I randomly found this at the thrift store. Full on sobs by the end. I feel like it was a gift from heaven. My new favorite children’s book. It will be displayed in my house for sure. Mole is the friend I aspire to be. I’m obsessed

The language here reminds me strongly of the "Winnie the Poo" books.

If you love them, you will likely love this modern-day version. Not by British Author A.A. Milne (deceased in 1956) but by Hiawyn Oram.

Badger is clearly depressed in this book. I was a bit surprised at how dark it was for him. It has a cute ending but still.

We all are prone to falling into depression and self-pity once in awhile and in this story it's Badger's turn. His friend, Mole, thinks of an endearing way to let Badger know just how important he is in his community.

Whimsical illustrations.
