"The greatest revelations of your life, will occur without any heads up."

Kate left her house in the morning, not knowing that everything was about to change. At the end of a routine day at medical school, she finds herself unconscious, crammed into the trunk of a yellow car and taken to an isolated cabin in the heart of a desolate forest.

Andrew had been searching his whole life for the one who disappeared. He was only a young boy at the time, but clearly understood what love was. He knows that his conscience won't be clear until he reminds her all that she has forgotten, and for that, he needs two weeks.

Mr. Briggs is close to losing his mind. His only daughter, the one for whom he abandoned his entire world, didn’t return home. He collaborates with the police, revealing pieces of his past he hoped to hide forever, and soon, the helplessness brings him to his breaking point.

Katrina is a thrilling and mysterious romance novel. It is a story about different perspectives, childhood memories, lost love, betrayal and murder. Just when you think you understood everything, some new detail from the past will emerge and will shade a new light of deception.

Holy cow, what a ride! This book was nothing like I thought it was going to be. I didn't guess the twists and I had no idea what was going to happen next. This was a fun and suspenseful read that I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I loved this book. It's not my typical genre, but I was recommended it by a friend. I started reading before bed, which was a huge mistake! I ended up staying up WAAAYYYY too late to keep reading. I loved the main character Kate/Katarina. She is witty and snarky and someone I would have loved to have been friends with. They author's writing style also has a great tempo and moves the story along quickly. Each chapter ends with a cliffhanger, making it impossible not to keep reading. I highly recommend this book, but I also recommend starting it when you have plenty of free time to read :) I'm looking forward to more books by this author.

This is my first time reading Alona's book. At first, I wasn't sure how this book made me feel but then after some few chapters, I couldn't put it down. I love it, the characters and plot twist of the story. It all makes sense at the end.

And also, this book conveys that we should not take anything for granted. Let's not judge anyone from their past, especially if you don't know the whole truth!

I hope your other books will be translated in English soon, Alona! And please, keep writing.

Talking about hitting the road with a bang, this author has done just that with her debut novel. A story of mystery and suspense, of twisted and forgotten memories washed away with coercion, returned with prejudice. This author weaves a tale wonderfully not allowing you to do anything but follow along. It's a twisted story where it's hard to understand who the villain is until the entire story unfolds. The truths are so twisted and intertwined with lies it's hard to discern. What is easily seen is the fierce love and respect between father and daughter. The connection between her and Andrew cannot be denied and while his actions may have been taken with a singular purposes how quickly it all turned. Revelations, resurfaced memories and now a need to know just who Katarina really and truly is. Awesome read from a new author. Love her style and these characters. An emotional read that will do crazy things to your head with the masterful way this author feeds truth and lies and where it all leads. There's no denying that there are romantic undertones but this book is all about mystery and intrigue.

I think I'm in love with Andrew and Kate!
This is the first book by Alona that I read and I have to say that the writing is excellent. The way the characters are carefully built makes you feel like you're in the story. Just when I thought I thought I know what was going on, a new chapter shuffled all the cards and left me breathless and hungry for more.
She gave just the right amount of details to keep me engaged without making me loose interest and I can honestly say that I enjoyed the banter between the hero and heroine.
I liked that she was strong and said he mind (maybe to bluntly sometimes) and I loved that it made no difference to him. I loved to see the trust building between them and I can't wait to read another book by this author. I highly recommend reading this book.

In one word- WOW
This book got me hooked and biting my nails!
I just couldn't stop reading it!
Kate.. Katerina.. Two names, one girl...

This book tells us about a dedicated, dependable, predictable young woman who aspire to become a doctor.
Then, it all changes when all of a sudden she gets kidnapped by none other then our lovely Andrew.

Loyal, dependable, funny, good looking Andrew.

As the story progress,  we descover all the skeletons that were left in the closet in Costa Rica, and we get to know Katerina - an independent, opinated young girl who wanted to concer the world!

Intriguing, thrilling, confusing, romantic, surprising and funny!

Whould definitely recommend it!

I truly enjoyed this book. For those who love a mix of romance, mystery and suspense it is highly recommended! I could not put this book down, so I read it wherever I could. It is a compelling story that took me on a ride of tension, compassion and romance. I loved the heroine Kate. She is strong and brave. Every time I thought I understood everything, there came a surprise as Kate's past revealed itself and another layer was brought up until the great ending. I give Katarina 5 stars. Waiting for Alona's next book.

Kate (KATARINA) is an awesome heroine! She's snarky, has a crazy attitude and a swears like there is no tomorrow at start. That only emphasis the the change she went through as details from her past come clear.
And Andrew… yammy!!! He is such a good friend to her and it doesn't hurt that his
absolutely gorgeous!!!
And Mr. Briggs... I'd rather say nothing about him right now. Better you read for yourself, but keep in mind, he's not as bad as you're going to think he is LOL
A must read book. Loved it!

One of the best books I've read.
Tense, intriguing, confusing, engaging. Need to read to understand.
Who is Katrina? Who is she really? Is her life as she knew them right or is her life one big lie? Who would explain it to her? And in what ways?
I enjoyed reading, Alona writes flowingly and engages the reader, the information slowly gathers and mesmerizes the brain. Already waiting for the next book.

A must read romantic and thrilling book. I mean.., Hmm… I'm just... Hmm… I’m still not at the point of making sense over here. My heart is pounding, my mind is racing and I really feel like I went though and bumpy enjoyable ride.
I loved that Kate is a strong opinionated woman. I had enough of winey weepy heroines. This one mad me proud to be a woman, yet made me want to be braced in Andrew's arms for to peace and mind. See? I'm still not making sense.
You have to read it!

OMG - Katrina is an amazing book! I really enjoyed reading it!
I was eager to see where the storyline will take me and even though I thought I knew what was going on, I was surprised every time. By the time I read the last page, my pulse almost was so fast, I thought I would faint.
It is highly recommend! Place it on you TO READ list, if you know what's good for you :)

This is not the first book I have read by the author and every time she surprises me.
She managed to get me into the plot of the book with such ease, I felt like I had stepped into the characters world.
The characters were strong and it was easy to fall in love with them, the experience ended too quickly, I am waiting impatiently for more books by the author.

A must read book! A mix of mystery suspense romance book you just can't put down till the end!
Every page reveals more unexpected information from the past and you never know what will happen next.
Katarina... what a beautiful name she learned to love from her kidnapper... or shall I say her rescuer.
I loved this book, just like any other of Alona's books!

Well written

Interesting and excellent. I enjoyed this story of romance, intrigue and lies. Lies by others and lies we tell ourselves. A fun book to read because it's different style than most mysteries I read.

This novel isn’t usually my genre of choice, but I may have just been converted!
.
Thrilling, mysterious, and empowering, KATARINA is a novel that kept me reading through a difficult time ❤️
.
Jarden’s protagonist is headstrong and opinionated, and her feminine power is emphasised even moreso when she meets Andrew. The two characters bring suspense and twisted truths to the forefront of the story, and as the plot line develops, we learn to realise who the real villain is 📚

Missing the Wow Factor

Could been much better. It's definitely not what the positive ratings make it out to be.

Glad it was free.

Decent Read

I think the title needs to be changed. To me this wasn't a suspense or thriller. There's also grammatical errors that need correcting.
