A fearless little girl adopts the monster hiding in her closet. As they embark on a series of increasingly frightening adventures, KillerJoeCat realizes he's too fond of Annee to eat her. But her parents look tasty! And so does Annee's babysitter, her friends, the neighbors... Imagine Calvin and Hobbes as a gory, psychedelic horror epic.
This is such a unique work of horror that it deserves more than five stars. It takes me back to my own childhood. I was always a sensitive (as many children are), and I was convinced there were creatures in my closet. What of demons and monsters? Are they real or fiction? What if the only people who can see them are children? Howl delivers an answer to those what if's and still leaves the reader wondering.
