Not really sure why you would divorce a person to prove that you love them?
I started reading this out of curiosity but it’s quite disappointing. Once again, divorce is made a joke which just does not sit well with me.
The MC isn’t very likeable in all honesty? Like what is he playing at? I just expect my husband to be good in bed without discussing what I like? I will pretend I’m someone I’m not with the person I married. I actually only married him coz he looks good in uniform?
This story was getting more and more ridiculous with each chapter.
Don’t think I will revisit this.

this was actually both boring and terrible. other than the utter lack of chemistry between the ML and MC the author tried to give this an unnecessary plot and failed horribly at it.
tell me why they get divorced and like two weeks later they're having sex even though the "boring" sex was the reason they got separated in the first place.
tell me why the hell there's an "the ex-husband was an investigator and now his enemy ran out of jail and the MC's life is in possible danger" issue here even though we weren't giving any shits about this guy's career other than saying how insufferable it was for the MC to tune into this guy's needs and adapt to his shift schedule.
and please do fucking TELL ME WHY the author decided that a student committing suicide was necessary for the two to become closer and then paid dust to that young girl and her death and the fucking issues that could've maybe been talked about but never did because we're here for these two characters to fuck but not really because censorship is a thing.
this one is a must miss.

This was surprisingly enjoyable to read. I don’t usually read divorced couples’ stories but I am starting to find rekindling love to be quite interesting. The pace was just right and there are a lot of funny scenes as well since the MC’s thoughts were transparent to us readers. I can understand Tong-laoshi’s thinking since it is really hard to find someone who can accept you for who you are and I am glad they both ended up together despite taking off both their masks. The author mentioned his notes that someone requested a honeymoon scene unfortunately because of censorship, he couldn’t write it. But to be honest, I thought there would finally be a wedding ceremony scene for their second marriage and I felt disappointed it ended just like that.

this is literally the best thing ive ever found? the pacing? just right. the plot? light and funny and realistic, exactly what i need right now. the mc? MY DEAR GOD AMAZING. the ml? SUPER DUPER BEST BOYFRIEND. their relationship? GOD TIER.
there is, of course, a lot of things that i can't relate to, after all, this is about a literal adults in the topics of marriage, not only im still far from achieving whatever was that, ill also probably will never touch the topic in the first place hhh
BUT IT STILL GOOD. both tong qiu and huo zhixing are THE GREATEST PERSON ALIVE. they're not so much of, you know a "unique character" they're a very typical light romance danmei characters, but they're very lovable, adorable, so compatible with each otheR, AND SUCH A GENTLEMEN
To read this if you want something stimulating must be boring, but if you are looking for a funny light read PLEASE READ THIS.
anyway pls do pay attention to the trigger warnings! although this is a light read the topic sometimes could get heavy and dark
there is, of course, a lot of things that i can't relate to, after all, this is about a literal adults in the topics of marriage, not only im still far from achieving whatever was that, ill also probably will never touch the topic in the first place hhh
