It's a kaleidoscope of a portfolio of a work-in-progress of a great talent who's still in an early stage of fabulousness, but it's fabulousness nonetheless. The writing is unfettered and unaffected, and the art is dazzling. In a world of tightly-pruned topiaries, this is an unabashedly sprawling ivy.

I loved the little surprises in this book! While maybe not the point in a book about art, I do wish we'd gotten a bit more text like we did in A Kind of Magic, just so that we could feel the development of his style and choices. But it's a lovely portfolio inside the pages of a coffee table book and I really enjoy his art and designs!
