An astronomer has no business "believing" in UFOs - but sometimes he has no choice...
That’s what happened to me. I was an astronomer and planetary scientist for NASA. I worked at observatories and discovered asteroids. I was on mission flight teams to Neptune and Venus, and much more. UFOs were not my thing.
But nothing could prepare me for what would happened New Year’s Day of 2017. I walked outside and saw - not one, not two, not even three - but four disks descend from the clouds right in front of me. One appeared to be damaged. I took pictures and a video, and had no idea that by doing so I would change my life forever. As word spread I was contacted by USAF Space Command. The military response was swift and powerful. I was ripped out the world of sanitized scientific paradigms, and thrust into the very world I had disparaged: the dark, strange and twisted universe of UFOs. Suddenly my allies were the very ufologists I had fought with my whole life. I wish I could take that day back – but it’s too late now…
This is that story – my true story – and even now it is still unfolding…
I heard an interview with this guy on podcastufo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74GnZ...). The interviewer -mercifully- cut him short near the end because his story was "too fantastical," and it was. Intrigued by the human condition and what makes people do what they do, I read this book. If it hadn’t been billed as truth, it might have been a decent fictional black ops spy story. The self-important, arrogant grandiosity of the author's claims and assertions simply went too far and are not believable. I also have to question the veracity of some of the reviews and posts I have seen here and elsewhere. On some other reviews (Lava Chick et al.), the childlike enthusiasm, over-the-top writing style, overuse of capitalization, and the smiley faces :0) look suspiciously just like the author's social media pages and reviews. (Sockpuppets...?) Something doesn’t smell right here... The author should be fearing the Men in White, not the Men in Black. Bottom line: the author thinks very highly of himself and very little of his readers. I can't wait to see how he can possibly extend the money grab with yet another book, filled with more bloviating and exaggerations.
UPDATE: Having been exposed for his use of sock puppets, the author deleted his "Lava Chick" review (and account) and replaced it with an equally self-serving and cringeworthy review as "Metro". The author is very impressed with himself…he says so in his own review. Classic Narcissism. Not to be trusted.
I always enjoy books by reputable people about their experiences that expose the ongoing cover-up by the defense dept & mainline scientific community. The denials, scare tactics & outright torment/torture is as bad as our present day national & local politics. Good to see someone defy this conspiracy, being willing to risk his reputation for the sake of truth. The story could have been told in fewer pages, but he has to make a living. I will probably read his second book. Being in my 70's, I wonder if I will be around long enough to see national press releases exposing this kind of injustice. It is way beyond time for our citizens to grow up & face reality. Other countries are way ahead of us in terms of releasing UFO information.
The author has commendably reevaluated his significant scientific career and put his reputation on the line to share with the public his personal experience with unusual phenomena. Further, the book is an illuminating look inside the complex dynamics of NASA and space research, not to mention the UFO research community, with its collection of oddballs, geniuses and visionaries.
What bravery to speak out and not only that, but to actually confront the powers that be! This is one of those stories that needed to be told. Rudnyk had proven himself san extremely reliable eye witness with credibility ink abundance. Not only that, but her has got very well documented evidence to bank up house story. Thank you for sharing Marian!
The only thing I might disagree with is the reverance for McDonald's, but everyone has their guilty pleasures!
This is a contemporary account of a UFO sighting and the scary response of the U S govt. Why they continue to harass him instead of working with the author who is a scientist is baffling. A good read and one story i will continue to follow.
Well written easy read. Very informative with lots of backing photos and data. If there is anyone on the planet who STILL doesn't believe then they need to read this book. People say the government needs to disclose ufos. I say they have and are. Just open your eyes and ears. The info is there now. No its not the president on TV saying ufos are real but to me close enough. But I digress. The book is great. Read it and learn!!!!
I saw Dr. Bob Wood review on Amazon. That hooked me. Book is much more than ufo sighting type book. This is his life before and after and how his life changed. Ruined. After reading on Kindle I picked up paperback and met him at MUFON talk. Wood was actually there too. Got a picture with them both and got my copy signed. Impressive guy. Highly recommend.
While opening the UFO disclosure door a bit wider, Rudnyk demonstrates his conviction that truth sometimes has a large price. I appreciate his willingness to come forth. A good and quick read into the nefarious world of black ops. I eagerly await Intersect II.
