Alisa Clickenger transformed her life and you can too.
A shy, depressed housewife in the midst of a painful divorce, Alisa realized that she needed a drastic change in her life. She set out on a course of self-discovery in the most radical way she could imagine, and learned how to ride a motorcycle.
In the process of becoming a competent motorcycle rider, Alisa overcame numerous self-limiting beliefs that had affected her self-confidence. Learning to operate the motorcycle was just the beginning. Alisa also learned to navigate unknown territories, think logically in the face of adversity, and stay calm during unexpected situations.
Perhaps the most profound gift resulting from learning to ride a motorcycle is that she became a voice and a leader of other women during their journeys of self-exploration. Alisa is now a world traveler and entrepreneur living life on her own terms. Through motorcycling, Alisa has found a community of like-minded women, rediscovered parts of herself that were long buried, and has discovered her life's purpose.
This book inspires how to build confidence through motorcycling and is aimed at new and seasoned riders alike. It is for anyone wanting to experience the freedom and personal transformation that two wheels can offer in order to gain confidence in all areas of their lives.
I absolutely loved this book and thoroughly enjoyed reading it! Alisa is quite adventurous! It was so inspiring for me especially when she spoke about changing the negative thoughts going thru our brain to “empowering words” as we approach certain obstacles not only on a motorcycle but also in life! I totally did this the day after I finished this book! I was riding unfamiliar terrain (that normally would have scared the poop out of me) and changed my attitude to a positive mantra... “You got this!” SUCCESS 🙌 All the way! Then rode my bike 700 miles! Her book is a Definite read for pro and amateur bikers! We all need constant reminders! I even shared this book with my husband who totally appreciated her thoughts on prepping for a trip and going thru the same motions every time before mounting your bike so you don’t lose or forget anything! Well written Alisa! Thanks for sharing your journey! ❤️🏍
Find yourself and if you can do it on a motorcycle I picked this book to read as a non rider working on a motorcycle event. There are many great thoughts on motorcycle subjects and life in general. So hip on the story and take it for a spin. It is worth your while.
This book made me excited to push myself and learn new things. Love how the author shows that even with many years of experience, you still have to push through fear.
