This was a good story, I loved the characters, I just didn't feel like they had a connection.
Brock was going straight, well after one more job, but then it didn't go as planned and he ended going to prison. He let his girlfriend Mila believe that he just packed up and left. But really it was just to keep her safe from his old life.
Little did he know he left a very big something behind when he left Mila behind. Now he's back and he wants Mila back, but is it too late to go back or will they be able to move forward and finally have their happily ever after.

It had so much potential to be a good read, I just felt like they lacked chemistry, connection. I really wanted to love it. I felt that Mila could have been a bit more angry about the whole left behind. Storyline was good, but I wanted a bit more detail, more depth to the storyline. Or who knows maybe it was just me and someone else will love the story exactly the way it is. So if you love single parent books then try it, maybe you will love it.

Unfortunately his final gig was a set up and he went to prison for five years. He let Mila believe he deserted her so he could keep the crime family away from her so she would remain safe until he could return to her.

Little did he know that he left a piece of himself behind.

Loved this one by May Gordon..shocker I know.
I just love the way she tells her stories. This story, like all of her other ones, pulled me in and kept my attention throughout. No others after meeting, dual POV, virgin h, no mention of H's past, epilogues at 5 & 10 years.

This is the 3rd book in this awesome series, and is Brock and Mila’s story. Will these two get a second chance at love? No spoilers; you really need to read this series yourself, as you will not be disappointed. This is a beautifully written story which is sweet, steamy, entertaining, and with a tad twists, drama, and suspense, which all had me intrigued and hooked throughout. I recommend for all readers.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Brock and Mila have an interesting story. They have a strong connection that both believe might last. Mila knows nothing about his criminal dealings when he disappears and leaves her heartbroken. Their second chance comes when he gets out of prison. Brock has a surprise in store though. Brock met the love of his life 5years prior, but a betrayal brought him away for 5 years. Now he is back and wants his Mila back no matter what. Mila was heartbroken for years and now Brock is back and she is angry and still so much in love 🥰🥰 Brock has to work to get his second chance and his family back. But a blast from the past threatens his HEA. Sweet, sad, steamy, romantic and safe with action and with a sweet HEA😍😍😍 I loved how obsessed and caring Brock was and how much he wanted to make things right for his family ❤️❤️❤️

This was an okay second chance romance. The story was well written and had a really good pace. I like May Gordon’s writing style. I liked Mila, she had spunk. But I didn’t care too much for Brock, I felt like he was too cavalier about the break up, and I felt like it would have suited the situation if he had come to Mila with a bit more humility..

Good story but pretty badly edited compared the the authors other books which are really good. Somehow the quality has gone down in this book. Lots of missing words, awkwardly written sentences, sentences repeated, words repeated in the same sentence, words mixed up in the sentences so they dont make sense.

May Gordon is a new to me author and I'm so glad I gave this novella a chance as I loved the storyline.
The words flow really well and the story hooks you in from the start.
There's a few twists and turns to keep you on your toes too.
I loved reading their story and highly recommend you one click it too.
I can't wait to read more by May Gordon

She's done it.

A crimnal and a virgin... What's not to love. This book has the suspense of not being worth the one you want, and love that last forever. May has done it again with the alpha male doing whatever it takes to get the girl and keep her safe.

Set Free

I really enjoyed Set Free, It was a second chance instalove story, with the Hero and Heroine being in a committed relationship before circumstances beyond their control kept them apart for 5 years. This short story is 100% free of om/ow drama, abuse of any kind. There is a small amount of violence/death. They end up having a good and happy life with babies.
