Never Him

Rate this book

First impressions are everything.

When Lisa met Nick, he showed her the definition of an asshole. There was no way he would ever be someone she’d date, especially not after he thought she was the one who should apologize to him.

But when their paths crossed again, and again, she realized maybe he wasn’t that bad after all.

Or maybe it was his dimples that caught her off guard.

Can Lisa and Nick move on from their first impressions of each other? Is it possible to fall for the guy you despise?

Lisa x Nick

I almost loved this.
I loved the friendship, I loved the camaraderie between the girlfriends, I loved the black jobs 😏
What I wanted more of was the banter between the enemies. I wanted more of them, period. I knew they were beefing, but the interaction between them was sparse.
Nick and Lisa almost felt forced imo. But they got their HEA.

It took Nick and Lisa a minute to get there! The one thing I didn't understand was why Lisa was so bothered by how they met! She was a bit dramatic for me! And held a grudge honestly for the wrong person! I’m glad she had to eat her words!

Never Him to Only Him

Whew chile, Lisa and Nick gave me a run for my money! I mean, I wasn't sure they were ever gonna get it together. But Lisa and Nick's chemistry was strong, their connection was potent. Even if they started out rocky. And stayed rocky for a good while. But the fact that these two kept randomly running into each other was a testament that they were meant to meet and connect. I loved it when they finally have each other a chance. I really enjoyed the rollercoaster ride this story was! 5 🌟 Star Read!!!!!

Enemies makes the best relationship

I have been waiting on the last friend to find love and to see who her guy would be. I knew with the friendship between Anaya, Marley, and Lisa it would be an interesting relationship. I was right, and glad Lisa and Nick found each other. Their relationship started off quite rocky but love prevails at the end. I love how Lisa realized she wanted someone she could grow with that had not already traveled the world or being to all of the fine-dining spots. She wanted someone that she can make everlasting memories together as they grew together. She realized that dating someone as wealthy as Devon was not fulfilling and exciting to her. It was great she realized that although she and Nick were not millionaires they both did what they love and that is having careers that helped the community. Nick being a basketball coach outside of being a manager at a hotel and her being a fundraiser for the homeless vets. This was another great read.

I do recommend this book, I would definitely start with Anaya story (#Future Husband), then Marley (Only One Night) and then this one it would all come together and make sense. I like the fact that Lisa and Marley are in the same family now. Their kids are literally going to be cousins.

I just love a good enemies to lovers romance trope! Nick and Lisa's interactions in this storyline were so entertaining. I loved how Lisa held onto that grudge and refused to apologize. At first I was kind of annoyed that the author didn't just tell why Lisa hated Nick so much but I'm glad she made us wait for a few chapters. I also liked that the main characters had their own lives outside of bumping into each other in random places. I liked that we got to see both characters explore other relationships/situationships. I also really liked their friends. I took my time reading this story and I'm glad I did. I liked it!

The problem with having folks in common is that you find your paths crossing over and over. Nick and Lisa did not have a good first encounter but time is on their side. They had chemistry even though they didn't seem !like they were going to get it together, proximity and meeting over and over helps them get there. I enjoyed their rollercoaster ride to coupledom.

This book will have you all up in your feelings.
There are many enemies to lover books out. However this one has a interesting twist, and I enjoyed it.

This is the first time I have ever read anything from this author. I am definitely looking forward to seeing more from this author.

read it

I really enjoy books by this author so I went I to the story with good vibes and was not disappointed. Nick and Lisa meet ands have unsavory first impressions of each other. Mutual friendships and fate keep throwing them in each other’s paths and eventually they decide to clean the slate between them and acknowledge there may be a little more in the air besides animosity between them. The enemies to lovers is a relatable theme. Great book.

Meh.

I actually didn’t even go past chapter 1.
The formatting kept throwing me off.
Spaces and paragraphs when it’s the same scene and setting.

I’ve never seen this style of writing for a novel.
Literally written like a poem with verses.

It’s thrown me completely off and I just cannot go about reading something that has breaks in it but no change in setting . It absolutely does not flow in my brain.

Hard pass for me.

Funny as hell

These two did not get along at all! That’s an understatement. Lisa couldn’t stand Nick and despite the fizzle of attraction, she wasn’t budging on her view of him as an asshole. Nick could have been nicer but he chose to not back down which caused these two to almost miss out on something great.

Great Story

I love the enemy to friends to lovers stories. This one was quite interesting because Lisa felt Nick owed her an apology, but I didn't. The resort messed up not him so they should have comp a sister. I was glad Nick won her over. Devon was a turd. Very undeserving of Lisa's time or attention. I liked your character building great job, great story.

Love unexpected

I think both Lisa and Nick were hooked at first sight of them meeting; but Lisa was able to cover her attraction to Nick by declaring them as enemies because of the circumstances with caused them to meet. It was an enjoyable journey of seeing them become more than enemies.

Good read

Nick and Lisa met before not on good terms. They end up placed together at a their best friend/cousin wedding. Can she sustain the dislike she has for Nick or was it attraction all along? Nick mom sets a challenge and he doesn't back down just to prove her wrong or does he?

Great romance novel

I really liked the characters and the evolution of the main characters' love story. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt like the ending was a bit abrupt. I was looking forward to the details on how they got to the events of the end of the epilogue versus just skipping to it. Overall, great read nonetheless.

Nick and Lisa had a bad first encounter but due to her best friend marrying his favorite cousin they now have to be in each other's presence. Will they stay enemies or will they release all the sexual tension between them?

It was him

And yes, Nick was the better choice for Lisa. Their relationship started off like a trip down a rocky road in a rickety vehicle with bad tires. They grew into a perfectly matched couple....A nice story...

Once she stopped hating him and actually gave him a chance, it worked out better for her. He may not have all the money in the world but he was a gentleman that cared about others and treated her with respect.

Not a believer!

I’m just not sold on Nick and Lisa as a couple. They spent more time at each other necks than they did as a loving couple. In fact, Lisa was more interested in Devon than she was Nick. Nick just came across as the fall back guy.

More like frenemies to buddies

I was so involved with Nick and Lisa's shenanigans and back and forth. They could never seem to do the right thing at the same damn time. Then...finally.

Short and sweet

This was a beautiful love story. It had me from the first page. Even though it wasn't a 500 page book it was sort and sweet and didn't lack on the details. For anyone wanting a short read of love; this is the story to read

Until you try!

I did not understand how Lisa blamed Nick for the mistake the hotel made. I also did not understand what made her reconsider his offer. Their antagonistic banter was cute and funny, and their courtship was nice. I’m glad they gave it a shot.

Loved it

Nick and Lisa had a love hate relationship from some mishap that happened by accident and she held a grudge for it. Money isn't always what's best for people sometimes the simple things in life are way better and Lisa found that out quickly. Great book to read.

Enjoyable

Nick and Lisa were a trip, Lisa more than Nick through. Funny how someone that you can't stand can turn into your person and everyone around you can see it except you. I love friends to lovers but this enemies to lovers is my first and I recommend this book.

Lisa and Nick thought they hated one another but as fate would have it, they were truly a perfect match. It's true opposites attract. I loved how they kept up the car and mouse chase but in the end he was just what she needed. A happy ending to a great story!

Whew

Lisa fought the good fight. Holding a grudge against Nick about something that wasn’t his fault. Now he absolutely could have handled it better but still lol

They finally let go of the past and made it work
