The concept was a good idea but the story and the characters were not well developed. It was rushed, therefore I never really felt a connection to the characters.
Also the editing was not good, which is very distracting especially if the story is lacking.
I really wanted to like this but for me it was just meh!

This was such a sweet treat. I enjoy all of May Gordon's books. In this book the hero, Dean, has been celibate for more than ten years and our heroine, Harper, is a virgin. Cannon is the first male physique she has laid eyes on and she comments that she thinks he's bigger than average. I had to laugh at that.
Dean is hired to rescue his ex-commander's daughter, Harper. As soon as he sees the vision before him sparks fly on both sides. They immediately connect.
He safely brings her back to her father but he is very hesitant that she go back home with him. She tells him she will go for just a few days and pack up...only to be kidnapped again.
I definitely recommend!!

Shortish novella with tons of steamy moments and Military men!!
Dean and the crew are finally having their own private unit to take on cases they want. Now they get a call from a old general asking for their help. His daughter Harper was kidnapped overseas reading to a small village. Just by the picture Dean is head over heels now he has a mission get his girl to safety. As for Harper shes trying to be calm as can be under these kidnapping circumstances. Until her knight and shiny armor comes blasting in and resucing her.
And boy does he this whole novella is sweet with some action and you already can tell who the bad guy is. I do wanna read the other guys stories seems like no manwhores are in it.
No ow drama slight om drama (crazy guy) no cheating, Drama, secondary charas, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore guy (celbite guy 10 years)

I love this first book of the CIG series. May Gordon knows how to write her alpha heroes and strong heroines.
Harper is kidnapped in Columbia and her father sets out to have Dean’s team find her. Dean knows instantly when he sees her picture that she is his. When they finally make it out of the Columbia jungle, they are ready to start their lives together and move on from that nightmare. What they don’t realize is that the danger was never to far behind them. Can they find the person behind her kidnappings before it’s too late?
Ugh I can’t wait for the rest of the team to get their stories!!!

Cannon
May Gordon is a fairly new author to me. I discovered her from the Forever Safe series. I love military romance but they are typically long and full of violence and foul language. I am very happy to say that this one is not. It's like she took everything good from the typical military books and wrote the good parts. I can't wait to see what the rest of the series brings.

Cannon by May Gordon is a great read. This is the first book in CIG series. This is the first book I have read by this author. This is the story of Dean and Harper. Dean is a founding member of Cannon Intelligence Group. He and his team are asked by the General to rescue his kidnapped daughter. Harper is an Army brat and a teacher. She is kidnapped while teaching underprivileged kids in Columbia. Dean knew as soon as he saw Harper’s picture that she was meant to be his. This is a quick read. The book has twists and turns, suspense. This story was a quick read. I definitely recommend the book. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This is the first book in a new series from this talented author. Harper is a General’s daughter who is kidnapped in Columbia. Dean and his team are assigned to go and rescue Harper, and the attraction between them is instant. This is a well written story which is sweet and filled with danger. The only down side in my opinion, is that this story felt a tad rushed. I look forward to reading more from this author.

It was a good story. I liked both leads, Dean and Harper. I'm looking forward to the series and seeing how the rest of the leaders of CIG find their loves, and hopefully the secondary characters will be more present in each as the guys couple off and their core extended can grows.

this was a really great book! he helps rescue people. she is a teacher and is kidnapped because of who her father is? he will do everything to protect her once he meets her he wants her for his own. you must read this book!

Exciting
Saving people their way is what CIG does now. Cannon has worked so hard he knows he is missing something. It's not until he has to rescue Harper that he understands that his life isn't complete unless she is in it. Action and hotness.

A good romance of rescue mission turned into love. Ive been known May's book to be OTT instalove and this one included. The story was well written with vivid action plot right from.the beginning. Sweet caring h and tough bad ass alpha H met under duress, but promised forever. A bit of plot twist nearing the end, HEA nonetheless.

This is new author for me, but I love it! The series just began and I love it already. I love the alpha male but the love interest was not a wilting flower. Short read with loveable charavters
Loved Cannon!!! He was so sweet you couldnt help but fall in love withhim. Harper was very likeable. She wasn't whiney which I like. This was a short sweet read. I can't wait to read about the rest of the guys.
