First time in reading this author with I am about at the end of this type of story line but thought I would give her a try. Once I got past the characters names it was all good. They just struck a funny bone for some reason. Jane has her hands full with her life. John himself does not have it much better and when the two come together you find yourself following them. Wrong time can turn around but it does go quickly. It does have some heat but it also has a story which is a plus in my thinking. You get a taste of what happens when things go upside down with where you land.

This was my first book I've read from this author; I'm happy to say I enjoyed it. This was a quick read for me since I wanted to know what was going to happen next. The author tells a good story about a young woman who is at a place at the wrong time and taken hostage.
This book was written in such a way that it makes it feel believable and you wish that if it ever happened to you then it would be like this. Jane is out exploring when she stumbles upon some illegal activities; she is taken to the boss to be dealt with. She meets the son of the boss and unexpectedly to her she is attracted to him. John is force to be reckon with; he is a sexy blue eyed man with a take charge attitude.
This is a story of Jane finding herself in a bad situation but then decides to make the most of it and finds love. If you're looking for a quick read that will keep your finger turning the pages then this is the one for you.

Jane had an average life with little excitement. That is, until she ran across a weapons trade and becomes a hostage to a notorious criminal family.
John needs a wife and when Jane, an innocent, is brought into his families home he makes a choice to marry her and save her from an imminent death. It helps that he's also attracted to her.
The story played out really well. I loved how the timid girl seemed to find herself and became a bada@$. In a situation that could have broken most women she flourished and John was a strong influence. I felt it ended to quick though

This is a story about Jane. She's a normal girl who keeps to herself. One night she stumbles upon something she shouldn't and because of that she's taken hostage. Then enters John Rhodes he's the son of well known crime boss Joey Rhodes. And let's just say the reason Jane is trapped. Jane's heard the rumors about the Rhodes family. But as soon as John and Jane set eyes on each other, not only is it a instant attraction but it is a powerful connection that John hasn't felt. So John does something crazy and asks Jane to marry him. But the rest I'll leave you to read.

Another amazing book by Bree Pierce. With Bree you always get some new and amazing. Taking on the mobster lifestyle this time, she did such an amazing job with all of the characters. I immediately fell in love with the characters especially Brock. It shows the seedy side but also shows the love that a crime family feels for each other. Grab this book you will not regret it..

Page turner from the beginning with great interactions between the characters. I lovers reading how Jane and Johns relationship grew.
Bree has done a fantastic job of showing the life, love and support a mafia family has for each other. Hope there is more from this family.

Wow I don’t even know where to start, the author knows how to hook you and keep you from the first page until the last. It is short but not so sweet as Jane is in the wrong place at the wrong time which ends up not only changing her world but herself when she is kidnapped and held hostage by a crime family. What follow is will rock your world as much as it does Jane’s.
Jane is an innocent girl who doesn’t know much about the world, she is quite and keeps to herself with few or no friends. her life is a little on the boring side ok a lot on the boring side. One night changes all that in the best or worse way you will have to decide. What I can tell you is it is a wild ride where Jane will have to decide if she like her life as it is or will she grab the bull by the horn holding on tight for the wildest ride of her life.
When Jane is brought in and John sees her the attraction is great. From the moment their eyes touch they feel a spark that lights their world. Love or lust it hasn’t yet to been decided but lust works pretty well at this point. John is being pushed to settle down but can’t find the right women for him that is until Jane walks in and his life takes a change, for better or worse is yet to be decided but he is willing to give it one heck of a try. What to do what to do oh hell lets go for the gold and see where this takes them. With the decision made needs to find out how well she will fit into his world, can she deal with the issue a crime family bring or will the hand that is dealt bring her to her knees… the plot thickens as one must go against their father and what about the women the father has decided would make the prefect wife. The plot thickens again when there are other love interests. Will someone be there to hold dear daddies hand when his head explode or will daddy lay down the law, can Jane be saved before they killer or sale her? So many questions and so little time.
I loved this from start to finish, I adored the characters and love watching Jane come out of her shell. At times I was hanging on the edge with my hands over my face waiting for the shoe to drop. The plot is one wild ride that keeps the reader invested as the author pulls you in taking you into a world you know nothing about. It was exciting, thrilling and at times very emotional. I found myself yelling at the characters, begging for them to do this or that. The passion is real you can almost feel it come off the pages. There were times I was glad I wasn’t Jane and other times when I wish I was. John is so alpha, I know he comes from a crime family but I just couldn’t help but fall in love with him.
What a very unique story with complex characters. It’s wild and wonderful I loved it from start to finish, could not put it down. I just wish it had been longer I wasn’t ready to let these characters go. I haven’t read anything by this author before but I sure can’t wait to see more of her work.

Spending the day relaxing and taking some photos, Jane stumbles across something she shouldn’t have. Jane ends up tied up, gagged and blind folded while a deal for something she wasn’t meant to be there for goes down, only thing is the boss they men called said that they couldn’t touch her.
Jane is sweet and stuck in a life that she believes is right for her, John knows there is some chemistry and thinks that he can stop what his father has planned for him, and, doesn’t want Jane to be sent anywhere else, realising that he has strong feelings for her and can see she has feelings for him too.
Jane battles a lot, realising that she didn’t really like her life before, and the fact that John’s father doesn’t really like her and ruined the plans he had for John. The more she learns about the family, the more Jane realises that she could live this life. You see Jane embrace, her new life and everyone in the family start to adore her.

February 24, 2018Jane is headed home from a visit with her parents and the curious sight-seeing in her winds her smack dab in the middle of a mofia gun drop. She's kidnapped and taken back to the Boss's house. Joey Rhodes has a policy where he doesn't kill innocents, women and children, but he still has to do something with her. She's held prisoner for the time. His son, John, is sent to attend to her wounds and is shocked by the way this woman affects him. He spends a little time with her and there is no denying that the spark is there. In a few days Joey is having an engagement party where John is to announce who is wife will be. Everyone already suspects who he will chose. John has other plans when he finds out who Joey will be trading Jane off to. John just hopes that Joey will be understanding and forgive him and that Jane will as well. He know how he feels and he thinks she feels the same way, but he can only pray she's cut out for this life. He knows how much of a wildcat she was when she was kidnapped and if she can tap into that, she'll be just fine. Only time will tell.

How does a mild and meek girl turn into a confident, strong, take charge woman. Give her the intense love of a man who makes her feel protected yet shows her how to be a woman who takes no Cr*p when it comes to those that she loves and cares about. It is odd that she charged so quickly and completely. But I really enjoyed the story behind it, there was some violence in it but I can almost see the need for it. The story was pretty much about the Mob/Mafia or whatever they are called and I'm sure there is violence in there. At the end I wanted to know more about Jane and John, and their future.

Living a boring life with a boring desk job she now thrown into a world she never could've imagined for herself! Will she choose to embrace the chance to change and become someone beside plain boring ole Jane?
I liked this book. It wasn't a favorite of mine. I felt the story line wasn't fully meshed out. There were details that could've been given and honestly the story felt a bit rushed.

Not a typical mofia romance
This was my first time reading this author and I loved her female character. In this book we have Jane who is just an average woman trying to live her simple life. What I really liked about her character is that when she is put into hard positions she figures out that she is stronger then she new. I always love to see strong women who lead over the ones who him behind the alpha men. Don't get me wrong John is still a strong male character but they are on a more equal level. This is a fast read that you will enjoy!!!

First time reading this author let me just say wow.. the story was amazing... you took a little sweet and innocent girl and turned her hard core!!

A refreshingly unique love story, this novella took me by surprise. Yes, as I read I really could anticipate the direction the storyline was heading, but it didn’t take away my eagerness to watch it unfold! So not your typical boy meets girl love story! The love duo did get hot and steamy, but the scenes were well place and just enough. I totally appreciated there wasn’t any overkill! Loved it and have no qualms about recommending this!

Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time. That's what happened to Jane, she was just a victim of circumstance. However, while being help by some really bad people she meets the head honchos son, John. They feel a connection and that's where the drama unfolds. Dear old daddy had plans for John and they don't include his hostage. Will these 2 prevail or cave to dad?

This book was outstanding. I couldn’t put it down. This author has a new fan Jane and John's story is full of suspense and intrigue. I love how Jane rose to the occasion and turned from mouse to lion!

What a great story! The had me hooked from the first page until the last. The characters are complex and intriguing; they had me wanting to know what was going to happen next. I look forward to reading more from this author.

I enjoyed this book.
It's an insta-everything sort of tale. But I kind of like the characters, and Jane, well she ends up being a right surprise, and not at all what I expected.
It's well worth reading and I'm looking forward to the second book now.

Amazing

Bree Pierce has written a really enjoyable story that really got me hooked from the first moment I started reading the story, I really liked the main characters and storyline of the story.

She is taken to an unknown location where the blindfold and duct tape is removed before she meets “the boss.” The boss is not sure yet what to do with her, because she is innocent so he sends her to the guest room to be locked up until he can come up with a plan.
John, the son of Joey “the boss” is told to get the first aide kit and attend to the hostage. John takes a good look at Jane will dressing her wounds and decides that she is completely innocent and that he does not want to see her killed. While Jane is trying to plot an escape John is trying to figure out a way to keep Jane safe.
This was my first book I've read from this author; I'm happy to say I enjoyed it. This was a quick read for me since I wanted to know what was going to happen next. The author tells a good story about a young woman who is at a place at the wrong time and taken hostage.
