parents or brother are alive and where they are would be added to the other worries. Book 5 will explain what is to be.

The EMP attack got me thinking about the importance of having a watch especially an analog one. How much do we rely on digital clocks? I said a lot! I’m really enjoy reading the series and got me thinking of things I’ve never thought about before. I have to say the 25th amendment on the President of the US in this book is as scary as it is for us today.

Loved the Surprise

I am really enjoying reading all of Ms. Grey's books. Very good writer.

I loved the surprise character included in this book. I knew the surprise was one of two things, but, I'm not going to give it up for future readers. Let's just say I had a much needed laugh. Way to go, Ms. Grey.

Oregon

This KU library selection is the continuation of the post apocalyptic series, Daughter of Babylon. There are three settings propelling the storyline: Oregon, Washington DC, and Canada. And there is a common thread between them, Zach, a pastor/blogger/scapegoat.

Another great book

The author does an amazing, if frustrating, job of leaving you in suspense at the end of almost every storyline change. Which makes this book very difficult to put down once you start!

The sasquatch!!

Highlight of this book was the creature myth or legend. It was a very plausible theme given that there are many objects that we are not aware of in this world nor has mankind discovered.
