FORGET EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW

The much-anticipated conclusion to The Gamma Sequence series, Terminal Sequence reveals the secrets we have wondered about over the prior two books.

While preparing for his final round of life-saving treatments, Detective Hank DeShear agrees to work with Jaden Trinn and The Greyhound to shut down the remaining legs of Angelus Genetics’ illegal multi-national operations. Their ally, Dr. Carerra, is unable to help, forced away to appear in Washington D. C. to comply with what she thinks is a Congressional subpoena, in the hopes of getting leniency for actions her husband took while exposing Angelus’ gruesome activities. But the company Dr. Hauser founded plans to continue operating, buying political protection and stopping any would-be attackers in the harshest, most permanent ways possible. But when the next generation of Hauser-created child prodigies learns of the founder’s true plans, a horrifying reality is revealed that no one could have envisioned.

Oh my gosh! I’ve never read medical thrillers before and what a way to start! This is the 3rd book in the series and it was amazing. The writing was clean and to the point. Highly recommended!

4/5🤩 third book of the Gamma Series. Loving DeShear still chasing the bad guys, in an effort to stop the nemesis Doctor who is making and murdering off innocent people and children. Unfortunately in this book we lose some of the characters that we have grown to love through the last three books. This part bummed me out greatly. Only reason I dropped a star. However, we gain Constantine who is a wonderful addition to the storyline. Such a smart, vibrant, adventurous little girl.

Another winner ! Grips you from the start. A page turner. Need to read the first two books in the series to appreciate this book. You will be shocked at some of the events in the story line if you are already a Gamma Sequence fan. I know I was. Full of suspense and twists and turns but parts brought a tear to my eyes. Dan's writing has a way of making you feel like you know his characters personally and what effects them, effects you. Do they finally bring an end to Dr. Hauser and his organization? Did he escape again? Will have to read to see what happens. Two new characters were introduced, Constantine, a smart little girl who will steal your heart and Keeper 27/Helena, her watcher. Hope they will be in book 4 which I can't wait to read. Highly recommend. received an advance copy and this is my honest voluntary review.

This book truly grabbed me from the beginning and didn’t let go until the end. I actually read it twice to make sure I didn’t miss something, but also because it was so good. I read it all first on the 14th and then again on the 15th
Some of the description of the patient that is rolled into the Operating Room (OR) is pretty graphic, but it has to be as far as I am concerned. I am going to give a brief but thorough description as I can because I think it is important. To start off 2 men armed with rifles roll the gurney in, the stand outside the OR doors. As in a normal OR , even though this is anything but normal there are attendants who set up EKG, Respirator, IV Drips, blood pump, warming blankets but the unusual part cryogenic re-animation liquids. There is a TV Monitor hung up in the corner but not on to start with.
The patient is a pale old man with a portable heart monitor resting by his side. He is covered from neck down with a white sheet. But what van be seen is his eyes are closed, his exposed skin a mass of cracked white patches, curling upward and pulling away from the body. Raw, red tissue is seen underneath. When the sheet is pulled back there is a massive gunshot would in his chest.
The Doctor who has agreed to do this after looking at the body and the TV monitor comes on with same face, every bit as old and gray, but with intact skin and bright eyes.
He talks to th man in the monitor and said I can’t do this. It looks like I am working on a corpse and the body has not been preserved as it should have been. Maybe if I had a younger healthy body it would work. The big man who also came in basically says “Shut up and do your job, as he puts his hand on the weapon that is holster on his side. Dr. Arham said I can’t do this even though I was paid for it and it wired into my account I can’t do it.The man in the monitor said “This is a very disappointing development. The man in the monitor says to the big man with the gun, “Mr. Parker please remove the surgeon from the OR. Mr. Parker first shoots him in the chest and then in the head. The man in the monitor says, “We have underestimated the resolve of our personnel. Perhaps monetary incentives are no longer enough. Mr. Parker says “That’s why we have prepared the backup plan you recommended and it should be going on right now. We can commence as you wish.” “Tell your people to proceed immediately”. Parker nods and says “As you wish Dr. Hauser.”
Next we read where Dr Isabella Semillion had given a speech on cryogenics. As she is leaving to go meet her husband and children, she is kidnapped at gunpoint, told they have her husband Victor, her son Andre who loves nutter butter cookies and goes no where without his stuffed alligator Frederick, and her daughter Adele who has a pink birthmark behind her left ear. This way you know we couldn’t have got this info off the internet. They call her husband Victor and let’s her speak to him briefly to prove they are alive. They then show her a picture of The doctor who refused to do what they wanted after he was shot dead.
I don’t want to tell any of the names from previous books or any more from this book that were killed. I will say it was a lot. A good majority are people who are trying to put a stop to Angelus Genetics. Right now they all believe he is dead
We als meet a little five year old girl, Constantine, who is on of Dr Hauser’s creations. She has a Keeper #27, who watches over the children like a nanny, but Constantine is her favorite. Constantine was top of her class this past year, which was the third year in a row. She is best in Science, Math, Language Arts, in painting and drawing with a pencil and is quite a competitor on the playing field. She has the IQ and vocabulary of an American youth in private school education between the ages of 10-13 years old. We will learn more about Constantine and Keeper 27..
Trinn’s picture is broadcast all over London as the Terroist that was involved I. The Port of London. She barely manages to get away but she finds out for sure that Dr. Hauser is alive.
There is so much more fast paced action and I don’t want to give away anything I shouldn’t. If I could give this book more than five stars I would. It is a MUST READ, but I recommend you read the first two, Gamma Sequence & Rogue Elements and this one will make much more sense and they are also great reads. I wouldn’t want to read it as a stand-alone, but I guess you could but you would be missing so much depth of the characters and have a much better understanding of the plot. At the end I was thrilled to find out there is going to be a forth book in this series, The Keepers.
I recommend this book to anyone who likes thriller, especially medical thrillers. It was truly a GREAT READ!!!! It is a Riveting Medical Thriller.

I was sucked into this world right away. I haven’t read the first or second book but it was easy to follow along and see what was happening and who was who. I do feel like it would be even more rewarding to read the others first. But this is written where there’s no problem. Also, I don’t think it would spoil anything for the previous novels. Dr Hauser was something else. He reminds me of Hitler and ruling by fear. But he also had medical science and technology on his side. So scary. I read a review that said this wasn’t really a medical thriller but sci-fi. It’s both. I’m not sure how this reviewer didn’t think it was medical. Probably because it wasn’t the main focus as in hospital setting and patients.

It’s what could happen if too much knowledge and power were to get into the wrong hands. Mainly with genetics. Even though the drones at Hauser’s facility were like robots in actions, I felt like they were created from DNA and genetics. I haven’t read the previous books so maybe they explain more. Either way, any kind of control an evil scientist can get on someone would be scary. It reminded me of Hitler and what he could’ve done with cloning. It’s not too far fetched as a reviewer said. I’m a clinical scientist in a small hospital lab. I’ve worked in microbiology with the crazy bacteria and what it can do and how it mutates to overcome antibiotics thrown at it. Anything is possible. The only part that seemed hard to fathom was dr Hauser being able to be on the computer screen while his body was on life support on a slab.

Anyway, this book is fast moving and action is a mile a minute. I found myself holding my breath. I listened to the audiobook to and from work. The characters were so well written. It was hard to tell who to trust and who was bad. Anyone could be playing a role. I loved Keeper 27 and Constantine. And of course, Deshear. Not sure about spelling of his name. The narrator was amazing! One of the best I’ve heard. If you like action, you will love this.

Ramifications of creating humans in a laboratory and crimes to cover up the discards - 4 stars

Conspiracy to use life science to make slaves, armies and replacement body parts gives a new dimension to health care for the ultra-wealthy.

Making (and selling) body parts sounds like a great advancement for mankind until one realizes that the medically created lifeforms were not merely parts. In many cases, the clones were high functioning humans who had significant limitations programmed into them with a proprietary technology developed by Dr. Marcus Hauser and his company Angelus Genetics. Angelus Genetics had developed human clones and was disposing of his mistakes by burying them in mass graves.

Dr. Hauser had been shot in Indonesia and was not expected to live. The book opens with Angelus Genetics laboratories trying to revive the doctor's body; new and better clones were in development as well as the technology to transfer the essence of the doctor into a new body, using the recipient's physical body by "reprogramming".

Some government officials in high places were supportive of Angelus Genetics. The story gives glimpses of people trying to stop Dr. Hauser and Dr. Hauser's enablers. The most promising body to be a vessel for Dr. Hauser was a bright 5-year old clone named Constantine. Constantine's full time nurse was named "Keeper 27". They and "the Teacher" were the heart of this novel.

The plot and interplay for this book was the interplay between the workers trying to educate Constantine while a group of international police were trying to locate and eliminate Dr. Hauser.

There are several sequences of people near death, duplicity by officials of the United States as well as unexpected heroics. There is one great chase scene in a subway tunnel.

There is a fourth book in the series, The Gamma Sequence, Book 4. Sign me up.

I thought no one was safe in the second book, but no matter the age, no one is safe in book 3!

Working with Jaden, DeShear is getting life-saving treatments on the go while he's still trying to stop Dr. Hauser from killing more people and children!

Keeper 27 had always taken care of the children and had become very close to Constantine as she had taken care of her since she was a baby. Dr. Hauser thinks he is getting Keeper 27 reprogrammed, but she has help to make it look like it's complete, but really, not. She's tired of his sick, twisted playground and wants to help DeShear stop him.

Tristan and DeShear are kidnapped, and Dr. Hauser is trying to use them as vessels. He wants vessels to carry his consciousness until Constantine is ready so he can move his consciousness from one vessel to another to get eternal life.

I loved DeShear, Jaden (who's a bad a$$), Keeper 27, and Constantine in this 3rd book! This medical thriller series was amazing, and I highly recommend it! It's action nonstop never knowing who can be trusted!

Read Terminal Sequence or ANY book by Dan Alatorre — I guarantee it to be great!

Each book in this series reveals more of the insidious plot by the Angelus Genetics, now frightfully close to worldwide domination through their genetically-engineered “humans.” They’re wreaking bloody, systematic elimination of the heroes we’ve known, until finally the only ones left are Hank DeShear and Jaden Trinn. With their own deaths almost assured, the pair make a raid to assassinate Dr. Hauser, the evil mastermind leader. Once inside, they discover a that Angelus laboratories has a network of labs around the globe. Hank and Jaden have talents and steely determination, but have human susceptibilities.
This series knocked my socks off, and makes me think this could truly be happening out there. Alatorre creates perfect suspense in the ultimate good vs evil showdown. Read it — but remember to check often to see if you’re holding your breath, and act accordingly.

Dan Alatorre is the master of medical thrillers! Diabolical!

Dr. Hauser is dead and Angelus Genetics has been dismantled so who is kidnapping cryobiologists in broad daylight? The crime has Hauser’s “fingerprints all over it, but that would mean that Hauser survived the shotgun blast to his chest and that DeShear, Tristan, Trinn, Maya and the rest of the team who fought against Hauser’s human trafficking and illegal organ harvesting atrocities will be in the crosshairs and targeted for elimination.

This fast-paced medical thriller had me in its grip from page one. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. If you haven’t read the first two books in the series yet, this book will make you want to. This is an incredible, spine-tingling series!

CAUTION! If you start this book it will consume you. I have not read the first two books in the series yet, but they are on the top of my reading list now.

This book is a roller coaster that will take you places you have never imagined. From the beginning I was on the edge of my seat through every twist and turn. Dan weaves multiple story lines together in a way that heightens the tension and keeps you focused right where he wants you.

While this book is the third in the series it stands on its own and grabs you by the throat and makes you work for every breath. Block out an afternoon, it will be time well spent! Of course you will have to block out two more afternoons to read the first two, and who knows how many more Dan can come up with!

A roller coaster ride!
After reading “Rogue Elements”, the second book in this medical thriller series, I realized that Dan Alatorre set the bar extremely high if he wanted to write a better novel… HE DID! The character development is excellent, the story and plot keep you engaged and he does not disappoint his fans with edge-of-your seat action and thrills.
I believe Dan had to have spent hours upon hours researching cryogenics and it shines through. The attention spent on detailed description is paramount to this story and is written in such a way that it is totally believable.
Dean Koontz, watch out! Dan Alatorre is on his way.

Terminal Sequence is the pulse-pounding conclusion to The Gamma Sequence trilogy. There are so many twists and turns, betrayals, and backstabbing exploits that kept me turning pages as fast as I could. There are so many murders I began to wonder if anyone was going to make it out alive. I couldn't give this one 5 stars because I felt the genetics applications went a little beyond believable. Plus, why would anyone follow the orders of someone who wasn't really alive? Also, what happened to all the children from book one? All the drones from book 2? All the tansuits and instructors from book 3? I felt there were too many loose ends left unexplained.

The monster that was Dr Hauser, the genetic manipulater, trying to ensure himself ever lasting life, has survived a gunshot to the chest in Indonesia, by being placed in cryogenic suspension.
However, it wasn't prepared for before hand, and skin cell deterioration is slowly killing what's left of him.
With one or more backup plans in place, our band of intrepid investigators are being lead a merry chase across various countries, trying to stop further body-part farms from flourishing.
The bad guys have multiple partners, all in high positions in various governments. So it's a very treacherous task.

I received an ebook from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review. Dan Alatorre has written an absolutely astounding trilogy! I am a medical professional and I was not disappointed in his writing at all. His wording and scenes were exemplary. He has written stories that could some day in the not so distant future possibly occur. Technology is growing faster than the human brain can absorb! We, as the characters in these books, are creating things that may come back and bite us in the ass!! Enjoy! 📚

WOW!! Another riveting story by Mr. Alatorre. This series is quite a ride. Once you start, you can't stop because you can't believe what is happening and you can't figure out who is the bad guy and who is the good guy. It's also almost impossible to believe that someone could be that evil and egocentric as Dr. Hauser. I thought this was the last book in the series and now I see there's another one. I'm not sure I can take another one. LOL!! Excellent writing, Mr. Alatorre, just excellent!

Fantastical Thriller

Well, some plot points tax credulity, but the dark megalomania (and it’s definitely dark and depraved) is counterbalanced and even ultimately outweighed by the author’s relentless optimism.

Having read the fourth volume before 1, 2 and 3, I know what happens next and it’s just as, if not more, harrowing; installment five is due later this year.

My hope is to see Constantine continue to develop in a loving and respectful (if it can’t at least be safe!) environment.

This trilogy of books is action-packed and extremely engaging!

The core of the book is sci-fi/technology/medical driven, so you have to be ready for that, but if you like that or are ready for it, I would highly suggest this series!

I found myself rooting for the main characters throughout the book and felt like I knew them! They are developed very well throughout the books!

Can’t wait for the 4th one in December!

Although Dr Hauser’s body is slowly falling apart, his digital version is still in charge of the illegal and ruthless genetic engineering program designed to make him immortal…
Terminal Sequence is the third book in the Gamma Sequence series, in which Dan Alatorre successfully merges politics, ethics and science into yet another thrilling page-turner. This series just keeps getting better with each new book!

I enjoyed this series, sometimes it jumped around a bit and I was wondering how we got here or how did that happen, but it was all good in the end. Not sure I'll stick with it because this ended really well on a good note for the first three books. I'm glad I gave it a chance, it was actually a good read.

This series has been fast paced and engrossing. I didn’t think the series could get any more tense and riveting, but I was wrong. I couldn’t put the book down, but was sad when it was over. So many twists and turns and unexpected course changes. A definite “must read”.

Scary, Disturbing and Believable

Just finished Book 3 and OMG.....

I know this author must have something up his sleeve to write a Book 4. I believe that there may be more trouble afoot and it possibly lies with the Keepers.

Can't wait for Book 4 to hit the bookstore!

Another adventure with the characters from the world of drones and evildoers. I liked this book for the non-stop chaos. Surprises at every turn. Thankfully a happy ending saved the day.
