It's easy to fall in love with a McCain, but it isn't always easy to keep one.
Meet the McCain siblings: Drake, the adorably sweet high school teacher. Sage, the ambitious corporate shark. Lake, the tortured Marine. And Kale, the world-famous model without a care in the world. Different as can be, but always there for each other.
Keary Taylor is the USA TODAY bestselling author of over twenty novels. She grew up along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains where she started creating imaginary worlds and daring characters who always fell in love. She now splits her time between a tiny island in the Pacific Northwest and Utah, with her husband and their two children. She continues to have an overactive imagination that frequently keeps her up at night.

DNF. I stopped reading 7% into this boxed set, which is probably 28% into the first book. There was just no tension, no risk. I had no idea what the stakes were. The teachers had an instant connection and were making out in the library stacks and in janitor closets. What was the point? I didn’t get any stakes from the blurb either. *shrug* I even jumped ahead to book 2, but as soon as Sage started the narrative stating her name and job like it was an application, I said, I’m outta here.
I just found a great new author. I loved that the whole series was in one book set. The first 2 books the writing seemed a little immature (meaning new writer), but once I started reading these books I just couldn't put it down. My favorite was of Kale's story. I can't wait to read more books by Keary Taylor.
An awesome story about a family "The McCain's" that all started with Robert and Robin. Raising their children who became so different with their choices of how they grew and decided the paths they followed as the became adults. Much love, success, happiness and suffering in four adventure stories that was amazing. I didn't want them to end.
Brilliant four stories. At first I wasn't certain how I'd feel reading these being born a McCain but I was really intrigued reading these four books and love all the differences that also meld into the quilt of the McCain clan. Great reading!
Each book was a gem. Great characters I felt I knew. Each story was unique and built my knowledge of the McCain family. By the fourth book I felt like a member of the family. I shared their joy and cried at their sorrow. Thank you.
I love this family! Something for everyone. Some of them sweet, sad, funny. There is all walks of life in this one family. And if works, just like in life. I laughed and cried several times. Very well written. Could not stop reading.
I posted individual reviews on each book. So, I'm just going to put my favorite things of the entire series here.
I love how each couple grew throughout each book.
Even though each McCain got their own book, the saga feels like it tells the story of the entire family. I think that is my favorite part of this series. With a lot of series, you meet the characters and in each book, you sometimes catch a glimpse of them again later one. But in the McCain saga, it was kind of easy to forget that each book was a stand alone. They all just flowed so nicely. The other perk to that is, they definitely can be read as stand alones but it's just so much better reading them in order.
I also loved the "clean-ness" of the series. While I typically like a little steam to my novels, I didn't miss it here. The kissing scenes were intense and beautifully written! I loved that the couples didn't rush into sex for their various reasons! While I like the steam, I am an old-fashioned girl and prefer couples to wait til marriage (in real life). But in books, it's nice that the couples are in love and it's actually making love and not just sex. I think the author portrayed that well. Not sure if that was her intention though.
Don't stop to think about it - just press click to buy this set. This is the first time I've read any of Keary Taylor's books but it will not be the last time. Each book is complete in itself but characters from each book are woven across all of them. All are well written and allow you to get to know the people in them.
All four of the siblings work hard for the love they find. And not one of of them would change it. Not the youngest one hold as special place. He has the hardest time finding his way back. But he does and gains so much. This book was amazing to read. I loved every page.
