It’s Thanksgiving break at the Paranormal Institute for Witches. With a week off of school, the girls of the Witch Squad think they’re finally going to be able to enjoy a little needed downtime. But as they start making plans for their big holiday dinner party, they discover that Alba has yet to contact Tony, her husband from back home. After finally convincing her to call him, what she discovers sends the girls into a state of shock.
Will their Thanksgiving be as magical as they’d all hoped it to be? Or will the tragedy that has befallen one of their loved ones ruin Thanksgiving forever?
Reunite with Mercy, Jax, Alba, Sweets, and Holly for this short Witch Squad Holiday special. This novella is Book #4 in the Witch Squad Cozy Mystery series. It does move the plotline between the characters along and the mystery is a complete story – but it is shorter than previous novels. The Witch Squad Cozy Mystery series is a clean, cozy mystery series. Enjoy fun for all ages, no sex, gore, or foul language.

Yet another excellent book. This time you see a softer Alba which was nice. You also get to understand more of why she's so withdrawn. You meet new characters which I'm sure will show up again.
I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed learning more about Alba, who is slowly becoming one of my favourite characters in this fun and quirky series. Although I do like all the characters and for different reasons. This is such a great series and I am glad it found its way to audible, because I can't get enough. It is a light hearted, yet funny cozy mystery series that will have you getting the next book in the series as soon as you have finished this one. Don't worry each book is a stand a lone book but you will have to get the rest so you might as well start at the beginning. The girls are making plans for Thanksgiving and when they find out that non of them have any they plan to spend it together with Mercy and her family. That is when it is discovered that Alba's husband isn't back home were she left him before attending witch college. In fact he was on his way to be with her but it doesn't take someone three weeks to travel six hours. Even though Sweets is busy baking pies good enough to enter into a baking competition she and the rest of the gang put down there mixing bowls in order to be there for there friend. Can Mercy and the rest of witch squad find out what happened to him and reunite all the members of her new family together in one place in time to celebrate thanksgiving? I really like the narrator and like the way she uses her voice to portray each of the characters and there personalities.
In this installment of the Witch Squad Mysteries, the reader sees a new side of Alba, the perpetual grouch of the group. Fortunately there are no murders in this book, but there is mystery which requires the young witches to use their gifts and sleuthing skills. Alba's husband is missing! He disappeared on his way to visit Alba, and the clues to his whereabouts are few and far between. Alba is truly upset and lets her guard drop, showing her emotional vulnerability. With little to go on, the girls resort to house to house canvassing in a neighborhood where a man matching Tony's description has been seen. The day before Thanksgiving results in a happy reunion, and the Habernackle family celebrates Thanksgiving with family and new friends.
Loved this book and (SMALL SPOILER) in place of murder was a missing person, which made me love it even more. More character development and that was a favorite for me. (I am strangely one of those people who even way back to Trixi Belden and Nancy Drew wished I could read about them not having a mystery to solve; like what would they do. LOL) So anyway , that was a nice breath of fresh air. Especially since the last book just kind had the murder on the way back burner. Accusations accusations but no real discovery.
Book 4 of this great series. I especially enjoyed this book as it had references to characters in the Coffee Coven's series, which is the series of older witches by the same author! If you haven't read that series do it!! They seriously are the Golden Girls of witches!! This really did make it enjoyable as everything started to fit together and the twists and turns were great! I certainly didn't see some of them coming!! This is a shorter book but it still packs a punch and doesn't disappoint!!! This book was given to me for free at my request and I have provided this voluntary review.
I really like to read books in a series n this series has it all great main characters n then cast n town n some humor n even some learning !! This #4 is a shorter version n it was good just the same . I'm a fan of MZ Andrews. I like the way her mind works to think of these plots n characters it's a really fun read. I hope you find these books n series as much fun as I have had and still am !! Give it a try u will be glad
After enjoying the first 3 books in this series, despite the poor editing I just couldn't get interested in this story. Alba's husband is missing and, for most of the book, Sweets, Holly and Jax are more concerned about a baking contest than helping find him. The story as a whole didn't hold my interest. it felt somewhat forced, like the author was rushing to get something out and threw it together without going it a lot of thought
Thanksgiving vacation and the members of the Witch Squad are stuck on campus for the holidays. This is a busy, busy time for all involved. The Squad is hunting for the missing husband of one of the members, contacting the dead grandmother of another one of its' members and preparing pies for a Pie Baking Contest that Sweets feels she must win and Jax and her baking partner enter a healthy pie. Great confusion, great joy.
Oh cmon...2 newly married witches who haven't called or even texted each other in 2 months? All because they just aren't those kind of people, like what kind of people? The kind of people that talk to their spouse and don't go 2 whole months without a peep. And a whole group of witches and none have the ability to figure out this man's whereabouts? The whole premise after the accident is crazy. And the baker witch never once thought to just ask the bakery owner if she could work there!
I enjoy the Witch Squad Cozy Mystery Series, but to call this a book is misleading. At most, it's a short story. At least we found out what happened to Tony. I'm sure Char is going to figure in the binding of Linda and Merrick. I will continue on to the next book.
I loved this short, at least no one died in this book. Alba finds out her husband came to surprise her for thanksgiving but he never showed up. The girls learned he had a wreck and hit his head and was taken to the hospital but disappeared after that, now they have to figure out what happened to him.
This is the fourth book in the series. No deaths in this one, though. There's Aida's husband who has been missing for weeks, an interesting pie-baking contest, a question of which man Mercy's mother is most interested in and an unexpected romance. Just as good as the first three books. Quite enjoyable.
I haven't read the other books in the series, but this was a cute mystery. Several girls goes to a witches school, and are off for the Thanksgiving holiday. One of the girls hasn't seen her husband for several months and finds out he left several weeks ago to come and visit her -- but he never arrived. They put their witch and sleuthing skills to the test to try and find him.
It is Thanksgiving and all everyone wants is to have a happy one. When Tony is found to be missing the squad go into overdrive to find him. They have Grandma in their way.Excellent narration by Lisa Cordileone, though I hope Squeaks tones it down soon.lol I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I really enjoy this series. Although it is written about late teens, early 20's group of women the situations and moral situations apply to all ages. A fun lively story about a group of girls joining their different skills (powers) to solve a mystery.
This was another winner. I just love the characters in This series. They are great. I highly recommend this series to everyone who love cozy witch mysteries. Diana Romano
I loved this story, sweet and short but it definitely has some interesting plot development. I also loved the summoning of ghost, the pie competition and the story grandma.
Mercy's mom has relationship problems, which man to choose? Alba's husband has gone missing in his way for a surprise visit for Thanksgiving. The Witch Squad is determined to help both!
The Witch Squad don’t get involved in murder this time, but n finding one of their own’s husband. He went missing when he came from New Jersey to find Alba and have Thanksgiving with her. Again, a fun, easy read. On to the next one!
Love the ending. The whole book os amazing. You are a very talented writer. The book had me from beginning to the end. I laughed so much at the couple and cake at the end. What a great way to keep young couples working on who is right. Thank you for your books.
